Bandai Namco has revealed the release date for Captain Tsubasa: Rise Of New Champions on Nintendo Switch and other platforms. You'll be able to kick off starting from 28th August.
The news comes alongside a brand new trailer which you can check out for yourself above, as well as the news that the game will be available in Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions (available on digital stores and in participating retailers starting from today), and Champions and Legends Editions which will be exclusive to Bandai Namco's own online stores.
Back in February, we were treated to details on the game's story mode. If you missed it, make sure to check that out to learn all about the game ahead of its summer release.
Excited to play this for yourself? Will you be getting it as soon as it launches this August? Let us know in the usual place.

I have no fanheaded axes to grind with EA, but chances are THIS is the first football game I'll ever buy on Switch.
Very Shaolin Soccer (which should have been call Kung Fusball).
Looks like it could be quite a fun footie game though. Not one of those po-faced simulators but something a bit more "small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts".
Now this could be interesting. May tide me over until we actually get some news about the New Inazuma Eleven
Beyond pumped for this, it looks real solid so far.
Serious, i am no soccer fan, but this really grabbed me. Looks cool, almost like watching an anime.
Holy crap the Legends edition comes with a custom foosball table hahahahaha. That's gonna be so pricey but I waaaaaaaaaaaant it.
This looks really cool!
Tsubasa the net! ⚽💨
Nice!... Only had Wasteland 3 for August so perfect launch time.
Lot of hype for this. If the gameplay is fun I am gonna dip into it.
Getting this is a must.. as I'm a die-hard fan.
@tsdenizen Yeah I saw that and yikes! £1,789.99 !!!
Don't think I've ever seen a collectors edition like that, truly for collectors at least.
Think I might go with the champions edition, not been the biggest Tsubasa fan but the game looks a lot of fun.
It seems there aren't many soccer enthusiasts here, but I'm glad they are interested in this game. Personally I do love this sport, but I haven't bought a soccer game in a long time simply because most of them are a cash grab (FIFA) and I prefered/used to actually play the game in real life. This game is the exception though, it actually looks like something original and fun that actually took effort and love. I'm a fan of Captain Tubasa too, so more reason for me.
This brings back some memories. Really loved the cartoon back in the day, and even bought and read the trade paperbacks for a while. Might have to pick this up if it turns out any good!
This looks great, it will fill the Inazuma Eleven size hole until that game FINALLY releases!
Did I see a season pass?
So unfortunately it's another game with 'deluxe editions' with content that could be on the base game
Oh well
Home AND away kits? I’m sold!
Read the manga while I was little; played handful of games on FC and Super Nintendo; watched the anime too. But.... why do I have a bad feeling abt this game being bad? I am not buying one until review comes out.
