@westman98 Not for nothing, it's pretty damn cool. We've seen a ton of these Windows devices that sound like a launch PS3 rocket and cost like 3x of Switch, we'll see how the end result turns out. It feels like a more polished consumer product, than a straight up portable PC/tinker toy all the Windows ones have been thus far.
@westman98 That's the funny thing about it. The vocal minority is just that. They scream the loudest and throw a fit, but at the end of the day a lot of people just don't care or get involved with social media and the like. This thing was a given to sell out instantly. There will be many opportunities come release day, I was able to easily get a Red Mario Switch for same day store pickup. This is only the beginning for the SWOLED, I'm sure it'll get new colors added eventually.
Same deal with Pokémon Sword/Shield. So many complainers online, it might be the most toxic community I've seen and yet it didn't matter. The game sold extremely well.
I knew this thing would sell.. about as easy to predict as resellers will try to mark up the price on eBay "preorders". People can have their opinions and express their displeasure on why they won't get it, which is fine, but it sounds like you're trying to convince yourself more to not wanting it if you ask me. If you didn't care, you wouldn't talk so much about it, right?
And you can't blame Nintendo for it being what it is, they didn't announce a thing until the other day. Blame Bloomberg and other media outlets that got it all wrong. Only believe the primary source, never the media, because they're just doing it for the traction and ad revenue they get. They don't care to get it right, no need to, they just have to post something click bait-like and the gullible ignorant eat up all the 4K and blast processing. Meanwhile in reality, places like Bloomberg are laughing at all the money they got from ad impressions.
Best Buy was a good option, sold out fast in my area, but I did like how it was store pickup only. Was able to grab one from Target though. They were an hour later, but was a lot more relaxed checkout experience. Was able to use my RedCard and saved $17. Now hoping it won't get trashed during shipping.
Internet: "I won't get this! It's stupid. Nintendo disappoints me for not making this the thing everyone (other than Nintendo) said it would be. Zero improvement. Price hike! I hate Nintendo for lying to us!"
Can we stop reposting articles from Bloomberg. They're not the most trustworthy when it comes to news. Plus, this is info no one asked for nor cared to know. No surprise Nintendo is making profit, every company does it. How dare Nintendo make profit on us.. just like Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Samsung etc. Nintendo is a corporation, they're not friends. They exist to make profit. Companies still take L's on consoles for quite a bit of time before turning profit.
I feel like this should have been the Super Mario Party DLC we never got. Anyone that got SMP will feel slighted in having to pay a full $60 to get what Nintendo never did on the first one. We dislike micro transactions and loot crates, but we're not above selling amiibos with locked features or nickel and dime you with Smash season passes.
It can be entertaining at times, but overall the comments started pretty dull and didn't seem to really open up at all throughout the entire article. It could have used more positive replies instead of the same cynical, snarky approach to things they don't enjoy. I'm giving the comments here a 6 out of 10.
And this is why social media fandoms are so annoying these days. For every good social media has done in the last 15 years, toxicity is unfortunately one of the many side effects.
Give anyone a microphone and you truly find out how bat ***** crazy they are. We're always one Pokemon announcement away from going zero to death threat in secs..
What's different on Yonder? Is it just a rerelease with different box art? I already have it physically from years ago. Such a good chill open world adventure game.
@nocdaes That's the good and bad side of sale weeks. Excitement to see what's on tap, the sadness when it takes like 45 minutes between the shovelware and the slow ajax loading.
@abdias I can confirm that I've tried my PS4 T80 racing wheel on the Switch via the Mayflash Magic-NS adapter. Just have to change to gamepad/arcade mode. It was fun, yet difficult (my fault for the lack of room I gave myself) to play Truck Driver when I tested it.
@JayJ I feel like the goals seems to be better understood in SnowRunner than MudRunner, but you can confirm or deny this since you've put more time in to it. I just kept restarting the map where I was and getting stuck during lumber hauls lol. I still had fun, but frustrated since I didn't know what I was doing. Looks really awesome when I watched someone who knew what they were doing make hauls and use the wench properly to get out of jams.
