From the perspective of someone who's never played a Mega Man game, those bosses look REALLY easy and simple, just dash away and spam your gun. Am I missing something or do people who know what they are talking about see good design in these?

I want to preorder this SO badly incase it runs out. But I just got charged my £200+ for the dark souls kickstarter... so I hope it's still there later

What she's saying is pretty much a given, I think she's right, but that reveals almost nothing about NX's power, especially since we don't even know what resolution it's aiming to run.

@Kirk Exactly this, I am struck at how many people are like "that trailer is so charming"! It's manipulative and typical of a megacorp advertising culture that I really despise.

ROM is also used the manufacture of actual consoles, maybe that's all it is? I feel like disks and especially cartridges are a step backwards, in terms of public image mainly. But in terms of technology, robust cartridges make a lot more sense these days.

Wow, was not expecting that! Might consider changing the header from "It’s time to take out the trash", a lot of people will read the header and move on. I certainly assumed that meant the game was trash

@Yorumi Nintendo's mobile sales rely on the huge fanbase they have built up and are still building up through their consoles. Take that away and you have like 4 years before the mobile stuff tanks on its own

@Yorumi Quality of games is from my personal opinion and experience over the years, I don't keep a chart of ratings on desk xD A ridiculous statement like "most of nintendo's best games came from the snes, n64, and gc" is what needs some serios backing up xD

@Yorumi The Wii had FAR more better titles than GC. Yes it was drowning in shovelware, but that was part of the price to pay for that better library. The Wii U has a very similar library to GCN, a few gems that will be remembered and played far into the future, but not a very large selection of good titles. This crappy generation in-between that produces some good games is BAD for Nintendo's buisiness. If they want to continue this trend, the profitible generation has to happen too. Embracing mobile gaming and the NX concept are the last hope for making this a profitable generation, otherwise this whole pattern and most likely Nintendo themselves will spiral downhill.

In short, Nintendo embracing mobile will guarantee us a generation of high budget NX games. Ignoring it will probably mean the NX would be the last console for Ninty

What a load of nonsense you guys are talking, am I the only one who wants Nintendo to not go under?! Mobile games are the equivalent of last gen's 'casual' success, and you aren't seriously going to tell me that Nintendo's success from the Wii and DS casual games made their core games worse. No. It made it an amazing generation because their budget was insane! The Wii U generation sucked because Nintendo was not profiting enough :/

@Damo I wasn't referring to that, I mean the fact that you dismissed the use of the bomb as necessary "The bomb itself was seen by some as the only way to bring World War II to a close" "many more American lives would be expended trying to secure a surrender.". It's a huge debate among many people with many reasons that it should or shouldn't have happened. I think the IGDA's statement sums it up well. Online vigilantes are a real-world problem, and big companies are some of the only ones with the power to influence these mobs. They should be taking careful care to diffuse certain situations rather than add fuel to the flame.

I don't know much about Alison's views, and I don't care much to know. There are billions of bigots and 'forward thinking' hipsters in the world. Just cause someone with odd or 'wrong' views shows up on the internet, doesn't mean she deserves the full concentration of the world's hate.

@Fee @ggnorekthx I've got some pretty sweet top 10 Splatoon weapons videos But yeah, as of late, Splatoon hasn't really featured simply because of the time that those vids take to make, it's mostly news atm. Heading to the US on the 10th as well so will only be a vid per week for a month.
