Re: Rumour: Super Mario/Rabbids Crossover Still in Works for Nintendo Switch

AlwaysGreener

Is there some kind of recent curse that was bestowed upon the Mario series whenever it involves itself in an RPG? It's been one apathetic game after the next for over 5 years, there's gotta be reason for something like this.

With the recent rumor of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga DX remake swarming around gives me some hope in quickstarting the classic RPG roots, however the idea of Rabbids being in a Super Mario RPG is still a bit unnerving seeing how their popularity and appeal is little to none at this point.

Re: New Nintendo 2DS XL Announced, Releases 28th July

AlwaysGreener

@Oat That was pretty surprising to me that Nintendo never really supplied the normal New Nintendo 3DS in North America, especially since the detachable face plates could've been very profitable in an age where everyone likes to express their own individuality with their devices.

Re: Stardock CEO Says Nintendo Switch Doesn't Need Third Party Support To Succeed

I believe there's a balance between 1st party exclusives and 3rd party games. I doubt many Nintendo fans would buy a AAA game such as Mass Effect, Call of Duty, or dare I say Skyrim, however I do see the possibility of 3rd party exclusives much like Monster Hunter, Professor Layton, Etc being much more profitable on an Nintendo console.

@Jeronan @faint Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii U sold decently, however it was released at a time where monster hunter isn't as popular in the west as it is now.

@yuwarite I except your stance on the feature, honestly I do, but people have the right to state their opinion whether you consider it selfish or not. Having a cautious mind is better then having a naive one. Whether you consider it my only consternation weak or not, it's my opinion take with a grain salt if you really have to. Though as I said before it's not a bad feature, I still have the right to speak out my concerns, if someone can't except someone else's opinion then they're just as selfish. It's ironic how we're complaining about people complaining, but I feel this conversation has run it's course. I hope you do not feel ill-will towards me because of this argument for I do not have anything against you. Thank you for keeping this argument civil and have a good day.

Re: Weirdness: You Can Play and Win in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Without Touching the Controller

@yuwarite It could be training wheels, however there is a possibility of people who'll just use it forever. I mean you were the guy who called everyone under 25 the whining generation. The reason i'm bothered by this is that there might be a possibility of such a thing, however the only one who's upset here is you my friend, since I just stated my opinion and my opinion only.

Re: Splatoon's New Manga Serialization Launches in Coro Coro on 15th May

AlwaysGreener

There's always something about Japanese Manga to me that makes it stand out. Cultural differences are major factor to that, for example something like this is a type of comedic low brow randomness that appeals to young children. Much like fart jokes, slapstick, etc. What's interesting is that low brow comedic gags found in shows like Ren & Stimpy, Looney Tunes, and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy are starting to disappear in western media in exchange for more intellectual jokes instead. You could say that there are shows now that do the same low brow comedic routine, however they are done poorly and leave little to be desired in terms of comedic value.

Re: The Switch Is The Fastest-Selling Video Game System In Nintendo History

@Crono1973

"...the thing I find the most humorous are the people who say they never bought a Wii U and then beg for Wii U ports. If there were enough interest in Wii U games to justify buying a Switch and then begging for ports then there was enough interest to justify buying a Wii U."

Eh, you're just going to have to take it with a grain of salt. The Wii U had its perks, but for many consumers it's concept was less to be desired compared to the Switch's. And seeing is how the Switch is getting some ports of Wii U games, there's a large possibility of some of the Wii U's brightest gems being ported over to much wider and more interested audience.

Re: Nintendo Has Discontinued The NES Classic Edition in North America

AlwaysGreener

@Turbo857 But paying $60 for 30 games was just a better deal, then just paying $5 for each game. I'm sorry if I snapped at you, I've been looking for this thing for months, but to no avail. The fact that it's just now been discontinued both struck a nerve of frustration, while also being disheartening for many like me who've looking for it all this time.

Re: Nintendo Has Discontinued The NES Classic Edition in North America

AlwaysGreener

@BiasedSonyFan Yeah, but they still had the potential to make money with NES classic. The Wii U being dead as a door nail, the 3DS slowly moving out of the spotlight, and the Switch being the juggernaut of sales that it is, there is no possible way that the NES classic can hurt it sales. Hell, it could bring more potential customers to Nintendo, with the whole retro craze going on these days. Any sale is a good sale and it's still desired by many who would give their hard earn cash to buy it, but why go against it? The Switch has solid footing with no real competition in it's wake that could move it, since it's on a league of it's own, console wise that is. Why would Nintendo just give up on potential gold mine?

Re: Nintendo Has Discontinued The NES Classic Edition in North America

AlwaysGreener

@Turbo857 I doubt we'll get anything special from the Switch's Virtual Console, if it does get released that is. It'll probably be as sub-par as the Wii U's VC with it's drawn out colors and poor control configurations. The fact that you believe that this would cannibalize the Switch's virtual console is complete hogwash. It's bad enough Nintendo screwed up with this, but it's even worse when fanboys damage control the situation and act as if it was good thing.

Re: Poll: What Wii U Ports Would You Like to Play on Nintendo Switch?

AlwaysGreener

@Yasume Though it's true that the Switch needs it's own good exclusives to be successful, but bringing some Wii U ports over to the Switch would be beneficial since there is good chance of people who own or will own a Switch probably don't even have a Wii U. Bringing the Wii U's best titles over will not only allow a larger audience to enjoy them, but it would also lessen the Switch's gaming drought.

Re: Sega Countdown Site Teases Bayonetta News Next Week

AlwaysGreener

@Action51 It would be a better investment just to get the Switch, the Wii U had some good games, but it's not worth buying at this time especially since there's a large probability of the Switch getting some Wii U games in near future, with the likes of Mario Kart 8 deluxe, BOTW, and Lego City strengthening the possibility. My hopes are that a port of XCX and TMS#FE gets confirmed to come on the Switch.

@3MonthBeef I don't examine every little detail in the comment, but I do read the articles, since I actually trust this site (most of the time) with it's news, mainly to see what's new with the Big N. I don't want sound like i'm offended or anything, but what do you mean by "...we've gotten to get a fair handle of you spouts some out there comments." I was just making an observation with his rhetoric. And who almost banned who?

Re: Warner Bros Issues Full Statement Regarding Lego City: Undercover Install Confusion

@bimmy-lee I guess just saying "well that's, capitalism" would be a broad term. But nevertheless everyone is entitled to have expectations of said product. If said company/corporation can't deliver on said product or give a good reason to buy said product, then the consumers has the right to move on the next said company that will. If the consumer doesn't like said product they have the right to give his/her dissatisfaction with said product. And if entitled consumers are spreading misinformation or giving negative opinions of said product. It's up to the company or corporation to debunk misinformation and appease those who are having an issue with said product to insure that sales are good. That's what PR is for.

Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Grow in Japan as Monster Hunter Stays at Number One

AlwaysGreener

@PanurgeJr To be honest the evidence that @Action51 states in his opinion isn't really that significant. He just said that there are Switch "naysayers" who flip the Switch, when something like power and sales come to mind. Not saying something like that doesn't happen, but I found your comment on "significant volume of evidence" was a bit over exaggerated in my opinion. The only thing he stated is that their are people aren't giving the Switch a fair shot, when the only thing he had stated was just his opinion and hypothesis with no concrete evidence to back up the claim.
