Super Mario Party is a brand new Mario Party game coming to the Nintendo Switch, officially announced during the Nintendo Direct E3 2018 live stream.
As you can see in the trailer, a range of play styles will feature including a particularly fancy looking game featuring multiple Switch consoles lying on a table, all lining up to create a single image.
The game will arrive on Nintendo Switch on 5th October.
Are you ready for another round of Mario Party?

It will be interesting to see how putting 2 systems together at different angles works in real life.
God, I hope they change that logo. It looks like something from a fangame from 2008.
WHO CARES ABOUT LOGOS OR 2 SYSTEMS TOGETHER!? THEY GOT RID OF THE VEHICLES!
I bet it doesn't have online.
The perfect family game! Thanks Nintendo!
This finally looks like the party is back!
Mario Party has not been so great these past 10 years or so. MP8 is the last great one.
Hopefully they don't put something in the game that puts people off.
Looks like they fixed a lot of the problems people had with Mario Party ever since they introduced that terrible car, all we need are good boards and mini games and we should be set to have one of the best Mario Partys in a very long time
I hope this Mario Party game will have classic style boards
I can't wait to play this with the fam! Damn I'm still at work. I have to wait 6 more hours before I can watch the Direct. THIS IS KILLING ME
Ignored this series in the past but now I have a little one, this could be a lot of fun.
Love the connecting systems trick, was I the only one to think how cool that could be for Advance Wars?
The vehicles are gone and people are already complaining about a logo?
Interested in this since it seems that the car is gone
Looks like Nintendo is getting back to brass tacks. Trimming bloat.
This one looks good. I thought we'd see Yoshi or a couple more new games. Smash, Pokemon and Mario Party seem to be the Switch Fall/Winter lineup.
Only major new game shown! It better be good. So far a very poor E3 unless Bunty is doing all treehouse reveals? Smash should have had a smash direct!
It looks BRILLIANT. Although I love mario party 9 and 10 the most!!
Star Rush on 3DS is really fantastic too if anyone hasn't tried it
It's been too long since a good Mario Party game. Hopefully this can change that.
Once again though, all my gaming friends that play Nintendo games are not local, so as cool as it is, it’s worthless to me unless this has online...
I, for one, didn't have a problem with the car mechanic, personally. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but I had far more problems with the different board rules in Island Tour than whatever 9, 10, and Star Rush did for me.
...but I am pleased to see the formula returning closer to the classic one, if not exact...at least going by the latest footage.
This is cute and all, but I really wish they'd release an updated Wii Tennis (I know, Mario Tennis is a thing, but it's not my cup of tea.)
Sweet, I'd been looking into getting a Mario Party game for Wii or Gamecube lately, now I'll just pick this one up. The motion control games look kinda crappy though
@MADGAZ what about Daemon X Machina? An exclusive new third party action game seems like a big deal to me. Oh and Ninjala. That new IP from Gung-ho.
Getting this day 1.. this should have been in existence and not 1,2 switch..
So, back on track? Or, rather, finally off track?
Hopefully this is a return to form for the series.
I know Mario Party is big, but they have a mutliplayer game coming out in December called SSBU. Surely October would have been a better time for that Yoshi game they showed off last year, or Pikmin 4 which they keep talking about. Or even a Skyword Sword or Super Mario Maker port.
Why have 2 multiplayer games like that but abandon single player for the holiday? Last year they had XC2 and SMO, this holiday seems really light on single player games on Switch. Guess this holiday is all about selling Switch to families that already have one.
Really happy about this. Was on my wishlist last year aswell. Just the fact that the damned car is gone makes me happy. Also Bowser playable character is interesting (for general play this time too) and I saw Goomba and Boom Boom & Pom Pom as new playable characters. Actually noticed Monty Mole from the trailer that looked like a playable character. Glad Mario Party gets the focus again!
Looking great if they really did get rid of the vehicles.. now please, online play.
People can't tell me that Mario Party would be too long a game to play online, i had games of Worms Open Warfare 2 on the DS last around 40 minutes or so at times. Anyway they could just limit the amount of turns for online play, or change boards slightly so they aren't as big just for online mode if they are that concerned about it.
The most interesting announcement from the Direct, hands down. HYPED.
Yes! Cant wait!
Nice. I really hope this game supports online with friends.
Much like Ultimate will be my first Smash, this will be my first Mario Party.
Because you can play a simple game by putting two £300 consoles side by side for 10 minutes of 'fun' or gimmicky game play, does not mean you should. Mario Party games have a reasonable fan base and I guess they will be happy with this 7/10 game but those who don't play Party or Tennis games won't be converted, even if they can find a friend with a Switch and a copy of the game.
So stoked! Bring a few classic board maps and classic minigames with new boards and new minigames, and it will be the best Mario Party since..... Forever. Last Mario Party I bought was 5, so excited to play this series again with family, friends, and people online.
This looks good, but it's going to be a hard sell as the last couple Mario Party games we had (Wii Party U and that one with the amiibo) were not very successful in our family. They both had very clever elements (like this one has that combined Switch thing) but the overall experience was often a slog.
I'm hopeful though!
