@Grumblevolcano Yeah, I thought I was buying a new Nintendo console but what I really got is a portable Wii U. What a disappointment...

I like that 2D approach a lot and the art style is fantastic, but I hope in the future they also create a full 3D experience. Dark Souls comes to my mind

sorry but this is wrong, the Game Boy Advance is still the best handheld because not only had an F-zero game, it had three!!! But also three Zelda and three Metroid games (counting the NES Classics). Sorry but this is UNBEATABLE!!!

As a fan of both games I would love to see a crossover. Demons invading AC islands and villagers ripping and tearing.

Today is F-zero's 30th anniversary so I will play some F-zero to celebrate it and remember that "The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long".

Anyway, this year I wasn't interested in anything that came out on the Switch after Animal Crossing, so I will visit my island to check the new update and kill the final boss in Link's Awakening. Also will turn on my Gamecube and do some time attack at F-zero GX and speedrun Super Monkey Ball.

Microsoft please release Super Monkey Ball Retro on the Switch 🙏🏻

I am not a fan of the western version because of the 3D logo. And I like the colours in the japanese version better, the western version in general looks less appealing to me. Anyway, I agree that the original F-zero is not the best one, but it's still super fun to play. I miss this franchise a lot...

I own all of them except "Super Mario Party". Maybe if it was called "Super F-zero Party" I would own it as well

I am too old for this. My brain glitch and explode by just thinking about it... but if I could buy a native version running on the hardware that can go "cloud mode" when I am on a fast enough wifi connection, then I might like it.

Japan's economy was so good in the 80s and 90s that companies could easily find funding for their ideas, even the most crazy ones. Anyway, I always believed that this would be F-zero's natural evolution but nowadays the franchise is dead... so sad.....

Cloud version? I would rather get a downgraded version than this. We need a switch pro soon, but those cloud games are a sign that it's not going to happen...

Nintendo has been abusing his fans lately, myself included. I wonder what they are going to do to get their trust back the next gen, with the Switch U or whatever they come up with.

@HeadPirate that brings me memories when the N64 came out and I could only see some super tiny Ocarina of Time and F-zero X pictures taken with a camera in front of a TV in a magazine. The picture quality was really bad. The next issue included a VHS with an N64 promo trailer that I watched thousands of times to see just a very few seconds of Ocarina of Time in motion. In the end the tape was so degraded that I could barely see anything hahhahaha

It's not perfect but I think it's an excellent game if you like mechas, Zone of the Enders or Armored Core. I will be back to it when the update hits for sure.

they know their user base will buy it anyway because they love the game, so they decide to abuse them with those micro-transactions. For me they can burn in hell slowly.

Considering that Mario Kart 8 DX is still selling a lot it could be that they decided to step the karts aside for a while and give F-zero a chance. I will keep my expectations extremely low anyway...

I have mixed feelings about this, in one side it's nice to see that Nintendo is getting ambitious with the Metroid series, but I am also afraid that they will make Metroid Prime 4 an FPS. I am more excited for the rumored Metroid 2D than this though...

The more I know about this the less I like this developer. Kickstarter should only be for tiny indie game developers with no resources. And meanwhile Kamiya blocks you and runs with your money...
