Oh yeah another article mention switch in china mainland is restricted. Funny everything is working normal so far. Except the youtube app on switch of course.

I tried and loved tetris. Will play that over the weekend.

Day one for me. I still play HK even i achieved 100percent but it doesnt get boring for me. As to the switch exclusive part: yeah i doubt it, it will come to all platforms sooner or later.

@Zach777 That is strange, i feel my games even update if the switch is just in the dock powered off (but that might just be not possible). Check if you have enough internal free space available.

As somebody who finished 6 from 8 guys i can say, as much as i like it, it is very repetitive but at least the music is one of the best (videogame ost) ones i heard in years.

I sometimes keep on playing zelda as i never got the chance to play it on my NES (even i got the golden module). Its quite fun and i definitely try the newly added ones.

As a lot of others, i am craving for SNES, N64 and GC, heck even Wii games.

I might buy it over here, was looking forward for a physical release.

Super Mario Party it is. I had a quick game yesterday (10 rounds), after all the negative comments i was a bit worried but i have to say its quite fun. I am also 100percent sure nintendo will release additional boards. Can not say anything about online playing yet.

@BlueOcean They might have their reasons for not bringing the boards online. I am not sure whats going to happen if your connection drops at round 18.

However it doesnt feel right to just bring the minigames to online, but maybe thats the direction they are going (quicker rounds).

@PanurgeJr it feels he is dissapointed, and i get his point because i feel a bit same. Having less and smaller boards, some other sources mention you can not choose the CPU players freely anymore, rounds are limited to max 20 rounds? And so on... It feels just dissapointed having a company not thinking through this.

Did they run out of menory storage or ideas for new boards? I dont think so. Would it have taken more than 5 minutes to add a 30 or even 50 round option? I dont think so.

The game might be good or even great but it doeant feel right. Reading all the downsides it feels mediocre and i am also not looking into a day one buy anymore.

I hope there are more boards. I remembered from MP1 or 2 that i enjoyed it that all boards had different specials such as changing ways and make it a more or less difficult level to play. No problem if they use elder boards from previous versions.

@opeter Exactly. The problem is that SimTower is free to play now, but this one costs too much. I would spend 10 euro or so to play it. Does it get a physical release? Then probably a bit more.

Just to give some updates on the facts. E-shop is working fine again and so does online backups, without any vpn or manual DNS change. I havent checked on the biggest chunk on nintendo online which is obvious the online gaming.
It is true Nintendo does not sell the switch officially in mainland china but you can buy it in a lot of places and it seems to work fine for downloading games from the e-shop.

Will buy mario party the first day it comes out, Starlink if it is comparable to Lylat wars. Dark souls not sure, there is so muche hype about it for being such an old game which makes it veeeeery interesting, also i have never played it or even saw a gameplay video about it.

@Camilla as i said earlier it was working before the update. Who knows what happened. I will keep checking again in the future if they found a way to fix it or not. I guess PS4 and xbox networks are fine...

@Camilla wow, thats good for you. The whole topic here is about users in china have problems. So i assume it should be fine for you.

@Camilla Which area? Which internet provider? Home or mobile internet? I usually get errors which point to network issues accirding to the nintendo error page. It was working fine before the 6.0.0 update.

I any case i dont consider myself an online player but i would have bought into it for mario kart which was also working before, and the upcoming smash and super mario party.

Can confirm, eshop doesnt work half of the time, cloud backups never work. Was working before with a manual DNS Server IP but it seems nintendo or china's firewall is checking this now.

Makes no sense to buy the online membership only for the NES games - at least they work. Single player only, of course.

Does anybody know about the country restrictions for Online? Havent found it on the nintendo FAQ so far...I am asking because of China, eShop worked so far, havent tried after the update.

Will buy one. They should be available here at the same time, as they get everything from hongkong.

@Medic_alert Same here, i felt instant regret after i bought it for switch, the controls feel just not right and i havent touched it for half a year or so.

@mr12calvin I dont know when you have been here but i bought my switch and all games in shanghai, they have plenty of stock and you can find all their stuff like controllers or other hardware in many shops.

I will definitely not buy in it on day one. I might be interested in playing some games like smash or SM Party online, but i feel if they put a liiiitle bit more effort into this, it will turn out much better.

Give us some of the old stuff like Snes, N64, gamecube is very easy to implement. Add voice chat or a messaging system is also no new stuff. Streaming apps? Easy.

My guess is that nintendo saw on the wiiU that if they bring out everything at the beginning, there is not enough new features to sell the switch over the entire lifecycle. Means they are holding back on those features to release them slowly over the years.

I have too many games to finish, but i am 10 hours into octopath traveller and try tongo ahead in therion's questline this weekend.

@zool Agree. I loved Worms on Pc but it is horrible to play on my switch. I miss some decent controller input.

I was a bit concerned when i read it as i use my switch more in dock mode than on the run (70/30), but no cracks so far. And to be honest if i find after another year some cracks which do not impact the function i dont think i will be worried.

Also immediately felt there is a lot of emptyness in the game along with less details, but hey it can still be a good game.

Downloaded it and was kind of looking forward to play it due to the hype some years ago. After only 1 hour i realized maybe its bot my type of game, getting no progress. I also might feel i would be happy with a real fallout game and paying for it.

I loved Pixeljunk Eden on PS3 and played it to death with a friend of mine. It was a brilliant game and so i was looking forward for pixeljunk to bring a game to switch. But a tower defence? Not really interested....

Not covered the hard mode? Some people dont know about that...

Just picked it up and on my way home, looking forward as my last DKC was on SNES.

Love the game, also poured countless hours in it. As I read somewhere before, it's more a relaxing game than one you have to really achieve something. If you want then get a lot of money, clear the community house from the nice ghosts, get married with children, try to get all receipts and cook them, and and and...i made a break from it now but 2 player mode will definitely put me back inside.
