Not sure when Ill buy. Mario Kart looks unappealing and Bananza seems like something I dont need to rush out for. I usually bite for Fire Emblem, but the Three Houses connections bothers me (I like Three Houses! Just want something else)

Prime 4s new trailer also didnt inspire me, which is sad. Maybe the next Pokemon gen will be my diving in point

The game looks fantastic, honestly more appealing than I ever thought before. 4 5 6 are good and all but I dont feel there should be much urgency for these (especially 6, unless they decided to remake according to the original vision before resources where poached for Chrono Trigger). Id love to see 9 be next: it is a lot of the wests first DQ

I love all the "gamer patent lawyers" here on nintendolife trying to um actually the guy whos job is to look at this stuff

The so-called "crimson" is pretty commonly translated at Scarlet, in fact, some Japanese use that kanji as shorthand for scarlet version instead of S or spelling out "Scarlet" phonetically in katakana

That's just life. The outsourcing company gets the credit instead of keeping a list of every person that contributed some text over the course of a year or however long. The NDA is the sucky part. It makes since pre release, but after the game is out they aren't allowed to even reference their own work despite being in the credits in other circumstances

Pretty funny. I don't think leaking is some evil or anything, but it's definitely a "play stupid games get stupid prizes" sort of deal. Hope the internet clout was worth losing your job

@swoose I'm assuming the video is bashing new super mario bros wii? It's easy to tall big 15 years after the fact, but that was an amazing and inventive game at the time that everyone loved playing. The DS predecessor was also the first classic Mario game since super Mario world. I have nothing but love and respect for the NEW series (except 2)

Origami and Color Splash are very fun with funny writing. The only Paper Mario's I haven't liked are Sticker Star and Paper Jam

I won't buy a mainline Fire Emblem with no SRPG elements. Engage showed they don't even care to make a good story or have support convos with much substance. I've bought every English FE at launch and this would be a great way to lose me

I'm interested in how daisy will be characterized. Peach imo took on a lot of the personality I imagined Daisy would have. I guess they could lean hard into the sarasaland aspect and go with a a Spanish or Indian coded imagining of her to differentiate her further.

Color Splash has insanely good writing. Genuinely funny with interesting gameplay gimmicks. Definitely underrated

You will matched with max rank players who have gacha only skills that will destroy you mercilessly for the first 20 hours or so. You also will only have access to three raiders unless you buy more. There are also previous season pass locked anime characters (King Kai, etc) that are currently unobtainable (they have unique skills too)

Tien doesn't even need a WIN in super, just show us that his training has merit by being able to at least tango with a God level power for a bit.

His best moments are when he takes a stand against insane odds (vs cell, one armed tri beam, hell even blocking super buus blast)

Daedream and Hoocrates alone are amazing enough make pokemon designs now look like reject Robopons. The only one I've raised my eyebrow at so far is the "definitely not meganium" grass type

The original premise was that you were summoner that commanded the champions.

I think that's been changed now but at one point you were a self insert and the characters would sometimes address you when you issue a command.

@KingMike right on the money. You can't 1 to 1 translate an entire work. Sometimes there are words that have a deeper connotation that doesn't directly translate over, etc. Localization is a part of every translation.

I like how the commenters here and in the review thread are in denial that it could be an excellent game just because the publisher is Ubisoft.

I like dungeons and I like being able to do more than cut grass and mindlessly mash A to beat small fry enemies.

TOTK was a step in the right direction regarding dungeons.

I think next focus should be on creating denser worlds with even more varied side missions to discover

The specifically wanted to riff the evil trio of characters from an old Japanese anime, the Doronjo gang. This trio is the bread and butter evil gang in Japanese children's animation, with Team Rocket being an evolution of it.

But anyways, if you look at the picture I sent, there is a pretty boss lady in black with two henchmen, one being skinny like waluigi and one wide like wario

The first 3 Paper Mario's are all great in their own way. And Color Splash is hilarious, definitely slept on.

As for Mario & Luigi, Superstar Saga was the only one that clicked for me. Browsers Inside Story kinda lost me one the insides sections

Earthbound and Undertale are great games that don't need massive resources in order to create a system similar to them, so I can see why. A generation or two ago, everything was metroidvania (Shovel Knight, Super Meat Boy, La Mulana, Cave Story)

That said, I'm with you on the Tumblr art. This one actually looks a lot better than most in that style on the art front, but I'm definitely weary of games that have it
