I remember playing the first chapter a long time ago and it was very, VERY good, nice to see it coming to Switch, I was thinking about how I needed a point and click fix.
I'd pay all the money I have to be at Konami's meetings, just to witness with my own eyes what kind of idiotic brainstorming gives birth to such ridiculous, half-assed ideas.
@Nintendian I would love to share your optimism, but I don't think anything Pokémon related will be announced at E3. At best we'll get some gameplay footage.
I don't want to sound douchy, but to all those who say "Nintendo has always done this", "Nintendo has always done that", please remember that the things you mention mostly or entirely happened when Iwata was still president.
Iwata was a good man, a great programmer and a dreamer, he had incredible intuitions like DS and Wii, but he was no businessman. Kimishima, though, is, and I don't think we can expect Nintendo to behave as they've always done with this new president. Whether this will be a good or a bad thing is still not completely clear, but the marketing for Switch speaks volumes, according to me.
I really hope for a mainline game for Switch, but I'll probably take whatever.
A platform base of roughly 60 million units, which doesn't seem that small, now does it? About the manufacturing costs: S/M was almost a disaster technically, with the 3D almost always off and the unstable framerate. I hope these kind of profit make them develop the next games properly, at this point GF is just unjustifiable.
Why you think it wouldn't be possible? Not saying it doesn't look or play good, but all the footage I've seen for DS3 doesn't seem SO graphically intensive it wouldn't run on Switch with adjustments.
Or maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't rule it out completely
After all, Wii U got Mass Effect 3 and Switch is getting Skyrim so yeah
I might be a functional analphabet, and maybe it's also due to English not being my mother tongue, but it seems to me they don't mention voice chat on the console itself but only through the smartphone app, is it correct?
As if there are no third party accessories/spare parts. Come on, years ago I changed my PSP analog stick by myself, you really think no one will sell batteries you can easily replace? Nintendo consoles are usually easy to take apart
I still can't help being amazed at how 3DS is still selling steadily, despite having sold 60 million units already, and with Switch a mere month away. Just wow.
A lot of people seem to be excited for FEW, which I'm not. Not particularly, at least. Any FE game, be it a port, remaster, whatever, on launch and I'll be happy, thank you Nintendo.
@Tyranexx I've gotta say, I'm baffled. Italian voice actors are usually known as some of the best in the world but my language's dub is absolutely horrible. I mean, German and Russian are the close second to the Japanese dub, what is going on? And even English to me is "just" ok. I'm really puzzled by Nintendo's choice to be honest.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's useless. Just wondering if it was worth investing in a technology that might not even be used to its fullest potentional by anyone other than Nintendo.
First of all, I've preordered the Switch and I'm getting it day 1. The thing I'm worried about, though, is that I'm afraid Nintendo spent money and invested in the "wrong" place. What I mean is, the price of a console is not justified by CPU, GPU or RAM, but on the whole technology involved. Allowing us to play Breath of the Wild on the go for 3 hours is a feat in and on itself, but did they really need the HD Rumble? I don't doubt that developing that technology cost money, but is THAT the feature they needed to invest in? Just saying.
@Alshain01 Yes, I can understand that. I played Fusion and Other M and started Super Metroid but never finished it, so I'm definitely not a die hard Metroid fan and maybe that's why the change in character didn't bother me that much. I need to play through the entire series though, if only my backlog wasn't so huge
@Alshain01 Mh, I can understand the point but I can't say it bothered me much.
Having a strong but, how should I say, more "believable" character than a "I go in guns ablazin" girl did it for me.
I mean, I get she's a strong and fearless bounty hunter, but being stranded in space with every kind weird and dangerous creatures lurking around must be scary, no?
But yes, I get your point and it's fair for everyone to have their own opinion
To sum it up, I still have Prime Trilogy in my backlog, but I sure wouldn't turn down a sequel to it or an Other M 2!
@TruenoGT Which is what happened to Other M, every time I think about it I can't even begin to understand how people can hate such a beautiful and brilliant game. And it's not sarcasm, I'm being completely serious, it's in my top 10.
@NTELLIGENTMAN This is starting to get old... Why do you think most music producers, artists etc use Mac computers instead of PCs? Don't want to be the devil's advocate here, but what you pay is design, sturdiness, and the fact that their OS is made to work perfectly on the set of hardware they've chosen, as opposed to Windows, which has to work on an infinite number of hardware combinations.
Anyway, yeah, most things mankind has accomplished were made "because I can", can't see nothing wrong there
@Moon You've replied in an extremely calm way, which is surprising considering how unintentionally douchy my comment was, sorry about that, wasn't my intention. Anyway, yeah it could've said that, but you know... 5 years is a long time in technology, as good as iPhones are, expecting a 4s to run new apps is kind of a stretch I'm afraid...
I wouldn't even say it's fair to give this game a score, really.
This game got me and my colleague (who's actually more of a friend ) to walk 1 hour both last Saturday and Sunday.
This game got me to start running yesterday evening about 3 km, and another 3 tonight.
This game lets me catch Pokémon WHILE doing physical exercise and seeing parts of my town I'd never seen before.
All the while competing with my colleague to see who gets that Pokémon first or raises their CP higher.
We've been stopped by an American girl (we are in Italy, near the base of Aviano) on Friday, who gave us a few tips about the game, and by countless other random guys playing.
This game doesn't even deserve a score, it's a wonderful experience and it's pure Nintendo philosophy in all of its social aspects.
Yes, I'm in love with this.
@agqwestern You got it completely wrong, it's the opposite. Contrary to English, Japanese (and Italian and to some extent Spanish as well) are languages that are "spoken how theyh're written", if that makes sense. So it's not Poh-key-mon or Poh-kay-mon, but Poh-ke-mon.
This is easily the best Gb/Gbc game for me, and one of the best Zelda games imho, I'd rank it even higher than OoT! But that's maybe due to the fact that it was my first game ever on my first consolle ever, the first model Game Boy! Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of speedruns, but I think there should be skill involved, this just feels like cheating..
@Aryon same thing happened to me 3 times: NL and two France confirmation Trying to pay since I got the email this morning... Nintendo, why don't you want my money? I'm in Italy BTW
This direct had me completely uninterested, bored and disappointed, until I saw SSB. God it was jaw-dropping. Also WW HD looks kinda cute, the other games too, but there were too many things we had already seen.
Hope this gets blocked immediately by Nintendo.
Also, I still can't understand why most people would never steal a car, or a wallet, or whatever, but doesn't feel the same way about pirating games.
It's clearly the same, both from a legal and a moral point of view.
EDIT: also, having downloadable retail games on the eShop is already a way of doing what people claimed flashcarts were usd for.
@Marshi As far as I know, the two Oracles are widely regarded among the very best Zelda games, and most probably the best handheld games in the series. They're better than Link's Awakening, I'm told, and Link's Awakening is beautiful and it has aged really well.

Audrey is the lady's name, while Audie is her in-game name, which is the same. Don't know if it's a coincidence, but the name is the same.
