Re: Review: Speedway Racing - Daytona USA Has Nothing To Worry About

Beermonkey

@technotreegrass I've got to the point where I've actually started to go back and play burnout games on GameCube and PS2. Also PS2 Outrun 2. Remember playing the hell out the arcade version of Outrun 2 when on holiday in Spain with my old house mate in 2004. Possibly the best part of that holiday, disaster and a half but that's another story. 😆

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 22nd)

@wazlon don't go mad with the Cif. About a pea sized amount per drum. Got 2 sets and both looked a bit manky. Have come up really well. Me and my son played donkey Konga today. So much fun. Tried the Cif technique on official house of the dead overkill gun as well, went the same colour as Bongos (non smoking house so just time hasn't been good to them) and again worked a treat. Next up is official white GameCube controllers with extra long leads they made for Wii. It's just the lead that's started to change colour.

Re: Feature: 10 Nintendo Games We'd Love To See Finally Come To The West

Beermonkey

@gaga64 Nice one. Might have to look that up. Know it's going down the realms of eye patch wearing and rum drinking (the rum is a plus side) but if it's the only way for me to play might have to. Wonder if there is a way to use the original as seen it nicely priced on eBay. Something for me to research. I'm actually a fan of some of the spin off games Nintendo have done. Super Princess Peach is a prime example as well.

Update: Yes get in... Link on this very site. Going to hit eBay in a bit. Thanks for heads up. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/01/random_you_can_now_play_ripened_tingles_balloon_trip_of_love_in_english

Re: Poll: Is E3 Still Relevant To Nintendo In 2020?

Beermonkey

E3 is my favorite time of year. I set alarms for presentations. Watch directs. Enjoy treehouse events. Drink beer. My wife thinks I'm nuts getting up at silly o'clock in the morning (UK) but I've come to just really enjoy it as an annual routine. I message friends during as well. I hate spoilers pre E3 so go on media lock down before. Love the guys over at Easy Allies for betting specials and reactions.
My fear this year is the "Tailoring to influencers and YouTubers" quote given last year. It gave me chills. As long as Nintendo give us directs I've at least got that...

Re: Feature: Game Of The Decade Staff Picks - Super Mario Galaxy 2

Beermonkey

Both Galaxy games really need to be switch bound. I have them already but the amount of people it would open it up to. I once got into a heated debate with a member of CEX because the ad they had for hiring staff said something along the lines of if you think the Wii is for gamers please don't apply. The Galaxy Games and multiple other titles were my proof of otherwise. The Wii had a solid collection of games for hardcore gamers they just needed to be bothered to look!

Re: More Than 40% Of Switch Owners In The US Have Another Video Game System

Beermonkey

I have way too many consoles with games that I don't have time to pay. New Year and am honestly thinking of having a sort out. Going to replace my One X with a series X (have so many games on it and ultimate till Dec 2022) but can see me happy with that and a switch. My Wii U might stay as good for VC, Wii U and Wii. My heart says keep the rest but it's a waste. Even my Teenage mutant hero turtles edition NES should be enjoyed by someone who has the time. I hate growing up!

Re: Minecraft On Switch Becomes Xbox Game Studios' First Game In Japan To Reach One Million Physical Sales

Beermonkey

@m8e3point1415 Will put my hand up and say I'm Xbox and Nintendo. Sold my PS4 as I didn't use it. Got fed up of waiting for Last Of Us 2 and wasn't as hyped as much as everyone else about Spiderman (the last game I bought before I sold it.) I use my One X on regular basis in performance mode on games and have game pass till December 2022. The console I use the most is the switch due to pure fun and convenience. I am however looking forward to what Sony and Microsoft have in store for next gen. Microsoft have made some good studio purchases and if Sony can deliver on PS5 it's going to be great for everyone... Apart from my wallet...

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Verdict On The Witcher 3 On Switch

Beermonkey

@CairiB Fable 2 for me is still one of my favourite games I put hours into. Bioshock is another one I enjoy way too much. Have it on Xbox 360, Xbox one, PS3 and steam. Sadly I would love it on the switch. Think games like dead space and mass effect would be amazing as well but EA are useless. Would love red dead redemption rumours that have been floating around to be true. Don't get me wrong, bring on the new IP but good ports of classics would make a killing with people who never got chance to play them or people like me who are just completests (or plain stupid I'm not sure...)

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Verdict On The Witcher 3 On Switch

Beermonkey

Going to throw this out there. People are branding the switch a port machine. I honestly don't have an issue with ports and quite enjoy playing some games I never got round to or just enjoyed so much first time. So with this in mind what ports would you guys like to see on the switch. My top 5 in no real order.
1) Handsome Jack collection
2) Bioshock collection
3) Batman Arkham asylum or City
4) Burnout Paradise
5) Fable collection (come on Microsoft you know it makes sense)

Re: Feature: "Nintendo Killed My Son!" - Pulling Apart A Tragic Headline More Than Two Decades On

Pokémon TV series also had kids having seizures. The Simpsons even had a joke about it in one of their episodes. Although we might scoff at the paper article now at the time there wasn't much known about epilepsy. We know a lot more now a days but still doesn't stop people ignoring the advice given. Have a friend who has absences during playing games but continues to play them anyway.
