Will the original pro controller be compatible with switch 2 ?

I owned the NA version but they all look terrible in my opinion.

Wow that's expensive

First, I think it will be up to 4 players and call it 1234 switch.
Second, I got it on launch and it was very nice when there was a group of people of around. Having said that, it was a big miss from nintendo not to include it for free specially when sony added the amazing astro game with every PS5 to showcase the new controller and it did a fantastic job at that. Oh and btw I sold my 12 switch copy when the joy cons started to misfunction which was after a couple of months after purchase.

@JustMonika i have OG switch and i dont play button mashing games on my switch, mostly first party platformers but still encountered the issue twice. But in both joy cons the issue will dissappear while playing handheld, once their out is when the problems starts.

Most of switch owners are facing joy con issues, I hope the survey cover that part. Even if it did, nintendo must do drastic changes to the joy cons. This comment may not be related but as an owner of several joy cons, they all went wrong after a short period of gaming.

I think nintendo should do more collaborations for thier other IP's like fzero, wario land and maybe ask ubisoft to do a starfox game for them. It's better to keep the franchises going on while their fans are still alive.

@michellelynn0976 I take good care of my videogames and besides, I have owned many consoles and handhelds in my life and never had a hardware/controller issues with them.
There are way too many people experiencing the drift so suggesting that they are not responsible is not ideal, sure some will abuse their controllers but not everyone.

@michellelynn0976 I take good care of my stuff and yet the drift issue appeared after 3 months from purchasing my switch. There is a clear issue with the joy cons.

I think they saved their event with metroid and the new wario ware was interesting also.

I think with each generation of consoles and technology advances it become the golden age. I was fascinated when the sega mega drive came out and again when the first Playstation came out (it was so realistic at that time) and then again when ps2/gamecube came out and so on.

@NintendoArchive I would not sell my switch personally as I still love the machine but I have a ps5 as well so I am not short of games. My complain is because I am a nintendo fan since the famicome/gameboy days so I expect the best as a fan.

@Deltath I would not call it rapid rate, when the switch was released there was a new game almost every month but the last 2 years the gap became bigger. The reason that I have high expectations is that nintendo merged the console and handheld market with one console and they were releasing alot of games to both earlier.

The game industry became more creative with mixing up genre's to create a new gameplay which can be nice if done properly like how the new final fantasy games became action rpg's but to solve the confusion with the audience, give them game demos to try the game before purchase. Personally, Ps plus introduced me to new games/genre's which I loved and would not thaught of buying before.

@NintendoArchive I am talking from a certain perspective that is a current switch owner who owned a wii u earlier, many of the games released on the switch were from the fantastic games of the wii u which is great for people who never owned a wii u, however, if you did own a wii u then the gap between first party games become much larger.

I played new super mario on wii u and it was great, I wished for a new entry instead of a port. Well, that is the price you pay for owning a wii u I guess.

Ofcourse there is going to be a gradual decrease if there is no constant releases of games. It is really surprising that nintendo was releasing more games when there was a handheld and a console and after merging them it became very dry.

I just hope they don't make it easier.

@Rob3008 totally agree; however, the new comers will enjoy a vast libraray of games. It is us who baught it at launch (specially if you owned a wii u) will feel the dryness of games releases.

@FroZtedFlakerZz go for it, amazing game even of you are not a fan of the genre.

I dont tend to replay games and since I owned a wii u and played alot of it's exclusives, it only made me wait for games on switch and made the gap bigger to wait for nintendo exclusives. Nintendo are taking their time to release their big hitters but in the other hand it gives me time to enjoy my ps5 more.

It's been dry from the switch side since I already had a wii u and played most of the first party games there. PS5 keeping me busy specially with the ps plus games lately.

Never played a kirby game but he was excellent as my main in smash ultimate.

I would prefer to get this on switch rather than ps4, I will wait for sometime before buying the ps4 version.

I got shovel knight and hat in time in the current sale. Playing shovel knight currently and enjoying it.

That is awesome, something to look for in the future. I only played TTYD and missed color splash on wii u, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Also, this announcement means that the mario collection is true since both were leaked together.

I think RE4 should get the remake treatment on next gen consoles instead.

They did a great job with RE2 remake, so any remake is a welcome including RE4. It would be nice if they considered RE0 as well.

I played both RE4 and RE0 only on gamecube and I enjoyed my time with them back in the days so I am not sure how they have aged.

I got the variety kit and it was fun building it during quarantine. The building process and the end result are great but the novelty wears off quickly due to the lacking software.
I tried to find the VR set but it became difficult to find one and if I did, it will have a very high price tag.
I think now is the right time for nintendo to produce and promote the labo kits as it is great during quarantine. Many people are back to lego because of quarantine and labo have a similar appeal.