I first played MudRunner on PS4, liked it. Was super excited to try the steering wheel I got. Fast forward, it got announced for Switch and got it there as well. I am absolutely terrible at the game, but I really like what it's trying to pull off. Just like @CoffeeSnivy and @Slowdive , these weren't really my type of game (they've grown on me). I like the concept of you versus the elements, but it's way more enjoyable to watch someone who knows what they're doing, I'm not exactly a car guy.
I also got Truck Driver on Switch and don't regret it. It has the typical drawbacks as most open world games do now on Switch, draw distance.. mary pop-in and visual downgrade, but it doesn't take away the fun. I've watched some of the videos online and it looks on par with MudRunner and framerate seems pretty stable, minus the occasional stutter step.
Similar to Subnautica, I am absolutely terrible at playing these games, but that doesn't keep me from trying to play them. I use GameFly, so mine is actually on it's way (just sent back Subnautica).
EDIT: I can let you know by Monday, @Slowdive . I should be getting it from GameFly then.
I just appreciate that it's a color I'm not super fond of, so I'm not tempted to get it. Good on those who like the color though, I hope you have fun with it.
Not sure why everything has to be a debate or a flame war. Spend less time speculating and arguing (or giving opinions) over nonsensical stuff. Use that time to play more games.
@Mii_duck @TheWingedAvenger the stupid part is you should re-reviee it for those who have never played it. It's 9 years old, that's a lifetime in technology and first time on a Nintendo system. It didn't need as many upgrades as Mass Effect 1, because the game still plays well. There's the typical drawbacks for a Switch port to exist and run mostly stable. I love this game, but a few issues I've noticed:
Draw distance fades in/out better then Skyrim, but NPCs and baddies can have mary pop-in on their corpses. I think for me, the most noticeable are shadows.. I changed my camera to a more pulled out angle (closer to isometric) and the shadow fade in is quite noticeable in the forest.. basically one solid shadow until you get close and it starts defining itself. I also had some slow down on the initial spider encounter at Webwood.
Outside of those, I'm having a blast with the game. Those things are noticeable, but it's 100% playable. I'm around 18 hours, close to level 10.
I was late to the party with this, found it at GameStop early 2018 for Xbox 360, played again on Xbox One and the new version on Xbox Series. Just like Skyrim, I docked my Switch to keep playing while it was charging and hours later, forgot I was playing on Switch. The only way this game would be more fun as if you could play co-op.
The game ain't perfect, wasn't in 2012 and still isn't. The camera controls was enough for me. And again, I think within the same sentence when reviewers note of how little they updated it (it has more natural color and less bloom and blurriness), they should also note that it mainly exists as a new release to prep for the upcoming expansion DLC.
I'd give this game an 8/10. I won't degrade it for being an old game and it does not show its age at all. The art direction is a style choice, like third person Torchlight. The world and lore is still a lot better looking and fun to explore than most games since 2012.
If you like open world fantasy action adventure RPGs, I'd check out some gameplay on it. Don't ever base your choices on someone else's opinion. Reviews are good if they cover what were deemed as technical issues or limitations. It is heavy on the fantasy. The thing that I most like about it is that it's a power fantasy. Unlike similar open world ARPG games where you start weak, this game never makes you helpless. You don't have to grind 20 levels to feel bad ass, you're already that from the beginning. So far, I've only died once from not dispelling magical wards. I've gotten close a few times (I really dislike brutes and trolls), but that's what health potions are for! It's not a mindless button masher either, avoiding death countless times, I've used my shield to parry and stun attacks or roll to avoid being swarmed by Boggarts or Ettin Brutes. There's something to be said about having a challenge without needing you to die 10x to beat an enemy, some games get super hard due to lack of substance and depth.. of which this game lacks neither.
I also like how you can respec your character or even play as something entirely different if you have points and gear for it. Extremely helpful for a long play through to change you weapon choices around to see what's best. I usually start as a sword and fire staff.. now I'm using Faeblades and Chakrams.
