Armor Games has announced that The Adventure Pals will be launching on Nintendo Switch on 3rd April.
The game is a side-scrolling, action-packed platformer about friendship and exploration, featuring RPG elements and two-player local drop-in/drop-out co-op. Players will team up with their (rather excellent-looking) giraffe, Sparkles, discovering 105 levels across five whimsical worlds. You'll be taking on unique quests and meeting characters such as zombie pirate cats, post-apocalyptic dinosaurs and hot dogs that "poop explosive mines".
To celebrate the release announcement, a video has been released showing the first gameplay footage from the Nintendo Switch version of the game, offering a quick look at two players beginning the adventure in local co-op mode. Make sure to give it a watch above if you want to see more about the game!
The Adventure Pals is scheduled to be available for $14.99 in North America, with European details to come.

Why they hit animals? 😢
This looks like one for @Anti-Matter.
I'm interested but will have to wait for NL's review of it. Hard to get a solid impression of the game.
Day 1 for me as it looks pretty good, I am a sucker for games like this and the price is fine by me!
Europe gets left behind again...
Imean UK. Since stuff happens...
@JJ286 Same here. Its a turn off to this game for me. Animals are as intelligent than us. I dont see the point to hit/eat them. Except this, its looks nice.
I will probably get it, giraffes are my 9th favorite animal so this is a pretty big deal for me.
@0muros I just nonsense violence towards animals, is not cool at all.
That alone is a no purchase from me.
This looks like a lot of fun! I'm happy to see a platformer with RPG elements in it.
@0muros I dislike most games for having a very messed up moral standpoint towards animals. You have to save some from being murdered or hurt or kept in captivity, but at the same time eating their corpses heals your character often more than actually healthy fresh fruits.
I'm glad I got through Breath of the Wild without ever having to hunt, otherwise it would've spoiled one of the best games I ever played. In some games it's easy enough to pretend that the food is just a vegan variant, but even then, knowing that it isn't what the developers intended, really creates a gaping gap between the character I'm supposed to identify with and me.
@Shambo Its so nice to have an another similar or like me about being vegan. I did the same with Breath of the wild, I never did hunting. But on the other side, I admit that all the meats that I got from my The legend of Zelda serie amiibo, I made my character eated it. More because I was feeling bad to let dead corpse on the ground.
Meat industry its a so big society brainwashing. Animals products are eveywhere and in everything. Its disgusting, extremely sad and a total disaster for our life/earth. A wise person will know directly, because its logic, that fruits and vegetables are, in all ways, better for us. As you mention, in almost every video game, it restore more health to eat something dead... A non sense.
Nice to talk about real stuff. I will send you a friend request on console.
You are pretty fools. It's a GAME, with colored and imaginary animals. Fools. Humans too are animals, vegetables too are living beings murdered by you. Fools (and assassins).
Anyway looks decent, eventually more variety could have helped it.
I played this at EGX - it was the best game ever! You save animals! There is no harming of animals - play it and u will see you have a giraffe that saves the awesome whale and magical sea horses!!! The marine world is amazing its all about exploring a magical world with the most beautiful animals and nature! On an adventure. Definately going to buy on switch!
This looks familiar. I remember playing a game like this a long time ago when i was a kid, on my computer as a flash game. Or something like this at least. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? I also feel like i remember the goal of the game being to help the boy rescue his pet rock. Im going to see if I can find what I'm talking about
@OrigamiSquirtle Ok, i was totally right, apparently this is like a remake of super adventure pals. Huh. Well, maybe if it goes on sale and im feeling nostalgic
Look, its Scribblenauts.
