@Noelemahc Cool! Hope you enjoy Sundered is awesome as well. Bleed games are cool/different. Loved Iconoclasts, Fox N Forest, Alwa's games, The Messenger (masterpiece), Giana Sisters, Blossom Tales (top down game A link to the past style), Timespinner, Cathedral (awesome), etc.
You like metroidvanias and 2d platformers ? Well you are in for a treat on the Switch!! I completed 275 games on that system and there are so many good games that most People do not know about like Aggelos, Nightmare Boy, Pankapu, Shu, Little Triangle, Outbuddies DX, Sydney Hunter, Momodora, etc.........
Nobody knows this yet officially, but do you people think there will be a OLED switch bundle around Christmas or in 2022 ? I am tempted at buying it in October because I play like 40% handheld, but don't want to pay the extra price just for a few more features....
I started playing this game a week ago when it was on sale. This is my 275th on the Switch. I played 12 hours so far. My only complaint is the lack of direction on where to go next, but besides that nothing bad stands out really. Controls are not the best but you get use to it. 7.5 out of 10 so far for me!
@MisterMan Perfect thanks for confirming it! I'll give it a shot once it's on a sale..or maybe I won't wait...so many good games on the switch (for me anyway as I like platformers)
Can someone tell how is the gameplay in Wizard of Legend ? I personally don't like twin stick shooters and I am pretty sure this is not one... I just want to be sure. but I think I could play this one with the cross right?
@pbb76 I could not believe your comment...I had to double check... but yeah Mantis Burn Racing got a 9 from NL which does not make sense to me at all. lol
The Flannel Fox provided a nice review on it (WOL)
Good timing. Just completed the game last evening and I totally agree with your review! I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. It's an interesting game for under $10. It gets a little bit repetitive, but at least it does not take that long to get to the last boss.
I bought the ''Breath of the Wild'' model a few months ago and I personally really like it (it looks awesome in person). It is not Wireless (cable is long enough tho)/no HD feature/no gyro option I believe, but it is comfortable and a lot less cheaper than the pro controller.
Not sure about the permadeath system...but the game looks alright, the price is not that high and I need a game like this to play during my lunch hour at work!
Is there a hard mode available right from the beginning? I did not mind Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot on the 3DS, but they were honestly too easy...
I am about to finish Little Triangle on the Switch and I am quite impressed! I played a lot of platformer in the past years, but this one is pretty special (lot of different mechanics)! I am enjoying myself a lot especially with all the hidden areas! The price is just right and I hope there will be a sequel.
I hope....I really hope there won't be too many ''ports and remastered games''. I just don't understand how about 5% of the games coming out on the Switch are old titles....Bring us a new Mario Party, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart, Far Cry, Need 4 Speed or something!
Just created a kickstarter account to ''back'' this project! Chicken Wiggle would be a good fit for the Switch especially with the level editor option. I enjoyed it on the 3DS and I would not mind to be able to play more levels on my switch! I also want to support that developper as I want Treasurenauts to be released (even if it is not supposed to be related....)!
I honestly was not sure about this game....I decided to download the demo and I was like...this is actually pretty fun! It was 33% off therefore I went ahead and bought it! Thanks to the demo option. I just learn about this new content for free! Sold (X2)
Nice collection!! I am a sucker for platformers therefore I bought a lot of ''indie gems'' in the past year. I bought about 10 physical games (Odyssey, TLOZ, Ittle Dew 2+, Tiny Barbarian, Shantae, Cave Story+, Poi, Azure Striker Pack, 1-2 Switch, etc.) and sold them after I was done, but I bought like 25 digital games (Nightmare Boy, Blossom Tales, Nightmare Boy, Bleed, Treasure Trove, Pankapu, Bleed, Shu, Vesta, Guns Gore & Cannoli, Dragon's Trap, Caveman Warriors, The Mummy Demastered, Xeodrifter, Sonic Mania, Blaster Master Zero, etc)
I actually played the first title yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised! It is a short game, but very fun and the enemies/bosses are engaging. I will probably wait for a sale due to the lenght of the game.
Thanks for the review! I will be buying this when it comes out in North America. I am a sucker for games like this.....and I could not be happier with the platformers for the Nintendo Switch
Well I own a normal PC, but not a ''gaming'' one. I would have bought this for the Switch, but I am not going to buy another console just for a few titles. I personally love platformers and I cannot complaint even if I would LOVE to see Iconoclasts, A Hat In Time and Cuphead on the Switch!
Is it me or it looks like the upcoming Bloodstained : ritual of the night? I am kind of interested and not at the same time by both games....a little too generic for me.
I just want to be sure I understand correctly before saying ''is this a freaking joke?''. If I buy a physical copy of Mega Man Legacy Collection.... I do pay for 2 games right?, but I can only sell one afterward if I use the code right? It seems like it is just a 50th way for Nintendo/Capcom to make money on their customer's back. If so....PASS!