And if I were to remake it or do a second game.. I'd include jumping, combat target locking, mounts and co-op. Jumping has baked in jump platforms, mounts are negated with unlimited stamina, but this game could have benefited tremendously with co-op.. it feels like they left over abundance of loot for one person to deal with!
@originaljohn When you remember we can bow play this portably.. and there not being a Kingdoms of Amalur on any other Nintendo product.. how does those get 6/10? This game has never once claimed to be a remake. They didn't have to change much, because I've been playing the 360 version leasing up to the remaster last year.
What a lot of people fail to realize is we finally got this on a Nintendo platform, Switch no less. Another RPG that we can sink our teeth in and not be tethered to a PC or TV. What's more, like Titan Quest, THQ is actually adding new DLC for it. For that to happen, they had to put it out their as a THQ property, not EA. I am absolutely loving it so far. One favorite thing about the remaster is the new camera controls.
This gives me more reason to love Switch with either porting last gen games or new versions of last gen franchises like Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, Saints Row, MUA 3, Borderlands, Diablo, AC Black Flag, BioShock, Red Faction Guerrilla, LA Noire, etc.
No, because I already own this on Switch and Xbox. I had this game preordered for near a year now. While I was skeptical with lack of information before it finally got released, I am happy to say that it is a true pleasure to play on Switch. The graphics take a hit when compared to everything else, but the gameplay is king. It's best feature is cross save, which is why I got the pretty version on XSX.. play on Xbox at home, then handheld on Switch when away.
I love how the game uses cosmetics and perks. One accessibility feature the game does is scaling your inventory menu from handheld to docked mode. It makes your icons larger in handheld.
The more I play it, the less I compare it to BotW. It's in the same ballpark as BotW, just different field. If you like ARPGs or action/adventure games.. try the demo.
One of my favorite games from last generation! Now all they need to port over is MUA 1+2 and I'll be a happy camper after Diablo and Torchlight. Maybe sprinkle in some LotR War in the North and Sacred.
I would love to play Mass Effect or Titanfall on-the-go! Or try some hockey portably if it were stable experiences.
You know you can actually play EA games without paying for micro transactions, right? Just don't play any of their ultimate team modes that benefit from those tactics and you got decent games. It would definitely bring a lot of new game styles and genres that the Switch hasn't and might not get.
I like a bit diversity. I am capable of having an open mind and jump from ACNH to PGA 2K21 to Streets of Rage 4 to the Outer World's and back to Diablo 3 in the same day.
What I dislike, the next person likes. To each their own. More power to them and honestly better for Switch if EA brought their service over. That could help bring proper versions of fifa over and other large franchises like Jedi Fallen Order. Not everyone enjoys the same tastes. EA is more than micro transactions and sports titles. Again, Mass Effect would be fantastic to play again.. or Alice Madness Returns, SSX and even Skate 3 in handheld.
While these people might be slightly insane (like PETA), they do a great job at building their case. Yes, while Nature Day does seem kind of funny to be included in a game that rewards you for chopping down trees, it's also a game I don't take serious. It's not meant to be taken serious, it's an escape. Everyone is so big to bring up faults or criticize the game, but why aren't they commending it for being one of the few refreshing games that isn't the same cycle of MURDER! BLOOD! VIOLENCE!
I can't take a game serious when I have sheep that are fitness freaks or cats wanting to be pop stars.. nor is it trying to be realistic. No game is going to be perfect, because everyone has different likes and interests. Just enjoy this super chill game for what it is. Considering how the current climate is in the world, I'd much rather people play a game like Animal Crossing than a game that you're a killing machine. Now go catch some bees and chop down some trees.
Rather than Nintendo saying NO to cloud saves for Splatoon, Pokemon and Animal Crossing.. why didn't they host user data on their own servers? Something backend that don't see or interact with.. like how Fortnite and other free-to-play games operate. We don't have cloud saves for them, they have their own serves and logins.
I'd much rather sign-in to Animal Crossing and have it have back up to an external server, than to worry about what happens to my town if my Switch dies, gets stolen or I get a new device.
