Re: FEZ Creator Insists The Game Wouldn't Work On The 3DS

Blue_Yoshi

A true developer would have MADE it work on the 3DS! Seriously like legit you want as big of an audience as possible and the 3DS has a big audience. I'm learning about video game development in college right now and with Fez and its unique concept, it would definitely have a huge fanbase on the 3DS.

Re: Special Edition Pikachu 3DS XL Shows Up In North American Commercial

Blue_Yoshi

@AyeHaley Yeah I plan on being an MtF but unfortunately my friends and family are greatly opposed to the idea and to some extent I am as well because it is a tough, irreversible decision.
Anyway on topic as well; I noticed Pikachu's nipples as well. Personally I think it would have been much better if they flipped the design and had the cameras be hidden in the tips of his ears.

Re: Special Edition Pikachu 3DS XL Shows Up In North American Commercial

Blue_Yoshi

@SteveSnowmn Yeah I'm excited for the release too and I knew the Pikachu would definitely come out if I waited long enough. Wish I could have Charizard but I can't risk losing this deal to wait for one that might not come through. I almost caved in and bought pink too as its Lite Pink which is one of my favorite colors and I've been recently contemplating on getting a sex change. And yes that last bit was actually true ;P

Re: EA: Excited About New Generation Which Is "Yet to Come"

Blue_Yoshi

@Kirk well if you look at infographs it will clearly show you that the PSX had way more processing power than the N64. As for GC, it was the most powerful system at the time or at least had the best framerate. Technically speaking the PS2 was the worse system and the GC was said to be a little more powerful than the Xbox. Just look at launch title like Super Smash Bros. Melee that clearly show detail in Mario's overalls, or the Dinosaurlike figure and movement in Yoshi(which they removed from Brawl much to my Dinosaur fanboy dismay.)

Re: EA: Excited About New Generation Which Is "Yet to Come"

Blue_Yoshi

It always seems like no matter what, Nintendo is always a step back ever since they moved on from the NES. Super Nintendo was inferior to Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64 had lesser power compared to PSX, at least the Gamecube was technically the best out of all 3 systems but with the Wii they failed to follow up with HD. Now the Wii U is better than 360/PS3 but its simply gonna be blown away when PS4/720 come out. However one thing thats been keeping Nintendo alive all these years is that there titles have a magical feel to them compared to that of Disney with their movies. Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon will make sure that Nintendo will never die.

Re: Puddle Given Release Date In North America

Blue_Yoshi

Hah I cant wait been waiting for this since I first got the Wii U. Looks pretty beautiful though I heard the gyro controls were disappointing though I'm still set on getting it but I heard its particularly hard to beat.

Re: Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign Schedule Released

Blue_Yoshi

Kirby's Adventure? Really? Ok I played Nightmare in Dreamland as a kid that was pretty much a decade ago. Than ya release the 3D Remake for Classics which is once again understandble seeing as it been's long since you last released it. Im pretty sure you released it on the Wii VC before that which is also expected but ya also released it with the Kirby Anniversary addition which contains Adventure and pactically all the VC titles. Than ya release it again as a filler when you could have done something completely better like say Star Fox which would have ultimately reeled in a lot of players. Also, whats up with Nintendo doing these limited time deals? Like shouldnt ALL Virtual Console games be released for 30 cents? Especially considering we can obtain them for "free" by other means.

Re: Broken Rules "Had Higher Hopes" For Chasing Aurora

Blue_Yoshi

I bought the game during the Christmas sale, partly because of my love of animals and Nights Into Dreams, but seriously what do you expect for a stale game at $15? Maybe if it had online multiplayer and/or an actual story and long single player campaign it would have been worth it but truthfully the game should have been $5 and would have been a first purchase for every Wii U owner due to how cheap the game was. Its the same effect with My Little Inferno, you cant ask for 1/4th of a price of a retail game with stale experiences that dont translate into worthwhile games. Once again at $5 people would gobble that ish up but for $15 they could buy multiple, better, funner games.

