Re: Want More Authentic Art? Just Evict Your Smug Villagers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

@fadedcolors And that’s all I’m saying! My complaint ISN’T exactly ‘not enough things to do’ it’s simply the lack of INTERACTIVE things to do. Cause obviously there is plenty things to do, I just think the series needs to kind of shake things up a bit more; I have a whole basketball court on my island that I can’t even use, a laptop in my bedroom that only turns on and off, tourist telescopes that do nothing, arcade machines in my basement that I can’t even interact with and etc. THOSE are in align to my complaints, and it’s not to say that AC isn’t a good game, I love AC, it’d just be nice if the series got shaken up a bit with some more razzle dazzle.

@ShadJV I’ve been playing AC since Population Growing, but your argument can also be a problem. Why rely on the, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ mechanic instead of adding new ideas to keep it fresh?... and that isn’t to discredit the newly introduced terraforming and crafting abilities, but again, those things aren’t interactive. I wanna do cool meaningful stuff and especially with friends in Animal Crossing. Why is it that since Population Growing, the primary focus is, complete museum, pay off debt, furnish house. Is there really NOTHING else they can think of???

@popishighbrow that still doesn’t change the list of interactivity to do in the game. Simply ‘collecting’ things doesn’t exactly equal fun all the time, especially having a character like Redd that only appears twice a month on average that sells fakes half the time, they could have AT LEAST made getting art more fun than what is. I guess my complaint isn’t necessarily ‘not enough things to do’ but more so the lack of interactivity the game has to offer; Furniture that does nothing other than look cool, friends’ islands I can visit that I can do no more than tour their island and check out shops, no other places to go besides mystery islands. There is definitely room for improvement for interactivity.

Already got all the art thanks to Nookazon and forum trading. I just wish there were more interactive things to do in Animal Crossing. After your island is ‘complete’, holding a 5 star rating and your house is paid off and fully furnished to your desire, there really isn’t too much to do afterwards... We need more things to do, ESPECIALLY in the online Multiplayer department.

Re: Random: Someone Made An amiibo For The Animal Crossing Villager Raymond

I brought up an idea on another post a time before that said, I feel like Nintendo should give us a social media app for the Nookphone in a future update. We could connect with the almost 400 villagers roster and possibly invite them to our campsites and eventually have them as our own villagers. This would not only be a neat interactive addition, but this could also be a way to combat amiibo scalpers.

I personally thought a fun idea would be for Nintendo to make a social media-like app for the Nookphone so that you could connect with all the characters and even invite some over to your island to live there. It’d be a great way to get some of the characters that you want and familiarize yourself with the almost 400 villagers roster.

I instead think they should work with the virtual console games they already have on Switch and just make it available on smartphones. I currently never even touch the virtual console games on Switch, but if these were made available on my smartphone, the story would change quick!

Edit: they could even capitalize on the idea by creating a Nintendo licensed Bluetooth game controller for it. (I currently use a Dualshock 4 to play games that are controller compatible on the iOS)

@jsty3105
Well, for the sake of your argument, I think your points are very shallow.

For one, Sonic/SEGA ain’t Mario/Nintendo now are they? And even still, although I don’t know any of the statistics, I can almost guarantee you SEGA’s mobile games have been profitable. I hate how you’re making it seem as if Nintendo would generate little to no money revenue from doing so.

And secondly, as I stated in my first post, Nintendo could easily make their own controller for mobile devices that could connect via Bluetooth.

I really don’t see a lose here and why naysayers beg to differ... Just thinking about it now, but, I think it would be pretty awesome if Nintendo made their Online VC content available via an app on mobile. That would actually give me a reason to care about it and would spark an interest in newcomers for sure!

Re: Android 10 Now Supports The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

@jsty3105 Nintendo has never released anything mainline for mobile so you can’t really disprove it. But with the success from Pokémon Go and the more recent release of Mario Kart Tour, this should point to all the reason Nintendo could and SHOULD produce mainline quality games for mobile, it could easily be their most profitable business venture yet... If possible, I challenge you to play Oceanhorn 2 or/and Shantae and the Seven Sirens for iOS (using a Dualshock 4) just to see if your opinion differs. Because I thought nothing about this until I played those games specifically, it gave me a new perspective.

Re: Android 10 Now Supports The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

After recently playing Oceanhorn 2 and Shantae and the Seven Sirens on the iOS using a PS4 controller, I couldn’t help but to think Nintendo has a HUGE opportunity to bring in some serious cash if they deaded making a 3DS-like predecessor and just brought their games to mobile instead.

EVERYONE has a mobile phone these days and they could easily make a unique controller of their own that specifically supports mobile devices. If a mainline Pokémon, Animal Crossing or Splatoon game hit mobile, they’d rake in billions no doubt about it!