I understand that it could limit the lifespan of these games tremendously if they're server based user data, but they could always make contingency plans that come in to effect after so many years, it could turn on cloud saves when they discontinue the servers? Just spitballing ideas out, because I find it ridiculous that Nintendo wants us to pay for Online, yet some of their titles don't offer common amenities.
Folders would be nice, a good way to separate favorites or better define digital and physical games at a quick glance. Xbox has a really good tiling system for groups. I do like how PS4 opens more info below when you go on a game.
My hopes/dreams and picks would be: Wind Waker HD (really hoping!), Super Mario 3D World and Deus X: Human Revolution. While I'd thoroughly enjoy Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch.. and it's a type of game that would prosper on Switch, they're already bringing 1 over. I don't think they'd bring both over the same year.
Try Mad Bullets (rail shooter) on Switch. It's simple and fun once you get the hang of it. We definitely need more on-rail games for Switch like the Wii days.
This is only an option once someone makes a grip case for it. I'm looking at you, Skull & Co! I like the colors and it could be a strong entry level for the DS families to join in, but for someone who already has a preexisting Switch(es), I'm content with what I got. I'm also happy it doesn't have a 3D slider.
OMFG! I love this resurgence of the ARPG genre. Between the old games finding new life on Switch (Bastion, Titan Quest, Hob, Torchlight 2, Diablo 3) and newer games/ports like Mages of Mystralia, Warhammer: Chaosbane and now Darksiders Genesis. I already loved the Darksiders series and now even more!
I love the callbacks they have to the past games. I have the complete X-Men Legends to Marvel Ultimate Alliance franchise. Easily in the top 5 franchises for me. I love the isometric action rpg genre.. more so on Switch! Diablo 3, Nine Parchments, Mages of Mystralia, Victor Vran, Bastion, Elli, Hob, Moonlighter and Oceanhorn.
I also cannot wait for Torchlight 2 and Baldo to arrive later this year along with Oninaki, Link's Awakening, Kingdom of Night, Crystal Chronicles and Hindsight 20/20. Pretty sure there's a few I'm missing as well.
@Dellybelly they can't port a game over on a new system (with cartridges) and expect to sell it for what everyone else is selling it for. If you're keen eyed, you can get it for less than $10 pre-owned at GameStop. The fact is costs compared to digital only and physical. They will lose money if they lowered Switch eShop to $20 and physical for $40. $40 is a tad high, better at $30, but it is what it is.
Digital can be dirt cheap after time has passed, because you don't have to factor for distribution/marketing and brick and mortar. So essentially depending on the publisher and eshop ratio, we pay more for digital sales than physical sales. New releases match the $60, but in turn they're probably gaining an extra $15+ per digital sale than physical. More so, doesn't have stock issues to have a game sit in a digital storefront for years and depreciate slowly over time.. there's no physical media to lose money on and I'm sure they've already made their money back years prior. This is just convenience than having to keep printing media to retain it in-store.
Keep in mind digital runs in to licensing and ownership issues (unless it's an online or "games as a service"). Anddd also.. it's definitive edition. So the cheapest physical route is used probably won't come with any of the premium DLC package came with. I'm not "all-in" with this digital world yet. I may get a game here or there mainly based on the fact that the physical to digital for THAT game platform is vastly different.
For anyone new to it that has last gen systems, I'd suggest Xbox 360, because it works on Xbox One via backwards compatibility and it's essentially the same game minus upscaling. It's cheap, physical and plays on modern consoles (might not have the DLC, my copy is the default release). The Switch version is very liberating to play in handheld or take it with you from docked mode to continue the adventure.. Than in itself is worth it for me, so I can maximize my time. Dragon's Dogma is fun in the same way and I cannot wait until MUA3 comes out to be mobile with that one as well.
This game is so much fun portability. I get the frame rate issues from time to time, but it isn't game breaking or anything. I'm hoping the patch fixes that. I got this on the Xbox 360/Xbox One a while back and didn't hesitate to double dip on the Switch. The game still holds up after so many years. I still laugh at the terrible car karaoke. I still wish there was more camera options for driving mode, possibly more pulled back isometric angle like GTA V has.
