Why on Earth would Nintendo drop cartridge support for a "Switch Lite", that would be absolutely stupid. They've already got many cart based games sitting on store shelves that wouldn't be sellable to the owners of the new system. If they want to design their next platform to be digital media only, that's their option, but not any version of a Switch.

@EvilLucario We live in Michigan, but go to Universal Studios Orlando all the time. My son and I are planning a trip to Universal Studios Tokyo for shortly after Super Nintendo World opens. Two of my favorite things in one place, it's pretty exciting!

@AlexSora89 The Vita was not as powerful as the PS3...not even close. Now if you want to go your route, then the Sega Nomad was a Vita before the Vita as it was as powerful as a Sega Genesis, you could plug it into your TV or put it in your pocket (big pockets required) and play on the go (for 30 minutes until the batteries died).

@Crono1973 Where did I say that Nintendo benefits from it? They benefited from the original sale. While that same cartridge could be resold several times, It's not the same as a game getting downloaded tens of thousands of times from one sale.

@mikegamer Those other 849 games not being out does not give you anymore right at all to steal those games. Buy a NES or SNES and hunt down the game you want for it.

These roms sites have zero legal right to provide Nintendo roms...stop whining about it guys. I for one am glad to see Nintendo cracking down on them.

@Hikingguy Kind of like the joke of a hard drive that come in the standard PS4 and Xbox One? I had my Xbox One for less than 6 months before I had to buy an external hard drive (or re-install my games each time I wanted to play them which can take forever).

My release day Switch has zero problems. No cracks, no scratches "from the dock", no over heating issues...nothing. While I'm sure that some people have legitimately had these problems, a poll is sadly not a good way to measure it. Sadly, too many people are more than happy to trash something that they don't even have.

No Switch version, then it's no buy for me.

I simply do not understand why an enthusiast site such as this would promote a device that plays pirated ips. By having an article on a device like this, you bring attention to something than many wouldn't be thinking about otherwise and some will in turn purchase. Sad.

People want Super NES Minis to be in stock at the store, then people need to STOP buying stuff from SCALPERS!!! If people would use their fricken heads and not pay scalpers huge prices for stuff, there would be stock for everyone in the stores. There are still scalpers sitting on piles on the NES mini model yet. SAD!

I'd like to get it, but... the price is a little high and it'd be nice to see what improvements were made over the mobile version. One of my favorite Mario Kartesque games on mobile is Beach Buggy Racing which looks and plays better on the Switch than my iPad Air 2.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Always Mr. Positive, aren't you. Your constant negativity has gotten very old. Maybe the Switch will sell that many, maybe it wont, but to say it NEVER will is simply stupid. Of course the Switch will most likely go through multiple revisions over the next several years and if it does in the end sell 120 million units combined, you'd just say that your NEVER comment was only for the original model.

@Anti-Matter Yes, because that would make a great exploit for the scumbag pirates to take advantage of. You want to see the Switch die off quickly, make it easier for people to run roms on their systems. If it wasn't for every and their brother "stealing" Nintendo's games on other systems, maybe Nintendo would't have to go to such great lengths trying to prevent it.

@Bunkerneath The article is wrong. I bought the physical version of the game and had the exact same problem. I had to turn the system completely off and restart to get the game to load quickly. I didn't bother to time the loading before that as after a minute it was obvious that there was a problem.

@techdude I have an Xbox One and had a PS4. Most physical games on those system require a multi gig download too (as big or bigger than the size mentioned above). This isn't just a Switch thing here guys. I had to buy a 4TB external hard drive for my One just months after buying my system. Now, you guys can piss and moan about having to buy a SD card and/or cancel your pre-order for the game, but then don't itch when third parties stop making games for the Switch. My advice would be to buy a larger SD card and get over yourselves.

@Drummertist Just think, if it wasn't for ahole scalpers, you wouldn't have to deal with this. I remember walking into a Toy's R Us on the release day for the Sega Genesis, walking up and buying one with three extra games. No lines, no tickets and no ahole scalpers.

@LuckyLand The thing is, Sony doesn't bring and hasn't brought anything to the table except under powered gaming PC's in a cheap plastic case and the fanboys gobble them up. The Vita was more out there and their base just didn't care. They remind me of Tim the Toolman Taylor...More power. All the while being severely under powered compared to a good gaming pc at the time. I've owned every Sony system along with every other system out there. I bought the Sony systems for the exclusive and nothing more. Since having the Switch, I'm finding it harder and harder for me to set time aside to tie myself to my TV to play any of my other systems. I'm mobile and now so are most of my favorite games.

@bluedogrulez I'm thinking that the physical version of Sine Mora EX must have delayed some as I received an email this morning from Best Buy saying that my pre-order had been delayed too.

The PlayStation analog stick setup sucks, so this isn't for me.

@BlueOcean Yes, that was a great game at the time and we played the crap out of it. Sadly, it did not age well at all. We tried playing it a few years ago and I thought that I was going to throw up. I don't care if the graphics on a game are 720p or 4k, but give me a steady smooth frame rate of 30fps or more...please.

@Moon I agree. As long as they can keep a pretty steady 30fps, I'll be happy. 60's best, 30's acceptable. I've played game with less then 10fps...those aren't much fun.

You [removed] that the Switch gets ports and then you [removed] that games like Octopath Traveler aren't "big name games". If they had announced Final Fantasy XV for Switch, you'd [removed] that it's a port. Must suck never being happy.

@RedMageLanakyn What the writer was doing is stating that the entire file size for the Mario Odyssey game is just a little bigger than a single save game file for NBA 2K18. NO save game file should be 5GB...that's just f*cking stupid!!!!!!! I've done plenty of programming over the years to know that just not right. I'm hoping that it's just some mis-information.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE The problem is that stupid people are buying the pre-orders from scalpers on eBay for more than $200. That simply makes scalpers go out and buy more. If everyone refused to pay more than $79.99, then it wouldn't be as big of a problem.
