I'll be honest, in 2012 I predominantly visted IGN, CVG and Kotaku for my Nintendo news... since discovering this little gem of a site I visit on average at least two to three times a day. Great work guys, I couldn't name a better Nintendo site even if I tried.
I am furious! I spent at least 40 seconds of my life downloading this, at the huge cost of nothing. And now I have my free application, I'm going to rant that it doesn't suit my high standards! Rah rah rah etc...
It's free. Stop moaning and being an idiot. If you don't like it, don't use it. Or better yet, email Nintendo and ask for a refund.
Words from my own heart. I've got four kids and a full time job. By the time I sit down I'm mentally drained and physically exhausted. As a youngster I would happily play resi or something that requires full undivided attention, but now, at the end of day I want to sit down, press start, and be playing the actual game and furthermore, relaxing within five minutes. I was a huge 360 gamer, and now I just don't have the patience for the vast majority of titles. Nintendo though, with their charm and simplicity have always brought me back.
Genuinely gutted. This made writing to friends overseas dead easy, and it was a nice way of leaving little messages for my daughter. Plus, it's done wonders to help her with her handwriting.
Music is key. Certain tracks will always take me back to a time in my life from when I first played. Bowsers theme from 64, the battle music in Dream Team is fantastic and really sets the scene, and the hub theme from Galaxy are all perfect examples.
Great review, it confirmed pretty much what I felt after playing the demo; initially I was overwhelmed and frustrated, but the more I played the more I loved it and was able to figure out its quirks and eccentricities. Roll on Friday.
@Alshain01 yeah dude, I had the same concerns going in but 3 is absolutely nothing like 1. There is an element of constriction insofar as you need at least 1 fruit portion to live for another day, but I took my sweet time and finished with well over 50 portions of fruit. If your perception of 3 being similar to 1 is holding you back from picking up a copy, you're doing yourself a grave disservice as the game is an absolute gem.
Thank god I'm not alone, mine is crashing too, right at the point where the rabbit taoes the tablet out... was panicking then thinking my 3DS was borked.
Since going to the Zelda Symphony of the Goddess concert in London I managed to get every single puzzle piece. Tip, if you're looking for hits, go to a big Nintendo event! Plus, the concert was jaw droppingly amazing.
Maybe its just a case of not as many people want the game made as you think, Denis. I love ED, I played through it again about three months ago and it still holds up really well, but after playing their further titles (MGS not included), it does make me think that maybe they've just lost it. And yes, as said above I also feel that the Kotaku article, all things considered, was pretty fair and reasonable.
Before the SNES and Megadrive, I had an Amiga, and it was one of the best games machine I've ever had.
Yeah, it was missing Mario and Sonic, and loads of the greats have been listed above. Special shout out to @MadAussieBloke tho for Moonstone, THAT GAMES IS TEH RULEZ!!!
Does anyone remember Wizball though, developed by Ocean? I LOVED that game...
I work in Cardiff Wales, and I would have thought streetpass hits would have been really infrequent, but walking around the city still yields regular hits.
@jukilum I wholeheartedly agree. And considering it's not fundamentally broken, I feel they've obliged in providing a decent service. Just because something isn't exceptional doesn't mean it isn't decent.
@belmont seriously dude? How busy are you that you can't take a few moments to do this? Yeah, it could be more streamlined, but you know what? They didn't have to include it, and I for am grateful.
The price will be massive. At the end of the day it all comes down to the games. I own a PS3 and a 360 with a 70,000 gamerscore thats been collecting dust for a year because I'm tired of the Killzones, CODs, Halo's and Gear of Wars, its just a formula that gets repeated endlessly with sequels that just keep getting bigger and bigger that do little to further the core gameplay; I can't help but feel that with spiraling production costs the whole thing is going to implode.
You could argue Nintendo have been doing their repetitive formula forever, but I personally find the simplicity of their products more appealing. The prospects of Nintendo's future Wii U releases, even the ones that haven't even been announced have me more excited than the stuff on show last night. Graphically they're admittedly gorgeous, but they just don't interest me in the slightest.

Re: Interview: Dakko Dakko on Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails, Clever Cats and Utilising the Wii U
Minor claim to fame, I streetpassed Rhodri in Cardiff once, he confirmed it via twitter and even messaged me a couple times. A genuinely lovely bloke.

Re: Iwata Asks Connects With The Team Behind StreetPass Relay
If I stroll through Cardiff I get about 4-6 a day. There's a definite increase since this has been implemented, my current population is at 517.
Re: Contra III: The Alien Wars Listing Points to Virtual Console Releases
Love this game, I live in UK but it'll always be Contra to me, second level with the birds eye view was always a pain in the donkey...
Re: Four New Titles Added to Wii "Nintendo Selects" Budget Range in Europe
@MJKOP too late, JUDGED! In all seriousness though, if you're gonna start anywhere I'd recommend Melée.

Re: Pokémon Rumble U Figurines and Special Edition Available From GAME in the UK
@JaxonH they're £3.99 in the UK too... bit steep for a blind pack IMO.
Re: Pokémon Rumble U Figurines and Special Edition Available From GAME in the UK
@Peach64 woah, dedication. They're in Cwmbran as well if anyone cares to know. Does your friend rate the game at all?
Re: Pokémon Rumble U Figurines and Special Edition Available From GAME in the UK
Saw these earlier in Cardiff, has anyone given the game a go yet? Can't find many reviews

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Dated for Europe
You don't need a guide book dude, that spoils the sense of exploration and adventure!
Re: Review: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (Nintendo 64)
The first game I ever bought for my N64, and it cost £67.99. And to insult to injury, I didnt even know it needed a memory pak #rinsed
Re: Feature: A Brief History of Pikmin
I personally preferred 2 to the first one, the mechanics are sound but I hate being rushed through a game.
Re: Purchase Pikmin 3 And Receive A 30% eShop Discount On The Wonderful 101
Think I might just go digital now, that's a pretty awesome bargain.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Believes The Wonderful 101 Won't Need DLC
Sod dlc. After spending a fortune on the stuff for 360 I've finally realised after 8 years at how worthless it is. And yes, I feel like a total mug.

@ScorpionMG plus, snes games look effin' sweet on the gamepad...

@korgoth I had similar issues, I kept firing at 11 o'clock, despite being certain I was aiming dead ahead! Bit of practice and I'm nailing it now.

Re: No Off-Screen Play For Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate On Wii U
It's not a deal breaker but it would have been nice. As a father of four you have no idea how much of a godsend off screen play is for me...