It still feels like a lived in world with all the shenanigans and crudeness that gave it the not-so-serious edge it needed to be a different sandbox action RPG. It's a great time waster, even just driving around causing havoc.
I prefer this with a pro controller (The bumpers are easier to hit), but it's very capable in handheld mode with help from my Skull&Co GripCase. I've only played in handheld or table top. So I can't comment on docked mode's performance.
I've been rotating play sessions between this, Bastion and Dragon's Dogma.. such a blast!
This is a fantastic franchise, stemming from the old X-Men Legends days. Who doesn't like isometric action RPG games? I still play XML 1+2 on the GameCube and MUA 1+2 on Xbox 360 regularly. I'm stoked that 2 of my favorite isometric franchises are going to be on the Switch, being Diablo and MUA. This is a day one purchase for me.
Summer is also much sooner than I had anticipated. I was expecting Fall 2019, but this makes more sense at the end of May when the Marvel movies tend to fall under Memorial Day weekend.. which is the beginning of summer. I'd give this a June 4, 2019 release, because I hope they play homage to it's origins (X-Men Legends) by putting it out the same week of the next X-Men movie. Plus, it's also a month ahead of Daemon X Machina. You have enough room to spread Nintendo published titles without needing to tripping over them.
What are you guys all looking for in this? More than likely, majority wouldn't play it regardless. It seems interesting, a lighthearted take on the isometric action RPG games. I saw some gameplay on it and it doesn't look half bad. Yeah, you're not going to have Diablo III or X-Men Legends level of customization and character building, but it's a nice game. Why does everything need to be either a 9 or a 2 with readers here? From the gameplay I've seen, it definitely looks like a 7/10 type game. I love isometric games and this will be a buy. The puzzle mechanics remind me of Oceanhorn, which I adored. The graphics look good, but the camera could have been less top down and more angled.
It looks like a mediocre game for adults, but a solid game for kids. And I commend them for not making a silly cash grab game. It looks like there was some thought behind this one and it caught my eye from the first few screens Nintendo posted on the eShop a while back, but was hesitant when there was very minimal information online for it. This day and age, if no one's talking about it or they aren't giving away too much information before release, it turns out like Fallout 76. Remember, this is a kids game after all and even with a license, they didn't sell out, they actually made something worth playing. With DreamWorks Dragons: Dawn of New Riders, I'm very pleased with how it turned out and I'm looking forward to getting it on physical.
It isn't nearly as rough as the review explains. I have it on Steam and I got it again on the Switch. The game is lovely. Side quests are fun distraction that don't pull you away from the main story so much as it makes you more aware of your surroundings to pick up items or do certain tasks to help an NPC out. The gameplay I feel is rushed, you don't really earn your magic abilities.. they're given as you walk through the opening credits, but you do have some RPG elements and modify them, also make up to 3 modified versions of each magic ability for the moments when you need to curve (turn) your fire projectile, than switch back to just straight fire projectile. The game was and is beautiful.
Problem solving in their puzzles are clever and fun. They have multiple styles from using magic to solve puzzles or moving pieces around to connect lines in a mage puzzle.
Like Stardew Valley, RiME, or Yonder, Mages of Mystralia is a chill game. It has a cute lore to it and you can get lost in running around breaking barrels or finding things for NPCs. The game has you back track a lot in some areas, whether the path is blocked, helping an NPC or going back to a puzzle that you just gained a magic ability to help solve. If you like a simpler Zelda type game that mixes isometric camera angles, puzzles, magic and action adventure RPG games, you'll enjoy this. I'm a fan of the X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance franchises, Nine Parchments, Travis Strikes Again (it's growing on me) and Diablo III, you'll enjoy this. I've been enjoying isometric games a lot lately and playing them on the Switch is a Godsend.
My only gripes is I feel like the audio is very low for the Switch. Could have been fun couch co-op. Maybe they add it for replayability, but having to kill baddies every time you re-enter a load area is annoying. Outside of those, being able to play this on my Switch over my PC or Steam Link to my Android TV is beyond amazing. The price isn't bad for what you get either. I have been looking forward to this game since it was announced and it did not disappoint, even remotely.
