@BionicDodo Played snipper clippers recently with my wife. Meant to be a fun co op experience. Surprised we didn't divorce! Streets of Rage 4 could be interesting!
@technotreegrass I've got to the point where I've actually started to go back and play burnout games on GameCube and PS2. Also PS2 Outrun 2. Remember playing the hell out the arcade version of Outrun 2 when on holiday in Spain with my old house mate in 2004. Possibly the best part of that holiday, disaster and a half but that's another story. 😆
That sound... Can you hear it?... It's my soul being crushed with the disappointment of this being crap. I need a Daytona, outrun, ridge racer, f-zero or burnout in my life. Not a fan of driving sims but love a good arcade racer.
@wazlon don't go mad with the Cif. About a pea sized amount per drum. Got 2 sets and both looked a bit manky. Have come up really well. Me and my son played donkey Konga today. So much fun. Tried the Cif technique on official house of the dead overkill gun as well, went the same colour as Bongos (non smoking house so just time hasn't been good to them) and again worked a treat. Next up is official white GameCube controllers with extra long leads they made for Wii. It's just the lead that's started to change colour. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mQg4g7N5eWRAJURQA
Brushing off my Bongos for some Donkey Konga fun. Little tip. If your Bongos haven't been used for a while (I am married) and are a little off colour, little bit of Cif and a damp cloth will bring them up lovely. No one likes a dirty bongo.
I'm hoping for a direct next week as I'm on annual leave for my son's half term. Lots of beer would be drank during it if it happens. I can but hope. Knowing my luck though it will be the day I return to work... Have only ever missed one direct and that was due to the exact thing.
@clvr I got my copy as a present from my then girlfriend (now long suffering wife) for my 26th birthday... Showing my age 😄 She had to put an order in at gamestation, same issue you had that no one was aware of it's existence.
@Grumblevolcano I purchased an e-card reader and also Warioware Twisted from a little import shop when I lived in Sheffield. Loved both but lent them to a friend who "lost" them.
@gaga64 Nice one. Might have to look that up. Know it's going down the realms of eye patch wearing and rum drinking (the rum is a plus side) but if it's the only way for me to play might have to. Wonder if there is a way to use the original as seen it nicely priced on eBay. Something for me to research. I'm actually a fan of some of the spin off games Nintendo have done. Super Princess Peach is a prime example as well.
Tingles Baloon Trip of Love... maybe bundled with Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland (Even though that got a western release and its sat in my zelda collection.) Think Im one of the few Tingle fans. Maybe its because he is a sad, little middle aged man I can relate with him...
I got a free loader disc and animal crossing USA import for my gamecube. Thats the day I became and addict... Hi Im Beermonkey and I have an animal crossing problem... Wild world was what kept me and my wife from loosing the plot when our plane was delayed back from spain on our first holiday together.
@PiXeLSteF I sometimes think that people forget about the great catalogue of games EA have. Or have EA forgotten about the great catalogue of games they have?
Some great arcade games in its catalogue that would go down a storm updated or just released digitally on all platforms. Plus update older IPs. It's not rocket science. People desperate for Alien isolation sequel as well...
I'm really hoping the direct isn't going to be full of ports. Nothing against them and so many games I would happily have (please bioshock be true) but I'm wanting some nice original game goodness. They just need to get the direct out so it doesn't get major over hyped/spoiled by leaks. Or that's possibly too late...
Just release a DLC pack for Mario Kart to make it Mario Kart Ultimate with all tracks. An option for the character specific weapons from double dash. That would keep me going for awhile.
Have always said that the 2 IPs Nintendo have that would benefit from DLC so much is Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.
E3 is my favorite time of year. I set alarms for presentations. Watch directs. Enjoy treehouse events. Drink beer. My wife thinks I'm nuts getting up at silly o'clock in the morning (UK) but I've come to just really enjoy it as an annual routine. I message friends during as well. I hate spoilers pre E3 so go on media lock down before. Love the guys over at Easy Allies for betting specials and reactions. My fear this year is the "Tailoring to influencers and YouTubers" quote given last year. It gave me chills. As long as Nintendo give us directs I've at least got that...
