The man has a point, just because last years E3 was good and this one was disappointing doesn't mean that Nintendo owes them a damn a thing. Maybe he was apologizing for the disappointment to both the fanbase and himself for organizing a bad E3 but I think Reggie is legitimately right and what he said took balls but he wants us all to know that they always take suggestions, but they're not necessarily gonna apologize for not giving the fans what they want. I swear this is the year of entitlement. No one ever flipped out on all the years that Starfox or Metroid was never shown. If people who are mad think that they can change things, they are right, to some extent. I mean look at our outcry to Majoras Mask that finally got answered, as well as ORAS which was also highly anticipated. Nintendo even stated that if a serious Prime game were to be made, it would be made on the NX, meaning that a serious game could be in the cards. We just have to give it time and if you don't like what they have to offer than don't support it. That's all I have to say.
Dude this is like the exact same gameplay from Metroid Prime: Hunters, just because you fanboys didn't like the game doesn't mean that Nintendo could never make a game like it. Personally speaking I was surprised to see them do Blast Ball initially as a separate IP that was similar to Hunters. I thought it was a good change a pace to take an old form of gameplay that didn't work before and apply it now. The fact that Metroid is in the title is because its a spinoff, which means that the spirit of what made Metroid good will ultimately be included within the game. Even if no one like the chibiness than they just shouldn't buy it if they hate it that much, but don't try and shut it down because you don't like the label. Get with it or get out.
This game was nothing more than a glorified demo just like Steel Divers was. I feel that while this game had potential they lazily turned it into a score-based game with one single level rather than have a full fledged game with levels and possibly a story and such. This is bad that its actually 10 bucks because as a single level score based game it should be 2 bucks at the most. Like legit I know Nintendo has been known to cheap out on launch titles but seeing this small miniscule game as a $40 release is pathetic and seeing it be sold for 10 bucks is really unreasonable and shows just how willing they were to cash in on the Yoshi name but at the end of the day its still a game from the Yoshi series that's worth preserving but the potential for it was so lost that its merely a "meh" type of game that would have barely held off even most casual gamers back in the day. Warioware Touched! perfected this style of gameplay but this game would have potential as a sequel too if it were longer. Maybe I might pick it up on sale or even full price someday when I feel like playing it as Yoshi is still my favorite series of all time.
They wanted to troll Indie gaming and they clearly succeeded judging by how everyone is acting over this. I actually think that as stupid as this looks, its pretty genius. I understand why people are getting upset over why games like these and Flappy Bird clones are getting greenlit onto the eShop but this is the unfortunate reality of the industry, though honestly this looks worth trying out. I love memes and think that this is hilarious like you gotta admit they're doing it out of having spirit for the Internet.
Granted that Sonic on the 3DS is the 3D one I'll probably get that. Nothing else though, retail deals just aren't good enough. I can still get physical cheaper.
Its funny that they mentioned Magikarp since Tekken was originally going to have a fish that could do nothing but flop around when entered through a code though it was scrapped since the director didn't like the idea of someone paying money to an arcade machine to play as a character that did nothing.
Well I just downloaded it, I actually wanted to play this game for a whole after seeing the trailer but I was waiting for a discount but it looks like that Dev now has my 8 bucks.
Thanks RCMADIAX, buy your game shortly after it comes out, have yet to play it and there's already a 99 cent discount. Ahh its whatever I really felt like supporting the first HTML5 Indie Game Developer for the Wii U.
Well looks like the Fusion is quite a swell surprise though it has been done before in Crash Tag Team Racing, though I haven't played it yet. Arcades are pretty much dead around where I live so I doubt I'll ever play this like the other sequels. I played the original and it charged me 4 coins to continue the race in the cup even though I got 1st place. These games are amazing but they charge so much since its a strong license and that's the weakpoint to these arcade games.
Honestly I thin knock-offs can be pretty good. If these games come out once every couple of years than why wait all that time to play the sequel when a similar game is available when you get tired of the current one. While it is a blatant knockoff Nintendo has no right to sue unless they patented the Animal Crossing formula.
It makes sense to me. The crystal in Sableye's stomach comes out and shields him as he attacks thus becoming a tank. Before Fairy types were introduced, Dark/Ghost type Pokemon had no weaknesses but this type combination was limited to the weak NU-doomed Sableye and the subpar Spiritomb who was known for being incredibly difficult to get initially. I think with a defensive tankish Sableye it will prove to be a valuable mega evolution since its only weakness is the somewhat rare Fairy type.
