Re: PSA: Trading Is Finally Live In Pokémon TCG Pocket, But It's A Real Headache

B4L0R_CLUB

It's one of the worst implementations of anything, ever. Make us wait months for trading then when it finally arrives you can't even trade anything. Absolutely shocking if I am honest, it's a good thing that Topps WWE Slam just came back - I shall be cancelling my premium pass and spending my money there instead. Topps have it nailed. DeNA/Nintendo are anti-trading, and want you to pay for the pleasure. I'm stopping short of abandoning it completely but if they don't change the feature I think my days on Pocket will be numbered. @ukaskew37 as someone else alluded to, Nintendo did not seek this investment, they found out about it in the news! No issue with Nintendo, it's just sad that money gained from destroying the planet used by people with horrific human rights records and misogynistic and homophobic views is being used to infiltrate everything PIF possibly can, it seems.

Re: Video: The Unsolved amiibo Dilemma - Boxed Or Unboxed?

B4L0R_CLUB

Only boxed are the four BOTW champions, Old school 8-bit Mario, and the Cat Mario/Peach double pack (purely due to space). I've shifted a lot of them (had over 50 at one point, now down to 10/15 or so) due to the family expanding etc. The rest were all unboxed as I have two stands for them - 1 based on the end of the level from SMB1 and the other based on the first level from the original Donkey Kong. The only ones I currently have on display (unboxed) are the three yarn Yoshis (blue, green and pink). In storage are all of the Pokemon amiibo, SSB Sonic, Petey Piranha, Dr Mario and the aforementioned boxed figures.

Re: Pokémon GO Disables Trading After Player Discovers Lucky Bug

@SuperCharr I buy the community day ticket once a month (79p) and that is it. I don't find that I need to spend money apart from that. I never run out of balls, always do mega raids - sometimes even if I already have the legendary in question - always put Pokemon on gyms if I'm near one and this gives me 50 coins a day, which is more than enough. I think there are just over 700 Pokemon currently in the game, I'm on 660. You really don't need to spend a lot of money. That's my experience anyway. Both Community Days and Battling demand your time, but one is only once a month and the other I dip in and out of as I want.

I love Nintendo and Lego. This is expensive no matter how you dress it up. Was actually considering it until I realised I'd read 'microfigures' as 'minifigures' and saw them in the video. Calling them figures is a liberty - if this set actually had minifigures I'd probably have taken the hit and bought it. The microfigures absolutely suck, though.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Speeds Into Second As Nintendo Takes Half Of Top Ten

@UmbreonsPapa Same. In fact I've owned every single Nintendo console, and still do. I don't feel that Nintendo owe me anything, I just don't understand why they think I should pay twice for the same content. A discount scheme would be a welcome change - and it's not a big ask since other companies already do it (or go even further in some cases). As i said in my original post, I get it - there is a lot of content on the Wii U that can be ported to Switch as it did not sell. It's business. The knock on effect of this is that we don't get any new content - as in the case of Mario Kart 8 which is now 7 years old.

@Edu23XWiiU That's great for you - each to their own. However, I retain my right to an opinion, and that's all it is. An opinion. One I can offer without being rude to others. I've played plenty - thanks for the concern - but I will never pay twice for a game. Normally the 'additional content' you speak of just includes the DLC from the original games and guess what? I paid for those too! Even if there is new content, it doesn't justify the £40/50 outlay. A good example of this is the 3D World port. Awesome game, but I have it on Wii U and I'm not spending £40/50 just to be able to play Bowser's Fury. Same for MK8, I can just boot up my WiiU, why would I pay £50? Enjoy your day, and maybe rethink your responses. I don't understand the need to be rude.

It's not four years old - it's seven, and a representation of how Nintendo repeatedly kick Wii U owners in the proverbial nuts. I'm tired of them re-releasing games I already have on an older system. I am not paying twice for the same content. It's infuriating. I get it, there are a lot of excellent games on the Wii U that a lot of people didn't play. But I don't understand why I should be forgotten about as a loyal customer. I've lost count of how many games have been re-released which means Nintendo have not had to develop a new version so there are a number of game franchises (like the 7 years since a new Mario Kart) for which we are still waiting for new content. It wouldn't be so bad if there was some sort of scheme in place for people who own Wii U versions but this is Nintendo, the king of the 'double dip'.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Nintendo Direct At E3 2021?

Metroid looks fun from a nostalgic point of view. It was very unexpected. Already knew about the new Mario Rabbids so no surprise but definitely looking forward to it. BOTW2 - as some have said - at this point looks like it should be DLC. Hopefully it evolves with a bit more dev time. Can't see myself playing anything else there. I'll probably pick up the Metroid amiibos along with the LOZ Game & Watch for the collection. Disappointed with no Pokemon although not surprised. DK would have been nice, and will we ever have a new Mario Kart?!

@Strictlystyles I'm confused as to why you want people to stop talking about a major consideration in the buying process of any tech product. It's a little odd. Clearly if a lot of people are commenting about the price then accessibility is an issue. Yes it may be a good product that can make your breakfast and drive you to work but if consumers can't afford it then the success of the product will be limited - which brings with it it's own consequences. Look at the Wii U (I know the issue was not price but the point is the same) which was a commercial failure despite being a great product.
