8 years since the game was released internationally, not in Japan (that had its release in September 2012), even James's tweet says it was the US and EU release.

Both my Byleth and Banjo amiibos were "delayed" (by which I mean, Amazon still haven't even dispatched them, despite it being release day).

Was very surprised to see the DLC code for the normal-looking partners in the physical box (was led to believe they were digital-only pre-order exclusives), so happily downloading that prior to starting. Unfortunately, Smyths decided (yet again) to not send me any of the other pre-order bonuses, so that's the only benefit for pre-ordering this game for me.

This practice is a complete joke, Team17 have released multiple versions of this game (including a physical bundle, containing both titles and all DLCs, in 2019). Re-re-releasing the exact same bundle, on the exact same console, with no upgrades over the existing, and then only offering a 15% discount to previous buyers?

@Liam_Doolan but it's not about Earthbound, it's about a different game in the series (which is known in the west equally as "Mother" or "Earthbound Beginnings"). The defense doesn't make sense in that regard, it seems like ye deliberately misnamed the game for clickbait, because ye didn't think the real name of the game would generate as much clicks. Sad to see ye feel ye have to resort to such tactics.

So, yiure basically posting an event in a game that will have completely finished by the time it arrives on Switch?

@DennisNOR sites have been reporting on this for years at this point, the validity of more popular sites posting is a fallacy when there's nothing more than speculation and guessing by them.

We get this story about once a week, it's based on the exact same conditions each time (industry "experts", who in reality are just predicting the Nintendo equivalent of something that's been happening since the PS2/GameCube era). Absolutely nothing new is confirmed or speculated, the fact NL continue to "report" on this story is more than likely for the easy-to-copy-paste story about it.

My issue with this article isn't the person of subject at all (couldn't really care less to have an opinion on a singer, nor challenge anyone else's). My issue is just how stupid a subject this article is. All it amounts to is that a celebrity said the name of a Nintendo franchise once, and a reactionary article was born for some reason. There's no discussion, no fun little fact derived from it. It literally amounts to nothing.

NL also knew before writing this it was a trash article, clearly. No one puts a disclaimer at first publish if they don't expect people to react poorly to it. Poor showing by them for putting this up, ever worse for claiming abuse before posting.

Terrible take by NintendoLife. Game isn't exactly a forgotten feature (12.7 million copies is not "oft-forgotten"), it's considered by many to be the game that truly launched the 3DS into popularity (that and Mario Kart 3DS). Most discussions of 3D World include the fact it is a sequel to 3D Land, bringing it further attention. This site tends to push this whole "Wii U needs more attention, we barely gave it a look when it was there", as though somehow a Nintendo-based site would deliberately ignore the primary console. No need for the clickbait.

Imagine not implementing basic features into a game, because some people don't want to wishlist a buggy game.

Hades didn't release on any other console this year, its only released on PC and Swotch. Why are false facts a contribution to this ranking?

The Amazon UK link goes to Amazon.com instead, as there isn't an official Amazon UK listing for the item (just third-party). As a substitute, I think putting the Book Depository link (https://www.bookdepository.com/Super-Mario-Manga-Mania-Yukio-Sawada/9781974718481?ref=grid-view&qid=1607947739165&sr=1-1). Not only does it fulfil NL's requirement for putting as many Amazon-affiliate links (as BD is Amazon-owned), it actually ships world-wide too (and is the first link listed when loooking at the Amazon link).

Considering how shamelessly ye were promoting this game as "better than you think" (ie a very clear and thinly-veiled sponsored article), this falls in line with actual reviews. Shame ye sold your credibility initially, but looks like you finally saw what every reader could denounce from both the screenshots and the gameplay video: its a crap licensed game.

@Coach_A articles aren't typically written in the early hours of the morning, by a website that has its journalists located in the UK. Maybe take your bias elsewhere, it's not as if NL not immediately reporting on something makes the news unknown to the rest of the internet.

@backup368 because there's a possibility both own the franchise? I mean, only Mojang was added because Microsoft is already part of the copyright list (with Banjo-Kazooie's inclusion), similar to Personal (only Atlas was added because SEGA were already included) and it makes no difference if the list is re-ordered. There simultaneously crediting Mojang for the creation and Microsoft for owning it.

@StinkyHat Warrior games aren't typically suited for online play, so its not really that big of a loss. Not even Nintendo's choice regardless, its whatever KT developed as a system.

