I'm starting to prefer this, that way I can focus on one game at a time, instead of buying a whole lot of games and having a backlog I'll never finish.
@Phostachio This is an article about twitter correct? It some how became news worthy for a media website to pick up on, and seeing how it's about gaming and the platform they post comments about, which did nothing but get them into a dumpster fire which Could have been prevented if they where not on twitter, however a special snowflake at their company decided to post something to cause drama, which in turn points the finger at gamers as a whole, and not the anti-SJW crowd.
So basically what is happening here is WE are getting blamed for something we never did and all because of game companies catering towards the casuals.
@Phostachio I could care less about this game, however if some SJW snowflake, or Anti-SJW snowflake came into my game and started making a ruckous over certain aspects like DIFFICULTY, and they end up changing the game for these flithy casuals on twitter, then gets extremely annoying. Hence my comment, Game companies need to get the H#LL off twitter.
@TheFullAndy @Phostachio hardly, I've experienced gamers on full fronts, and most people who play games are not gonna get upset the second someone says something inappropriate on a whim, and even if they do, they themselves are special snowflakes who use OP items and consider themselves the best. It may come as a surprise to you that most gamers play games for playing games, not some over-glorified achievement they have to post on a social media platform just to tell everyone how good they are.
In the words of filthy frank insecurity intensifies "I'm better then everyone"
Why do video game companies THINK that gamers use TWITTER, most of us are exorcised from the platform for being a "gamer", so why even bother catering towards your non-customers. I'm sure if you want to announce games, most players WILL check your website for updates/use media's like this website for gaming news. Putting your on twitter is gonna do nothing but keep you in a dumpster fire, the second you make these snowflakes cry.
With the exception of games released on steam (quality control isn't in valves values) Steam platform is 100 times better then the eshop : refunds, cheap games, reviews, community discussions, customization. If Nintendo doesn't control the quality of games that are released on their platform, what's the point of purchasing their products?
You know there are A LOT of other games to talk about, this place only seems to care about every little small detail about this game, I would say I'd come back in 8 months from now, when they have a section on the top of the website telling us how great the game is with every little nook and cranny about it.
I wonder which is funnier, Nintendo releasing competitive games with online options, or people complaining about being competitive on a Nintendo console.
Nerfing in a AC game..... what's the point? If it's because of "Time Traveller's ", then they might as well track them down go to their house and slap their hands for doing it, both are a waste of time anyways.
Funny that these analysis don't know about the snes/nes collections that Nintendo offers currently. Sounds like they need to go back to apple, or find a new job.
@graysoncharles Agreed, I don't understand how they can have a prefect eshop for the 3DS, but have a cumbersome one for the switch. Personally I dislike visiting the eshop unless it's for something I know I want. Removing reviews was just scummy and annoying.
@Mountain_Man thanks, I seen the reviews on the app, made me think twice about downloading/using it. I may look into that KeePassXC, see if I can use it.
Google authenticator app has a lot of issues apparently, if you lose your phone/smart device, or it dies suddenly, your done. No recovery options. Nintendo should have just made its own 2 step option, or have a save state for accounts, that way your able to get your account back to what you had. Maybe even a Skype option for identification purposes. It's not hard to come up with security options and I'm sure people who invested into Nintendo wouldn't mind using these options to get their accounts back.
I've heard this same song and dance from these companies for the past 14 years starting with square. The problem I see is that these companies are creatively bankrupt and are afraid of spending resources on something they think will fail.
With Sega's record of failures it's no surprising that they lost touch with their fan base, and only see dollar signs. Holding a game ransom for release in order for consumers to purchase their older games is just a new low. How I see things if you cannot continue to create game in a series that sells due to incompetence, then sell off your IP to someone who can.
@EVIL-C Given EA's track record whoever they blame means nothing, they know what they did and putting the blame on gamers is more of an accomplishment then anything. I could care less about supporting EA and if they abandon the switch the better the system will be. Paying full price for a 12 year old game with a few graphical options is an insult, it should be 29.99, however EA only cares about $.
Their are way better companies to support out there. If you have patients and want to support the original developers, look for dangerous driving 2 - by ThreeFieldsEntertainment..
@tofarawaytimes what will probably happen to get around it would be the base game will have no MTX's however the DLC will have MTX's. That way they can get away with a game being rated teen, and their dlc(if mtx's do become AO rating) be rated higher.
@LavaTwilight IDK violence is a part of life, animals killing and eating other animals, volcano's exploding causing all kinds of living creatures to get burned alive, or suffocated. Airplanes crashing killing or mutating bodies. Acknowledging and accepting violence is a part of growing up, if not your setting yourself up to be taken advantage of, and people will take advantage of that don't kid yourself.
The universe is chaos, along with everything else. Being civilized is one thing, but denial of the truth only portraits someone as a fool.
I'm not telling you to buy this game, however if your biggest concern is about stomping on a Goomba in super Mario brothers, you may need to re-evaluate your current situation, that or find a new medium of entertainment.
@LavaTwilight I don't understand? Every game has some sort of violence and murder in it. Zelda even has that, It may not be human to human but still, it's violence/murder.
I'm actually having a hard time coming up with a list of games that DON'T have any violence at all, unless it's solo racing games with no opponents, or anything else.
Sorry to say but I wouldn't watch the weather network with you bud, you'd run me out of kleenex.
I think most companies are now releasing ports of their games on the switch because they can get away with over pricing them. Increase of market aside, they can charge more here do to the lack of competition, have it stated as "new" despite it being out for a year everywhere else, and not have to fix bugs from the previous release in order to capitalize on a new medium.
In other words, buy it else where. If you really want it, PC has the original (no mp) and remaster. Or other current gen systems. Also like other people said analog is built into this game, so you lose that ability.
Whether or not these games are on sale (NFP) I would rather buy a new game for full price, then buy a last Gen game for full price. Tropical freeze has been out since last gen and it's still launch day price. At this point I may just buy all my FP games used, as it is the smarter option.
@SteelToeCowboy it happens, if your worried about disconnecting in a match, and are overly concerned about a K/D ratio then yeah crying is the only thing you can do. If you really want to get better just continue to play.
I'd rather have a loss, then A permanent ban thank you.
I have to agree with some of the comments, under 20 bucks seems like a fair price for these. If they go ridiculous high then I'll just wait for a sale, or play it on a better system with better quality.
@sixrings forza is on pc as well as halo. If Xbox has that great of a line up, then having switch users get one little video game collection from nintendo's past on it shouldn't hurt Xbox at all then? Why they being like this?
Rare replay would be the only game I would want for the switch, that way I can get rid of my N64. Why should I buy an Xbox for a collection that costs 30 dollars, when mircosoft can get that money through switch sales. That or rare replay is the only thing Xbox has to justify consumers to get an xbox.