Re: Goodbye Galaxy Games Responds To Renegade Kid's Piracy Claims

Blue_Yoshi

Okay, so ya see its not that developers blame EVERY bad sale on piracy but they have to send the message out that its wrong and that there will be consequences if it continues. While it is true that most people who pirate games would not have paid for it in the first place, that does not mean there entitled to play it. Being poor is no excuse for stealing. If you weren't gonna pay for it than don't play it, simple as that. All arguments in favor of piracy are wrong and/or ignorant. Saying that people try the game before they buy it is a horrible statement. That's what we have demo's for, reviews, trailers, screenshots, everything you could possibly need to determine a sale. Also saying that people will feel bad and pay for it as well is also a horrible argument. If spend hours of your life slavering away at cookies and give them away for free to the masses and say you have the "option" of paying for them if you want is a bad deal. Sure some people will giving you money but 99.97% wont and never interact with you ever again. Saying publishers are greedy isn't fair either because it takes millions to publish a game, the publisher makes sure they make their profit BEFORE the developer and give them the rest, whether THEY make a profit or not the publisher comes first. Their not greedy, making video games is a business and their making sure that their business comes first before the developer because they have to support potentially hundreds to thousands of other developers. Saying that used games also hurts developers is pointless because your still buying and supporting something whether it be Gamestop or a local shop. Believe me developers are slowly transitioning into a digital only future where they dont have to worrying about all that stuff. Any other reason is pointless and you'll only be lying to myself, heck I have one friend who claims he pirates Wii games because they don't make the graphics look like classic N64 games anymore which is just ridiculous and nonsensical. The last and possibly biggest argument is that ITS NOT FAIR TO THE CONSUMER. Why should people like me spend my hard earned money on new video games while my friends who don't have jobs and spend their time doing unproductive things get them for free? Are you making fun of us? Calling us suckers? Throwing us under the bus because your saying where the ones who have to pay money because where stupid and we have a conscious and your smart and clearly have no morals to something as artistic as video games? CD's and DVD's piracy don't matter as much as video games because not only are they cheap to make, there back up and supported by filthy rich musicians and actors and the even richer industries behind them and have support from the TV and radio. Video games are supports by publishers constantly losing profit and developers constantly losing even more profit and having to lay off workers and even shut down their studios. People who work in the video game industry have to work stressful 80 hours weeks and have a low salary their lives depend on people buying their games and when they don't they cant pay their mortgage and lose their homes and can't feed their children. Plus all this piracy is forcing measures that no matter how drastic, still hurt ONLY the paying customers. So yeah piracy needs to instantly be taken out and what better way of doing that than blaming it on the reason games don't sell and there not made or have to include less content. I myself am about to quit console gaming altogether because of piracy, HOWEVER I will always stay faithful to Nintendo and it will be the only console I support this generation. I have a 3DS as well and a Vita so any console games I want for PS4/720 I can probably buy on that due to cross-play.

Re: Ex-Rare Staff Talk Nintendo, Microsoft and Where It All Changed

Blue_Yoshi

Rare sucks now they've surrendered to the casual market. They had a chance with actual sequels for Banjo and Conker but they ruined those with a vehicular based game and a censored port. They really screwed themselves up and should continue to develop games for Nintendo for the 3DS at least. They were supposed to make two game for the DS but only came out with one in the end. Rareware is dead and will never be the same again.

Re: Nintendo Wants to Keep Old Titles Fresh with DLC

Blue_Yoshi

Just cuz a game is old doesnt mean no one can talk about it again. As a matter of fact whenever me or say another friend buy a game that our friends have already swept through we like to talk about it and give a recap of what happened and all the moments we loved about it so much. Hell even if none of us get the game we still love to reminisce on what used to be. Video Games will never get old, lets face it, there the new comic books and all of them shall be remembered as long as there good.

Re: Kirby's Block Ball

Blue_Yoshi

Love this game, Breakout is always a fun concept and adding four ways makes it better. If only Nintendo was smart enough to release it in the west than I would have boughten by now =/

Re: Iwata Unsure if Nintendo Will Sell Wii U At a Loss

Blue_Yoshi

In order for the Wii U to succeed it has to have strong titles and strong exclusives as well. The online service cant be gimmicky or expensive like the Wii VC and they are investing in DLC which is always a good thing. Imagine all the Zelda DLC they can release? So much potential.

Re: Kid Icarus, Kirby Getting 3D Classics Makeovers

Blue_Yoshi

I hope the Kid Icarus remake have a better save feature, I could barely get through the emulated version on the VC. Kirbys Adventure will be interesting as its essentially a crappy Nightmare in Dreamland but I never played the original so I cant wait.

Re: Review: DotMan (DSiWare)

Blue_Yoshi

This game seemed kinda fun at first but this review makes me realized how bad the game actually is. The siren rly goes on if you dont beat the level fast enough nd the high score is pretty much bullsh*t, this aint even a worthy Pac-Man clone but I gotta admit, for 2 bucks its better than Pac-Man GB which is four and absolutely terrible not to mention was released after he already got a 3DS outing which I have already.

Re: Feature: Luigi's Mansion 10th Anniversary

Blue_Yoshi

What turned ppl off of Luigi's Mansion 1 is that the game was too easy. You could literally beat it in 3 hours. The original concept however was much darker and scarier and stressing. Luigi had to save Mario within 24 hours of gametime. The game over screen looked mad creepy too. That concept moved over to Pikmin and proved to be a huge turn off but they fixed that in Pikmin 2.