Next month, keep an eye on RemiLore. If you like these type games, keep an eye out on RemiLore as well. It comes on Switch late next month, I think the 26th? Also, I cannot wait for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3! 2 of my favorite franchies wil be on Switch soon. First being Diablo and second being Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Not sure if Kingdom Hearts will ever make an appearance.. and Microsoft has Fable locked down unfortunately.
Nintendo didn't really create the nostalgia trip, they just refined and streamlined it behind quality. I remember seeing review about this a while back and they weren't too great on it. They were $100 then, and even still weren't worth the price tag. Also, some purest might not enjoy it being that they took out the clicky noise in the controller.
I think someone spoke out of turn and ruined the surprise. They're spending too much effort into trying to debunk it.. like they did when they posted the Twitter graphic a while back and kept saying "we're not making a Switch game". Cross-play and/or even cross-platform syncing would be tremendous. When the game first came out years ago, cross-play wasn't a thing and they backpedaled the cross-platform character import/export. Nowadays you can only migrate from last to new gen.
I recently just got back into Diablo III: Reaper of Souls after years of being on my shelf and fell in love all over again, just put in 10+hrs this weekend alone. I honestly think, this is one of the few third party games that would legitimately gain from cross-play connectivity. I'm sure most D3 players who have a Switch would buy it again (probably for the 3-4x) if it meant that they didn't have to grind all over again.
The portable nature of the Switch and how easily it is in D3 to go offline and online co-op, screams "cross-play". Now whether Blizzard wants to patch the previous versions is up to them, but I'm sure they can put something in where the Switch can read imports from PC, Sony and Microsoft versions. I feel like the Switch can be the oddball console (being that it is hybrid) that could benefit from being able to import characters of previous versions. Who wouldn't want to play D3 in portable mode in offline co-op. I mean, before we had to farm at a TV or PC.. now we can do it anywhere!
Cross-play would guarantee old players coming back in droves. It's almost necessary for the Switch version to be a successful port so late after the previous versions. I'm getting it regardless, because I'm only 20hrs into it, but I can't imagine how demoralizing it would be for those who invested 5000+ hours to start anew. This will legit be my new/old hotness come November.
Let's be realistic, they're NES games. After 20-minutes, you'll be bored and go back to playing something modern. I own tons of NES carts, but they're simple, yet brutally frustrating to play. Save states might get me to come back for a second try, but then again.. I have an NES Classic that makes this service seem dated before it began. Expand further than virtual console and I'll be more excited. Nintendo bores me with typical NES/SNES titles all the time. Between virtual console, original consoles and classic emulators, it's the same recycled stuff, but a new way to charge us for it. Virtual Console NES.. NES Classic.. Switch Online? How many other ways do you want to try and pump me for LoZ or SMB?
I don't find it too ridiculous, because we have to remember for the most part, you need to be logged in to PSN or Xbox Live for their stuff to work as well. I don't think you can actually save any game data if you're not connected to the Internet with Xbox Live. Cloud saves expiring are just backups of your local and service tied games, 7-day expiration if not on WiFi is a little weird, but not too uncommon. It probably is a preventative from downloading NES games on multiple Switch devices and thinking you can leave them there indefinitely. The Switch has to work differently than the other systems, because they aren't hybrids. I feel like I'd consider signing on another Switch Online account more often than I would with my PSN or Xbox Live ones.
tbh, I haven't played this game since it's release back in 2016.. until like a week ago. Partially due to the upcoming Pokemon game, but also got a phone with a better battery. It's actually kind of fun. whowouldathunkit
@SpaceboyScreams there's probably reasons why Nintendo has yet to give some things off the bat. Things take time to develop or have a check list of things that need to be accomplished prior. I don't trust hackers, because their egos make them sloppy. I'd much rather get updates from people that have been working on the console for years, than moonlight hackers. I find it ironic that a hacker gets blocked on a device. Nintendo knows more about the Switch than these hackers do.
