Yeah, I played the free-to-play version on the Apple TV. It’s alright, but I just hate the micro transaction setup so much that they’re doing in mobile games now. It’s fun, though. No Mario Kart, but it’s fun.

Who's your team, if you don't mind me asking? I'm a Raps fan and always thought that Masai was fairly 'crafty.' I'm interested to see if DeMar, Lowry, JV and the rest of the team are well represented in this game. I'm really on the fence about whether or not to pick this one up and that might clinch it for me.

A fair review. We'll wait and see if they get these bugs fixed promptly, then we'll decide if it's worth the cost of the game, as well as the cost of a micro SD card that it is forcing us to buy. If it's worth it, then hooray for everyone. If it's not... well, then all the best to them...

Re: Switch Was the Best-Selling Platform for August 2017

Me too! Started off my time with the Switch getting my socks knocked off by Breath of the Wild (the first Zelda I have ever played), then was pleasantly surprised with ARMS. Now, my addiction to Splatoon 2 is starting to concern my wife, I think lol. Just had an awesome time fighting alongside my brother in some Turf Wars for the last couple of hours. I was lucky enough to have the TV, while he was on his Switch playing in handheld mode. Really was a great example of the flexibility of the system. We could have 'switched' at any time if we wanted to!

So true. The last iPhone I bought, the 6, was the first year they offered it with 128 GB of storage. I'll never go less than that, ever. May I suggest this:

Mine is 3 TB and is completely awesome, and didn't break the bank. It's great for when you run out of space on your phone and the best part is, you can access your content anywhere! It's like having expandable storage for your phone, or laptop, or iPad, or whatever else. And the app is really easy to use, and functions as a pretty good music player (or at least a means to transfer content to your media player of choice; I like VOX). Super awesome.

@Jokerwolf
Exactly! As a consumer, would you rather a cheaper system with an option to upsize the storage? Sure! Now you can, and it's entirely up to you by how much. What's the problem here? Game systems are expensive. If you wanna save money and do something cheap, perhaps find a new hobby? Haven't had to yet, as I'm only halfway through my storage (only downloaded size-efficient Nintendo software so far), but I'm planning on grabbing a 128GB card for the 3rd-party beasts.

Very wise. Just got nailed with this tonight. My team was kicking butt and taking names. We got overzealous in their base, we were flanked and lost control of the middle ground. We lost a match that would've been a clear win. Lesson learned.

@VIIIAxel
Yeah, for sure. That is crazy annoying. It actually takes quite a bit of practice to learn how to counter a throw-spammer. I wonder if they could make it so that attacks that are used too frequently become weaker, or something?

"As for me, I'll keep an eye out for a Breath of the Wild Guardian at its recommended retail price..."

After months of looking for this one, my wife and I came across one today when we casually strolled into an EB Games. She jumped up and screamed and steadfastly 'guarded' it while we waited for an employee to come by and unlock it from the shelf. Haven't felt that happiness with an amiibo for awhile, so this was a treat today.

Re: Guide: Best ARMS Characters: Abilities, Strengths And Strategies

FlashFan207

When I first started playing the game, I was drawn to Kid Cobra, but lately I've been maining Byte & Barq because no one else seems to use them. I like staying away from the popular characters because they get enough love, you know? Still, when I use Cobra it feels natural for me, for some reason. Just working on collecting as many of the arms that electrocute, freeze, or stun in some other way. Absolutely loving this game.

Re: Guide: What Time Is The ARMS Global Testpunch Demo?

FlashFan207

@NEStalgia Yeah, the genre blend is turning out to be some crazy fun. And I also traditionally have disliked the slow characters in fighting games, but for some reason the mummy felt natural. I guess because it's a different kind of fighter, all the old rules are off, lol!