@Kalmaro played it on mobile, a standard Peggle clone with a cat aesthetic. It's not bad, but its certainly not worth $20. More than likely they're going to give a deep discount after launch to get the majority of their sales

Edit: mistook this game for another type. Its not correct to call it a Peggle clone, more correct to say a Breakout clone, where blocks have to be hit 1 or more times.

The price is definitely just so it can be discounted 90% to make it look like a deal and definitely not just wasting money on a F2P game.

Of course, immediately after he made the big claim, he takes it all back when it starts blowing up. Why @Liam_Doolan claims he has a "proven track record" is very clear; he either deletes evidence that he was wrong or does this, backtracking the answer he gave to hide the fact he doesn't know anything.

Screenshots in the listings clearly show that this is Sonic Mania Plus (Ray and Split-screen Versus are only available in the DLC), which rules out the idea that they are releasing carts with only the original Sonic Mania on them (which, considering the only print run of Sonic Mania is Plus, would involve them having to print new copies of the game that contain less, when this is clearly more a "sell the stock we have fast" scenario). Takes less than a minute to rationally break this down, but people would rather lose their heads by complaining about nothing.

How to be a Nintendo "leaker":

1. Say a Nintendo Direct is coming next week
2. Wait a week
3. Remove evidence of number 1
4. Repeat 1-3 until proven right
5. Call it a "perfect track record"
6. Wait a few weeks
7. Restart from 1

@Sinton The games revealed in the Indie World showcase that were released after the presentation all match their US sale.

There's only one game that doesn't match the sale discount across regions (Huntdown is 30% off in the US, 10% off in US) and technically Dead Cells is only on sale as part of the Bad Seed Bundle. Every other game on the list either matches or beats the discount (and, due to regional pricing, are in some cases cheaper to buy in EU than US).

I've compared the prices by using DekuDeals and the Nintendo page that lists the games specifically marked as being part of the sale. Quite simply, it's wrong to say the sale is "predominantly NA" (and the article has been updated to reflect that). You're probably looking at every game on sale instead, where there is a difference, considering this entire article is about the Indie World sale, not really applicable.

@Ogbert To actually add to this, all deals are matched between the regions (every deal in the US is available at the same discount in the EU). Makes little sense that Ryan made the comment, a simple boot-up of his own eShop would reveal that information.

@Sinton all the deals for the Indie World sale are also available in the EU, I don't see why the remark was made in the article.

@datamonkey why would it be? This is at best a generic "Mario in summer" render, anything read into it otherwise is just wrong.

Also Pokémon fans: What is with this? This isn't Diamond/Pearl remakes. This is something different that I don't want.

On top of everything else, Nintendo made it very clear about each version. The eShop page for each version tells you which version of the game the pass is for, and the order confirmation screen (the one prior to completing a purchase) explicitly says that this passs compatible with that version (e.g. Shield Pass works with Shield, if you want the DLC for Sword this pass won't work). Majority of the complaints that complained ot was "confusing" or "unclear" really have just revealed they spent less than the 30 seconds it would've taken to read the basic description before locking in their purchase.

Good to know the current status, annoying to learn that the Switch version (despite being assured it finally has feature-parity with the other versions) will again have a delay for an unknown length of time, without a good explanation.

And you can currently only back a potential Switch version by choosing the £25 tier. Hopefully this can be changed once the goal is met.

Curious to see if this is trying to say that the release date for the DLC is June 19th, which is what the release dates of these Mystery Gifts implies

Little note: you refer to FighterZ as an arena fighter, when it's a 2D fighter. Perhaps Xenoverse is what was intended, as that is an arena fighter at its core.

So basically, game was delayed behind the scenes and they didn't say anything about it, only to claim that everyone saying the original date is a liar, when they hadn't themselves updated anyone?

I'm more impressed with their prank that made it so anyone who completed the survey for the Physical tier of W101 got their reward delayed because they forgot to put in the option to select a platform.

@ShadJV except it came out after Gamechamp’s video, and Smallant1 consistently does his own version of other YouTuber’s challenge runs a few weeks after they were already done (and thus doesn’t have to do the majority of the research). Yeah, not a chance it wasn’t copied

Yet GameChamp3000 defeated the original Pokémon Red/Blue on one savefile, without resetting on getting hit (deleting the whole savefile instead), and that didn’t even get a mention throughout this article or even in Smallant’s video. I mean, you can steal an idea all you want, but knowingly leaving out the source? Little shady.
