A results briefing for the last fiscal year has revealed that Nintendo plans to share more details on the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service next month.

We already know that the service is set to launch this September, priced at $19.99 for an annual subscription (or $3.99 / $7.99 for a one-month, or three-month subscription respectively), but what we'll actually be receiving for our money is still pretty unclear.

The one thing we do know, aside from it being necessary to play your favourite games online, is that the service will include access to a 'Classic Game Selection'. Including the likes of Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fightand Dr. Mario, this will act similarly to Sony's 'PS Plus' and Microsoft's 'Games With Gold', allowing you to play the games as much as you like while you have an active subscription.

Other details surrounding the online subscription are few and far between, however. Will a subscription provide players with digital download discounts? Will it come with themes for the Switch's bare-looking home screen? Hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

Until the big news, then, what do you think we'll see for the Nintendo Switch Online service? Is there anything you're desperate for Nintendo to include? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