I rarely do it...almost never....but I will double dip for this one! It is honestly an awesome game. Would be perfect if a new world was added or something.
I am tempted, but it seems like there is a lot of backtracking to do which I personally hate...I think I will pass on this one or wait for a bit sale later down the road.
IMO: Xeodrifter is pretty good, Mutant Mudds is good and Chicken Wiggle is good as well. I am almost certain Treasurenauts will be a great game (the best of them)! Day 1 if there is a physical release and Day 1 if there is only a digital release and the price is fair.
I own a Switch...only heard about this game and Mercenary Kings today.....they both look pretty good and fun!! physical copies available on top of that...sold....canadian studio....sold again! I personally like platformers therefore I cannot complaint as there are so many good options on the Switch (The Mummy Demastered, Pankapu, Rayman, Shovel Knight, Cave Story, Axiom Verge, Guns Gore & Cannoli, Nightmare Boy, Azure Striker Gunvolt, Shantae, Sonia Mania, Wonderboy, Mighty Gunvolt Burst, etc.)
I was thinking about buying this game tonight.....not sure anymore. Maybe I will wait for a sale! I have so many good games on the go right now (Odyssey, Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 and 2, Bleed, Blossom Tales, etc.)
YES PLEASE! A real racing game like NFS, Forza or Burnout would be more than welcome on the Switch as there is basically nothing. Don't start me on Thumper, Fast RMX, Redout or Gear.Club Unlimited lol
I stopped playing Oceanhorn after an hour....too slow, too dull.....like you said...mistake purchase lol but I completed this gem last week and I could not put it down. It is fairly easy in general, but still quite addictive! @Adamco
Completed this game last week! It is very good (not great/innovative), but I really enjoyed it! I could not put it down. It reminded me a lot of the Minish Cap and ALTTP which I personally very appreciated. The story is well told, the game is easy in general and the puzzles are well designed (but easy for the most past).
I actually bought Volgarr the Viking last week on the Switch, but I do not have the patience to memorize everything (which I am quite good at) and still die 200 times. I had a very hard time to complete the first level and beat the first boss after that... I was like ''nope F that'' especially considering I felt the controls were sluggish (you know when you hit the button, but there is like a split second delay). I would suggest you not to buy it as it is less enjoyable and harder than Tiny Barbarian DX IMO. @Dang69
I really wanted that game in physical copy for the switch, but did not want to the pay the price which is too high IMO therefore I asked my GF to buy it for me since I did not have any other idea... The game is just waiting for me under our chritmas tree (she got it at EB Games) and I will probably give this DLC a shot for fun! Which character should I choose? I've read it is better to play both games with Copen. Also wondering if the levels are the same or not depending on the character? I need to finish Caveman Warriors (currently working on the last 3 bonus levels) before jumping into this one after December 25th.
Hey people, do you know at what eastern time the eshop games are usually available? I was looking to start this game last night around 12:30 am, but it was not available. I checked again this morning around 7:30 am and still not available for purchase. The release date is today.
I hope the Smash Bros. fan boys will give this game a chance as it looks pretty good! I personally do not like this type of game and never really understood it (yes I did try several times to like it), but this one seems to be a good alternative for a good price! Some people prefer to buy the same game on 3 different consoles instead of buying a new game...
I was tempted..... but $15 US for a digital game with 2-3 hours of gameplay which came out in 2012...no thanks. Furthermore, there are so many good games available for the Switch. I will buy it if it comes on sale.
I played through the first level last evening on the Switch as I did not really have the time, but still wanted to try it. I like the game so far!! Can't wait to finish work and go play more tonight. I personally like platformers with different characters/abilities and collectibles (batteries) that can unlock bonus levels.
It is actually not a bad game! I personally do not like auto-runner, but I did not mind this one on the Nintendo Switch especially for the price! I got to admit I did not even try the last 2 levels after seeing the videos on youtube as I do not have that type of patience. The music is good, but it is a very hard game especially the fourth and last world! It would have been a great addition to be able to turn off the auto runner and/or change the control settings. I would normally give it a 6 out of 10 considering it is very short and not that enjoyable, but I was pleasantly surprised and would give it a 7 out of 10 after all.
Update: I never quit a game because it is too hard and I decided to try again the following day in handheld mode during my lunch break and was able to pass the last 3 levels fairly easily... I don't know why, but it felt easier/better on the handheld mode. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the game
Anybody knows if this Treasurenauts game is still in the making or when it should be released? It looks good! I liked the previous titles from Renegade Kid and Atooi. Chicken Wiggle was fairly easy and a simple game, but I still had a lot of fun with it! Same with Xeodrifter.
I usually do not care that much about DLC as it is usually only new characters and BS like that... but the gameplay seems to be different and there will be new abilities with the different characters. I will possibly try it, but not for a few months as I completed the previous DLC not too long ago. Just wondering why they prefer to work on DLC's instead of a new game?
