@RupeeClock I'd rather they actually put in time and effort into their games, like trails of mana. I agree that they need to update the graphics and having these mods should be a good motivator on what can be done, however ultimately it's nothing more then a fantasy for a company to continue to update and change their products towards the current hardware, there is no incentive.
Unless... they finally decide to release DLC for their retro projects (or any that I'm aware of) however that opens up a new can of worms.
@RupeeClock there not gonna do anything like that, the game is a quick cash grab for the Nintendo audience. Have you seen what they did with the steam releases of v and vi. Just be lucky you got an unaltered version.
@retro_player_77 alright then let me re-quote that "a good game in 10 years" NFSMW2012 was a reskinned BP, without the same aspects that BP had. HP2010 was a great game that I would gladly pay full price for.
@retro_player_77 Criterion is a shell of its former self, all the main developers and creators of the burnout series have left or started other studios. Criterion hasn't created a game worth playing in 10 years.. it will go the way of blackbox.
@TG16_IS_BAE @Zenszulu I guess, but still he fought for 2 years for a record that somebody will break in the future, to me that seems like a huge waste of time and money. I'm not gonna say I know what happened with everything, but if it was me, I would focus on the important things and forget nonsense like this, anybody can say anything, however it all catches up on them.
All that will happen now is Billy will have a target in the back of his head, and the accusers got away with point fingers.
@Razer the problem with comparing monolith and EA is that xenoblade is only available on switch justifying it's price point, while BP is on every system for less then half the asking price. All you really need to do (if you really wanted the game) is wait for the eventual sale of this game (when majority of players will flood in) and play it then. The current asking price is just a tax on the hype fooling consumers to buy into it early, which EA knows that they get away with, this price point will come down to the reasonable and foreseeable price EA has plans for.
@BlackenedHalo it's stupid fun, I never played it, however I did read up on it in a Nintendo power magazine way back... not sure if I'll get it, but it does bring back memories from that era.
So I bought it(sword) played it upto the second gym, music in the wilds (I'll call it) is great, but the second gym(route 5) is probably I worst I heard so far. It questions to what where they thinking? It's also kinda funny how easy it is cause I got a ninjask in the wilds with false swipe so now I can catch anything.. heck even used it to beat the first two gyms. It's a little too simplistic, however I do like the atmosphere of the game. Once I get scyther then I'll just use him as my main for the rest of the game.
I couldn't careless if they go digital only, I buy my games digitally because buying physical means damage/missing carts/cd's. Plus I don't need to carry a bag on me in case I want to play multiple games on the go. The switch is the first main system I bought from Nintendo since the n64, everything I play from them is handheld only.
@WesEds The reason why GTA online is successful is because of the competitiveness of the community. They release vehicles like the deluxo and oppressor, and expect people to sell their warehouses in full lobbies with these try-hard toys. It's just easier for people to buy MTX then to deal with 4 or people trying to blow up your stuff for the same amount of cash as you can get from robbing a store. Basically what it is is a half finished game with no real direction, and the only reason it still successful to this day is because of these grinders/try-hards. GTA4 online was a way better game with a heck of a lot less then what GTA5 online is.
Got dragon quest XI, been playing the 2d version, and holy f^#$, what was square thinking with FFV and FFVI on PC, they could have updated the graphics like that and released them like that. Let's hope they do that when they release them on switch.
PC will get all the old JRPG's, however it seems Atlus is late to the party(probably licensing issues) Either way porting it to switch doesn't matter to me, bring it here to keep the masses quiet.
@Smashfan508 last monster hunter we got was 2 years ago, and that was something of a remake from the 3ds game, we have yet to get a monster hunter game specifically for the switch.
@Dr_Corndog rinse/repeat, If they did away with numerical scores and just said it's worth buying full price, then yeah that's all you really need to know, if it's not good enough - wait for a sale, or never touch it (borrow it from a friend etc) when scoring games it really takes into a factor of which game is better based on journalistic reviews which cause flame wars. It reminds me of the torgue quest from BL2 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dPjnaMkywVQ&t=253s
@Damo I see, there are a few folks I know that have done away with the rating system and just use a rent/buy/or never touch. The rating system feels like comparing games to each other as opposed to whether or not to buy it. My two cents.
I don't get the rating system on this website, bioshock is great and a 9/10 is well deserved, however trails of mana had similar amounts of pros and cons and got an 8/10. Is there some logic to the rating system or is just random?
@technotreegrass I guess it's one of those 'you had to be there' experiences. I grew up with chrono trigger and super metroid, those games are great for anybody even starting today, I suppose I just missed that boat.
Been playing since they came out, I've ran into a few bugs (nothing and save and quit couldn't fix) and noticed that some of the old methods of cheezing bosses has been patch. For those saying it's grindy as F, I would like to take this time to mention that the drop rates for legenaries is significantly higher then the original. So it won't take you a week to get farm that legendary from one boss, just between a couple of hours.
Borderlands collection 3 games(hundreds and hundreds of hours) 50 bucks.... burnout paradise 1(roughly 200 hours if you just want to mess around) 50 bucks... you already know which is the better deal.
Seriously though I have 600 hours on BL2(pc) and only did 2 characters(1 OP8) only managed 500 hours with paradise after getting the diamond car, and messing around with my in games stats (barrel rolls, stunt runs, and takedowns) just to do nothing else... the remaster came out I made maybe 70 hours on it before I just gave up.

NFS if it's just a direct port of the original.

Awesome, HP is on the list, it is the only NFS game that was good since the 90's.
