I've been button mashing my way through Bayonetta 2. The upcoming Switch release reminded me of unfinished business. So many halos are needed for the alternate outfits I doubt I will be wearing any...
@Shambo Yes, I had the chance to try out PacManVs in Namco Museum on TWO Switches recently and not having the tangle seemed to make it feel less urgent and chaotic! Agree that I always felt it should have come to WiiU as it would have worked a dream on that format.
I have always struggled a bit with Ridge Racer, possibly because I never played it on PS. I found Ridge Racer DS very hard to control, but the 3DS game seemed better in that respect. Actually really liked the Gamecube ?R-Racing game that I bought just to get PacManVS and got more mileage out of it.
@BulbasaurusRex whispers I really quite liked Other M. The gameplay was pretty good and I thought the cinematics were polished. It's a shame it will never get a follow up in that style. runs for cover
So glad these are available. A little variation in pricing would be welcome I think. A sale would certainly loosen my purse-strings on a few of these titles.
Sounds great. I have enjoyed what I have played of Strikers:1945, but this sounds really intriguing in terms of visuals and controls. I should be all over this...
@Shiryu @TMJ Here's hoping that LoZ:BotW has boosted Nintendo's confidence in taking risks with it's best loved series. It's been a long time since MP3:Corruption and styles of gaming have changed in so many ways.
@Shiryu Yes, that. I was always a bit disappointed MP3 didn't follow that template. Breath of the Wild was a radical re-interpretation of Zelda - wouldn't it be wonderful if the Metroid Prime universe was given a similarly huge overhaul?
Well that's a shame, but most people could survive without it. I'd be surprised if it never arrived. Netflix on WiiU has been tremendously important for our kids.
I know there's a fondness for physical media in this community, but many Switch users must be buying digitally. I feel that those tiny game cards are not all that comfortable to swap and store. I worry about the kids losing them. Also, with DOOM given the price point I expect the sales figures for the South African eShop to be unexpectedly buoyant...
@Bunkerneath Gosh, I owned an Acorn Archimedes but I'm not sure I knew that Doom was released for it - looks like it was a late port (?1998) and so I was probably long ago moved onto Quake on a PC...
Still sorry that Rondo of Blood hasn't made it to the Wii U VC- I really need those restore points to progress in this style of game. The Wii VC version wipes the floor with me!
Erm, why is this not working for me? Got the correct update, official adaptor plugged into the dock, wired pro control on... no responses from my wavebird, wired GC controller or (rubbish) 3rd party GC controller.
I understand why there is no official means of adding more games - these are designed as low cost purchases, and an eShop service would have added unnecessarily to costs.
It's nice that further games may be added as the list of games has some omissions. However, in reality I don't think I will need to do this - it would be much more helpful if some wizard could find a way of adding more time to my life as I don't really have the spare time for all these games.
Finally got this. Absolutely loving it. I've been imagining a 2.5D Metroid with stereoscopic 3D from the moment I first held a 3DS. So far this game delivers on that promise. I'm amazed it took so long to come to fruition.
Last time I played DOOM was DOOM III on PC. I found it far too intense - all that running around with a torch. Glad this sounds more akin to the original game I enjoyed back in the 90's. My body is ready.
@Shiryu I agree it would be great to have Rockstar support the Switch. I got terribly stuck trying to steal cars against the clock in Chinatown Wars. Never going to be a master criminal I'm afraid...
Good news, but I suspect sales on the other consoles are smaller because there is greater competition from bigger budget "AAA" releases which currently the Switch does not get.
I got Binding of Isaac a couple of months back by "importing" from the US eShop. I think it worked out a little cheaper than this price if memory serves. Just wish I had more time to play it...
@blaisedinsd Ah. I might have played more of Nano Assault if I could have played my copy on the Circle Pad Pro. Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater is also worth giving a shout out for as a good game for the CPP - I've stalled at the last Boss, should give it a try again soon...
I enjoyed the first game on 3DS - partnered with the carbuncle-like Circle Pad Pro it felt surprisingly close to a home console game on the go. Say what you like about how the CPP looks, it was actually very comfortable to use and I prefer the ZL/ZR button placement to the New 3DS XL. I could be tempted to play the 2nd game on Switch for sure.
A shame these are coming a couple of years too late - would have filled the game droughts a little. I particularly would have liked to have upgraded Lords of Thunder to misuse the restore points as I found it fun but too challenging for my inner casual gamer...
The SEGA discounts are always worth looking at. Great versions of all these games. I'm actually excited by Soldier Blade on WiiU. I have it on Wii, but restore point abuse might mean I can play it to the end after all these years!

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Shovel Knight Treasure Trove on 3DS... got myself a cheap amiibo and thought I would try it out. But it is tricky...
Re: Nintendo Download: 15th February (Europe)
@darthstuey Yes, thanks - I went for Golf Story for £10 in the end. I'm finding it really charming so far. 😁
Re: Nintendo Download: 15th February (Europe)
@MuteOtus ...although maybe I should follow your Owlboy recommendation!
Re: Nintendo Download: 15th February (Europe)
Limited gaming time: do I buy Golf Story on sale today, or Owlboy, or Stardew Valley, or Night In The Woods?
Re: Guide: Bayonetta 2 Hidden Verses - How To Find Them In Every Single Chapter

@brianvgplayer Yes, Gunbird is on the UK store, will have to decide which I try first 😁
