Re: Frustrated Fan Makes My Nintendo Physical Reward Stock Checker

Zelda collection, Mario and luigi's mansion diorama's, Zelda sound tracks, Mario kart pin badges and game and watch collection for DS. Had some lovely swag from the stars catalogue in the day (I'm in the UK before anyone says we never got good stuff.)
Quick edit as well. Professor Layton box to put the first 3 games in was another nice freebie.

Re: Square Enix Launches Permanent Work-From-Home Program Next Month

I had to work from home last week due to waiting for my son's Covid test to come back. 2 days of trying to make calls to people with my son shouting "I need a poo!" Emitting from down stairs. One lovely lady I spoke to in regards to my laptop program going t*ts up was also at home with her son with LD who kept telling her how much he loved her while she was trying to talk me through a software recovery. She kept apologising but I found it really sweet. Strange times people. It works for a lot of people but my job is so much better with other people to help/bounce information off with.

Can see the arguments for not upgrading. I however ducked out early of the last gen and sold my One X for £320 before pricing was revealed for series X and the second hand market prices started to plummet. Only had to find an extra £130. Sold so much stuff for other reasons but was able to top up and order my series X. Just finished work to come home to my new console. Happy days.

Selling so much of my retro stuff it's heart breaking. Had massive run of bad luck this year and parting with it all. Have sold a load privately as well. Have pre ordered a Series X but the rest going on new car, replacement switch for my son, stuff we lost in car fire, new washing machine, fixing the boiler... Ever increasing list of ***** really. At least my little family are healthy and I'm employed.

Re: Poll: How Do You Feel About 'Limited-Time' Games From Nintendo?

Beermonkey

Nintendo have been the kings of selling us things over and over. But they have in the past been great in regards to backwards compatibility. Super Gameboy, Cube GBA player, Wii playing cube, Wii U playing Wii, GB in GBA, GBA in ds and ds in 3ds. I had all my digital Wii stuff transfer over to my Wii U. Digital stuff they have been well behind the times though. I got the 4 swords game for free and transferred over to my 3ds. I have the ambassador games still on my 3ds as well. Also got the Zelda GameCube collection as well as game and watch ds game from stars catalogue. Nintendo have been doing this limited stuff for ages and I bite every time...

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Reportedly Asking Switch Developers To Make Their Games 4K-Ready

@sportvater Thanks. We were safe and thankfully no one injured. It was our car that set fire. Like most long day trips me and my son prepared ourselves with our switches. We had parked up for half an hour for him to stretch his legs and us grab a coffee. On returning to car my wife smelt burning. Some flames were coming from bonnet. While on my phone to emergency services the car had completely gone up taking out 2 other cars and damaging a third. We lost a hell of a lot of money's worth of stuff we are not covered for BUT no one was injured and we more upset for the other people (some people who were stopping half way to a holiday and 100miles from home and a heavily pregnant lady the other side.) His switch and my one couldn't be seen in the wreckage. Did find the carry case for my son's by the car after but carts had been too damaged and switch had been taken out and put in glove box before we left car.
Stressful times but we are safe and my recent retro console sales will pay for my son's new switch. I can just borrow his when he goes to bed.

Re: Watch: Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase July 2020

@sanderev I'm not knocking Nintendo. They have done remarkable things with the switch and I'm a day one owner. I'm perfectly happy with my Wii U as well and the amount of games it had. Just I have indeed completed nearly all the games I have and want (again thanks to the portability of the switch) and would love some new spanking Nintendo games. That make me entitled... Possibly but come on who doesn't want more Nintendo games as they are amazing! I have a mass back catalogue on my Xbox one and a steam list the size of my arm. That doesn't make me not hungry for some more Nintendo IP.

30k likes and 30k dislikes on YouTube. I'm more meh. Not disappointed but not over happy. Thing that I didn't like was the more from this series quote on direct minis. Nintendo is obviously sitting on some games as honestly if what we've seen so far was there E3 lineup then it would have been quite depressing. They will surprise us with something this year. Fingers crossed for full fat Direct in the future.