Both Galaxy games really need to be switch bound. I have them already but the amount of people it would open it up to. I once got into a heated debate with a member of CEX because the ad they had for hiring staff said something along the lines of if you think the Wii is for gamers please don't apply. The Galaxy Games and multiple other titles were my proof of otherwise. The Wii had a solid collection of games for hardcore gamers they just needed to be bothered to look!
I haven't used them since they dropped the £1 beat CEX trade in. Always preferred Gamestation as at least the staff at those places knew what they were doing. The amount of time I've known more than the assistant at GAME is scary. Plus the manager at my local one is a bit of a knob.
I have way too many consoles with games that I don't have time to pay. New Year and am honestly thinking of having a sort out. Going to replace my One X with a series X (have so many games on it and ultimate till Dec 2022) but can see me happy with that and a switch. My Wii U might stay as good for VC, Wii U and Wii. My heart says keep the rest but it's a waste. Even my Teenage mutant hero turtles edition NES should be enjoyed by someone who has the time. I hate growing up!
My launch joy cons having no issues. I did send back not long after launch for wireless disconnect issue. My mother in law's though have had both sticks replaced by myself because of drift. Luck of the draw really. At least it's an easy and cheap fix if needed.
GTA V Xbox one £8 as sold physical copy. Got given £5 to spend by Microsoft so dipped into bioware collection (I paid £8 for dragon age and mass effect deluxe editions.) Oh and got a stinking cold followed by offer of new job on the Monday. Eventful weekend by all accounts...
@m8e3point1415 Will put my hand up and say I'm Xbox and Nintendo. Sold my PS4 as I didn't use it. Got fed up of waiting for Last Of Us 2 and wasn't as hyped as much as everyone else about Spiderman (the last game I bought before I sold it.) I use my One X on regular basis in performance mode on games and have game pass till December 2022. The console I use the most is the switch due to pure fun and convenience. I am however looking forward to what Sony and Microsoft have in store for next gen. Microsoft have made some good studio purchases and if Sony can deliver on PS5 it's going to be great for everyone... Apart from my wallet...
Any article that has monkey Island mentioned is great. My first true gaming love. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed games before but that just made me fall in love with gaming. I still love point and click games to this day because of it. The special editions would be lovely on switch.
Bought my son a pristine 2ds second hand for Christmas stocking filler this year for an amazing £15. He has just started to show an interest in gaming so perfect place to begin. If he gets on with that will get him a switch lite next year.
Best horror game going... In a horrific awful pile of poo kind of way... it will give you nightmares and a feeling of dread, that you actually bought it! Don't buy it. Better games out there and save your money for alien isolation (if its a good port.)
@CairiB Fable 2 for me is still one of my favourite games I put hours into. Bioshock is another one I enjoy way too much. Have it on Xbox 360, Xbox one, PS3 and steam. Sadly I would love it on the switch. Think games like dead space and mass effect would be amazing as well but EA are useless. Would love red dead redemption rumours that have been floating around to be true. Don't get me wrong, bring on the new IP but good ports of classics would make a killing with people who never got chance to play them or people like me who are just completests (or plain stupid I'm not sure...)
Going to throw this out there. People are branding the switch a port machine. I honestly don't have an issue with ports and quite enjoy playing some games I never got round to or just enjoyed so much first time. So with this in mind what ports would you guys like to see on the switch. My top 5 in no real order. 1) Handsome Jack collection 2) Bioshock collection 3) Batman Arkham asylum or City 4) Burnout Paradise 5) Fable collection (come on Microsoft you know it makes sense)
Nintendo need to get the 64gb cards out and try and get costs down for publishers. Frustrates me when the whole game doesn't come on the cart. Was a real issue before I got a couple of 256gb SD cards.

This is amazing. Shame adulthood has stripped me of game playing friends... I will tackle this by myself or with my wife.

@datamonkey Just a quick Google and sold on by same studio that brought you Flatout. Thanks for heads up. Might hunt down an Xbox copy.

Pokémon TV series also had kids having seizures. The Simpsons even had a joke about it in one of their episodes.