The fact that Diancie gets a Mega Evolution before a 5th gen Pokemon can baffles me. Seriously we could have had Mega Hydregion or Mega Scraggy. Mega Mienshao with dual typing would kick ass as well.
Battle Revolution Online would have been cool if they banned legendaries. Doesn;t matter because that Electivire can still take them all down in one hit.
Pink Gold Peach??? I mean c'mon seriously that's obviously a copout for having a female version of Metal Mario for feministic reasons. I understand that there is going to be Gold Mario in World Tour but what is this supposed to be a pink tinted version of Gold Peach that there never was? There was actually a Metal Peach who appeared in the Super Smash Bros. and Mario Party series. Plus I really don't see why they couldn't have had all the old characters back which were clearly some fan favorite. I always played as Dry Bones in Wii and Bowser Jr. was pretty cool along with other franchise staples like Diddy Kong.
I got the Ouya, its not that abd its just that devs really have to work hard to get out decent quality titles. It can't be one or two man teams there needs to be full on development in order to push the specs to its limits.
Part of the reason why this game was so attractive was due to this game being an FPS on the 3DS as an exclusive. Having every console and their mother's have this game kinda kills the vibe that this was going to be a 3DS game with a lot of effort put into it making it a decent, never before seen experience on a handheld.
I bought Super Monkey Ball 3D when the 3DS launched. It was good but nowhere near the price of $40 so now at $20 its a good time to buy it if your into the series. Probably the only Super Monkey Ball game where going to get for a loooooong time.
Well to be fair inFamous spun off from an idea like Animal Crossing so its great that they're showing some love and probably adding hype and PR sicne they had just announced that AC inspired the series.
Actually thats not quite completely true. You said that they are running in "DS Mode" I'll admit that when I had someone hack my DS Lite I asked if it could play GBA emulators. He told me that the DS hardware itself isn't powerful enough to emulate GBA games on its own, that's why it needs the cartridges, because its not strong enough for the ROM by itself to play. So saying that the Ambassador games are in "DS Mode" is a false statement. The reality is that Nintendo never planned out Miiverse functionality at that point(remember this was like two years before the Wii U was released) so rather than them being lazy they were going by standard VC protocol at the time which are essentially the uncut games that only allowed single player. The thing is Nintendo could change that if they wanted to. Or they could hire/contract someone talented enough to do so.
Did I ever say I DIDN'T want new games for my Wii U? No I said that I have a Wii U and a 3DS and I'm defending the 3DS only people who are pissed because handheld VC games aren't coming to Nintendo's handheld. I don't even care if Nintendo never promised Gamecube games either, we know they can do them so they should give them to us. We're asking to throw our money at them and do they listen? Do they EVER listen? No. They're not obligated to listen to us but not listening to us, the fans, is very stupid on their part. Ultimately we're the ones at this point who decide as to whether or not they make a profit. Basically saying "people should go out and spend $300 on a Wii U to play Advance Wars is absurd. Generally speaking a lot of consoles can play emulators if you hack them. You don't even need to hack a console to play emulators I can download one on my PC right now. We're doing THEM a favor by buying their old content some of which is well over 20 years old. That's what your not getting is that its not about what Nintendo wants, its about what we, the consumers, want. That's how the gaming industry works nowadays that's why we used to have so many 3D platforming knockoffs, now its evolved to FPS CoD knockoffs. Its like Christ, why are you even getting all upset and butthurt over a stupid internet debate. Don't be that guy. Trust me.

They sold Rareware because they were jealous that they designed better games than they did. They made the Wii which when hacked was found about to be more of a media device than it was sold as, it could play DVD's in HD, could stream music, could do all these amazing things that would have greatly worked out and make it a must have towards its own demographic, which is the average person but they hid it all away for whatever reason and never once decided to capitalized on making an HD system with better online capabilities for the hardcore gamer but didn't. Do we DESERVE that awesome version of the console? No. But imagine how good it would have done to Nintendo to do those tasks like keep Rareware an exclusive, turn the original Wii into a multi-media box, make an HD Wii with better free online play? It would have been freaking amazing wouldn't it? What if Nintendo franchised all their games and came out with yearly editions? That would be great too? But no they won't do it and the fact that WAY more people have a 3DS than Wii U and some of their best games to date have been GBA games you'd think that they would give 3DS gamers the option to download their favorite titles in case you know they don't want to invest in a Wii U with less than really 5 good games like the rest of us suckers?
