Crash 4 Nintendo Switch

The official Crash Bandicoot website has potentially given the game away on an upcoming Switch release for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.

The game, which serves as a sequel to the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, is due to launch on PS4 and Xbox One on 2nd October 2020. No official Switch announcement has been made just yet, but a listing for 'Nintendo Switch' has been spotted in the official website's source code.

The Switch mention was initially found by Twitter user @SunwerPrower, who points out that when viewing the site correctly, only the confirmed PS4 and Xbox One versions are mentioned. We examined the source code ourselves to double-check and sure enough, there is a 'Nintendo Switch' buying option that hasn't been pushed live to the site.

Now, we should stress that this cannot 100% confirm the existence of a Switch release - the code may have been copied over from another game listing, or it may have simply been a mistake - but there's definitely reason to believe a Switch version might be in the works.

As you'll know, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is already available on Switch, as well as Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and this game comes from the same developer and publisher. You might also remember that N. Sane Trilogy actually launched on Switch a year after the PS4 version did, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy also leaked from its official website ahead of time, so could we face a similar situation here?

Time will tell, of course, so we'll make sure to keep an eye out for any official announcements and update you if and when the time comes. Until then, let us know if you'd like to see Crash 4 on Switch with a comment below.
