Too late for a compilation when most of the games have been released a long time ago.
I won't buy it just for a couple of the games.
Hope they release the rest as standalone on E-shop.

Won't this also work with a Wii/Wii U? Via the Wii-controller.

One of my concerns is storage capacity.
SD cards are known to fail from time to time, and even a 128GB card is quite costly. And games like Zelda and Skyrim might take up close to 10GB of space each.

Will I be able to download all my games to the device?
Will the unit have some storage space?

I feel we're going back in time if I need to swap cartridges/cards when I game.

Really hope this will come out in Europe!

The prizes on VC.... I absolutely think they would make more money if they put them out at a lower price.
As it is now, I also see no reason to upgrade my games from the Wii shop, as they are fully playable in the Wii mode.

@soma I can confirm that buying games from the Wii Shop Channel on Wii U will NOT earn you any points, unfortunately.

@Dankykong As I mentioned above, it looks like buying the box will actually grant you possible more weekly points. So at least that bit is not so stupid.

@Monkey_Balls Thanks for the advice, then I will wait till tomorrow before I make any new purchases.
This really shows how silly the expiration date for points are.

@Big_Gamer @bezerker99 @vanillalake Actually, it seems like you'll get your points back for buying the point box, in plentiful.
I got 30 points for clicking on some loose coins outside the box, and it's marked with "Weekly" in the point-history, so I guess you could get 30 points a week if you have the box. If I'm not mistaken.

Do you think we get any points for spending money on the Wii Shop Channel? (Guess not...)

@Kevlar44 Trajectile was named Reflect Missile in Europe. And I agree, it's such a great little game! Highly recommended.

@Gridatttack The camera functionality is my guess for at least The Oregon Trail. Maybe for some of the other games as well.

It really brought us some great games.
My 3 favorite would be Reflect Missile (Brilliant!), Dark Void Zero and AlphaBounce.

Totally agree with you. Only that they should have given Wii U a totally new name, making it clear that it was a new console, as I'm sure so many never understood this.
Oh well, here's for the NX, though I fear it's not going to be a huge success.

@Discostew I totally agree that Nintendo would most definitely release the VC games on the 3DS as well if they could, and in that way gained more sales.
But since they don't port the games it's mind-boggling how they can defend the current price-point, when Sega is porting their MegaDrive games with extra features for less.

Hear hear. With these prices I will not buy a single SNES VC game on the New 3DS. Already bought most of them on the Wii, and some again on the WiiU.
The original VC on the Wii Shop Channel was the height of their game, since that it has just gone downhill (with the odd exception of NTSC versions for PAL regions).

Nice for those who only have a New 3DS.
But I will not buy anything here, unless they give a discount when you already have the same games on Wii U. (Similar as Wii -> Wii U).

Heres for hoping that they'll release Turtles for Wii U as well. That game looks great!

It's so sad that people feel the need to spew out negativity, for something that is more natural and beautiful than so many other issues in this world (and games for that sake).

And if you feel this is forced on you (I have to laugh); Think about the people who have been forced to live their lives with something they are afraid to tell, because so many express their hate, condemnation and disgust towards it, in some cases ending in the most tragic of ways.

The creator even marketed it now, so you people here have a choice.

@readyletsgo Yup, for the games I know are good and want. Last game I bought on a disc was Darksiders 2 at launch.

I really hope this will generate more sales for the WiiWare version, so it might actually surpass the threshold for him to receive some money for all the work he has put down.
The DX version on WiiWare is great and while the games from Wii mode could be more accessible on the Wii U, it's still easy to boot up!

@Frapp Great picture! I've been looking for something like that.
It's gonna be hard to decide which to get, though I'm leaning against the smaller one...feel my XL is not that portable..but my old 3DS was kinda small..

For me, the best features is the larger screens on the standard models (looks like a perfect fit!) and the improved performance (as I feel the OS in general is so sluggish).

Nintendo need to make sure more 3rd.party titles are released on the Wii U.
All the big titles like this, that also get releases on PS3/X360, should make it's way to the Wii U!
I own both versions of this game, bought the Wii U version partly because I thought that would help getting more games on it....

BF4 was my last EA game, ever. Even if this came out for Wii U I would not buy it.

Bad news indeed. As every added title would help the system offcourse. (Even if we have a lot of amazing exclusive games).
I hope next year will be different, and that we'll see more 3rd party titles, especially the big franchises, due to a larger number of consoles sold.
Nintendo should've tried really hard to push 3.parties to release games on their console (probably they do, but it's not currently working very good).
