@OmnitronVariant Hard agree! As soon as I got Delphox stone I dipped out. Season 1 was fun cuz there was no meta! It's like trial and error and people hadn't finished the game so you weren't getting crazy Mons or anything.

@Haruki_NLI I mean he needs to be below 50% health right? And he's quad weak to Ice. I suppose it depends on if people build him to survive at least one ice attack

Wow FM did tank really bad! If the Switch version next month is at least playable might pick that version up, shame no NS2 version for mouse controls.

I think a lot of people underestimate how much it takes to develop Pokémon, recent leaks shed light on that, for example GF have to get everything approved by all TPC branches for names, designs etc.

@Sonicka Hoping the extra year off really helped Gen 10...! If the game looks as good as Z-A interiors then I think everyone will be satisfied!

Personally I think GF were too ambitious with SV especially with how limited experience they were with console development.

@PikaPhantom I think you underestimate how much interest there will be. Pokemon spin offs notoriously sell poorly and a brand new one for a new console without that much of an install base compared to SW1 I can absolutely see why TPC went with GKC.

Last time I checked video games are a digital medium if people want to collect things physically then I just you get into board games or something

Yes GKC suck but it really isn't as serious as people are making out. How many Switch 1 games were people allowed to play straight from the cart on their new Switch 2? Most of mine told me I needed to update first...

@kal_el_07241 It's so weird other games do DLC far worse yet with all this season pass rubbish. Yet Nintendo/Pokemon only seems to get lambasted for giving people one and done DLC.

Switch 2 charges wayyyyy father than the OLED I don't see that bought up much with the battery complaints I feel like that mitigates the battery issue

@Bobb If the datamine is to be believed then thankfully there is a significant amount of returning Mons for the DLC think it was something like 167 but not sure how accurate it actually will be since it was based off scrubbed data or something from the base game.

I would've been happy with 100 so to get that much would be great

@Dom_31 Are retailers not giving discounts where you are? Here in the UK some have given like £5 off the DLC

Or if you have a Japanese account you can buy it for equivalent of around 17 eur by getting codes off Amazon JP

@ballistic90 Well we know Pokemon Day is in Feb more than likely Gen 10 will be announced for 30th Anni then so that will probably be their big holiday title for 2026

@puddinggirl I kinda get it TOTK does seem like more BOTW whilst despite what people may think all Switch Pokemon games are very different.

Also I feel like the gap between BOTW and TOTK didn't help nor the fact TOTK had price increase too IIRC

@Markiemania95 I thought the level designs were also pretty bad, from what I remember it felt like you could hardly run without being stopped one way or another.

The biggest advantage to buying Nintendo games is they never or hardly depreciate, it's always a safe investment. See people often complain "BOTW costs the same as it did 8 years ago" but to me that is a good thing! Shows that you aren't losing money if you buy a Nintendo game day 1 or Year 8

@Dee123 It's not that weird, sure there are gameplay adjustments and new rosters of players etc. Plus some people may only play sports game so why not buy the latest version. On top that sure online many people will migrate to the new game.

This mentality of people online judging what others buy and play is what is weird.

@Dang_69 Switch 2 is literally not even a year old, it's probably gonna last close to a decade so it makes sense to spread things out instead of blowing their load early. Plus it allows them to schedule stuff next year if there are any gaps in schedule.

@Dr_Lugae That is my biggest annoyance half the people complaining about "pokeslop" still wouldn't play it even if it had GTA 6 graphics. It doesn't help that sites like NL constantly been super negative since Feb, I mean just look at this article headline alone and random percentages with no context to actual sale numbers to make it looks as if the game is doing terrible, when it sold 6m copies WW and is still number 1 in the UK charts just goes to show how you can spin things to fit an agenda.

Alternative headline easily could have been "Pokemon ZA remains strong in the UK charts at number 1" the fact that isn't mentioned in the headline just shows where NL agenda is at.

Boo, how dare this game make money. How dare people enjoy it, do people not know they are being scammed with Pokeslop!!!!! Pokemon needs GTA 6 graphics even then I probably won't play it but complaining about Pokémon on the Internet is the new cool thing!

@johnedwin How is "Generally Favorable" not good? It's absolutely crazy that hate for the game has gotten to the point people are trying to argue a green metacritic score is now not considered good.

@AverageGamer Well that's what I meant by casual, someone who doesn't many games apart from Pokémon and maybe a few other things. That's why I am genuinely surprised people are happy to drop 400 on a console solely for Pokémon.

Unless I have completely misjudged how much of a system mover Pokémon is that high price is not as off putting

@kal_el_07241 Hopefully the flock of folks getting a Switch 2 for ZA might give other games a try in a couple months especially since DK has a demo too

Genuinely surprised Switch 2 version is selling as much as it has given not only is it more expensive but Pokémon has a more casual fan base so I thought not many would get new console just for it.

Interesting to see how Nintendo plays with Gen 10 if they do like XY, SwSh and still go ahead and release a budget version of Switch 2 before it releases assuming next fall

@martynstuff Instinctively I push R in whenever the gauge fills lol so thanks for the tip not mega evolving will definitely make a difference I think!

Battle system is great
Models look fantastic
Music
Side Missions are a massive improvement over PLA
Mega mechanics being reworked
NPC dialogue
Interiors are great
Canari
Rooftop and obstacles are fun
Runs amazingly on Switch 2 and surprisingly okay on Switch 1
Story is okay but halfway through so lets see if it picks up
Most new Mega's are great some a bit goofy in execution though

Con's:
Rogue battles while fun are a bit too easy, think the player char shouldn't heal like PLA and would be more challenging if solo like Absol.
Wild zones are a bit underwhelming some more than others, instead of having so many would have preferred like one big on in each sector.

@B_Lindz That is blatantly false. SV became the second best selling games and they took a year out to make sure PLZA did not have the same performance issues, they have innovated every-game from SM onwards when in actuality it would have been much safer and boring if they stuck with the game play loops for the first 6 generations

@Araquanid That's because the dex is only 230 not 400 like SwSh or SV so having the Shiny Charm for just completing the dex is too easy, like in PLA you needed perfect research for it.

@AverageGamer Yup, half these people complaining probably wouldn't even play Pokemon if it looked like GTA 6 anyway. Internet nowadays is about farming for negativing and currently anything that is Nintendo or Pokemon is ripe for that.

Is that 40% less than PLA of just Switch 1 sales or combined Switch 1 and Switch 2?

Anyway I am surprised the split was 50/50 almost! I was expecting Switch 1 to be like 60/40 or 70/30. Maybe Nintendo might not need a cheaper alternative for Gen 10.

@GrailUK I have seen these AAA comments a lot regarding Pokemon online and not sure people understand that GF are still a small studio they have like 200 employee's, CDPR have 3x that alone for example. Pokemon has never been a triple A experience so not sure why people are suddenly expecting so.

@slowpoke_tail I was expecting them to give a 5 or 6. NL have been super negative about the game since it was revealed heck just look at the tag line in this article. Not to say their criticisms aren't valid but if you go into a game with a certain mind set you will find yourself being more critical

Problem is Crossworlds is super expensive, like it was much cheaper me importing it from Japan. Not surprised many don't wanna drop 50-60 quid on it.

MKW is also expensive but obviously the name alone sells that