I started the Switch revolution in my family. Since, 2 cousins and I've gotten both my brothers 1 as well. The Switch seems like a one-person console first and foremost, with multiplayer being a novelty at family gatherings or particular games.
I think what's preventing the Switch from being a one-person handheld are the prices for games. We only have a few games that overlap. Console price isn't devastating, it's more of the games being $60 a pop that long term kills my wallet.
This firmware update DOES more than you think! I can now use my Mayflash F500 arcade fight stick in handheld/table top mode. Alls you need is a USB dongle and you're good to go.. docking not needed anymore.
I think I'm wither going to continue playing Kirby SA or dust off Zeldy BotW. I've fallen back in love with Zeldy. Despite so many PS4, Xbone, Switch and 3DS games.. I keep it in rotation.
Last weekend, I wanted to change things up and played some RBI Baseball, Bomberman and Ultra Street Fighter II. This week I plan to get my hands on some NBA 2K18 (physical) and Fire Emblem Warriors! Earlier in the week was some Stardew, Zelda and MK8.
Nintendo Switch version looks fantastic, but the New 3DS version is endearing in it's adorable cartoonish flavor. For that alone, I may get both versions!

You mean the ex wife?

They were an hour later, but was a lot more relaxed checkout experience. Was able to use my RedCard and saved $17. Now hoping it won't get trashed during shipping.
Re: Nintendo Switch OLED Pre-Orders Go Live In The US Today
Internet: "I won't get this! It's stupid. Nintendo disappoints me for not making this the thing everyone (other than Nintendo) said it would be. Zero improvement. Price hike! I hate Nintendo for lying to us!"
Secretly waits in virtual line to preorder.
Re: Switch OLED Upgrades Reportedly Cost Nintendo "Around $10 More Per Unit"
Can we stop reposting articles from Bloomberg. They're not the most trustworthy when it comes to news. Plus, this is info no one asked for nor cared to know. No surprise Nintendo is making profit, every company does it. How dare Nintendo make profit on us.. just like Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Samsung etc. Nintendo is a corporation, they're not friends. They exist to make profit. Companies still take L's on consoles for quite a bit of time before turning profit.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Mario Party Superstars
I feel like this should have been the Super Mario Party DLC we never got. Anyone that got SMP will feel slighted in having to pay a full $60 to get what Nintendo never did on the first one. We dislike micro transactions and loot crates, but we're not above selling amiibos with locked features or nickel and dime you with Smash season passes.
Re: Switch Users Report Problem With Error 2123-1502 Following System Update Issues
I think adding folders, new backgrounds and native voice chat would alleviate these stability issues.
Re: Review: DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power - A Kid-Friendly Alternative To Grimdark DC
"Comments need more stability."
It can be entertaining at times, but overall the comments started pretty dull and didn't seem to really open up at all throughout the entire article. It could have used more positive replies instead of the same cynical, snarky approach to things they don't enjoy. I'm giving the comments here a 6 out of 10.
Re: Random: 'Twice For Nintendo Switch' Twitter Trend Leaves News-Hungry Fans Disappointed
Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For June And July 2021
What's different on Yonder? Is it just a rerelease with different box art? I already have it physically from years ago. Such a good chill open world adventure game.
Re: Rumour: Switch Pro To Offer 'Surface-Style' Tabletop Flap, USB 3.0 And Ethernet Connectivity
@Trajan Only when it's facing the east.. on a Tuesday.. for one min.
Re: Review: SnowRunner - A Slow And Steady Off-Road Trucker
@Slowdive 2.6GB update. I checked for the update manually, it didn't prompt for any residual cart auto install.
Re: Nintendo Switch eShop Accounts Could Soon Display Personalised Game Suggestions
@nocdaes That's the good and bad side of sale weeks. Excitement to see what's on tap, the sadness when it takes like 45 minutes between the shovelware and the slow ajax loading.
Re: Review: SnowRunner - A Slow And Steady Off-Road Trucker
Re: Review: SnowRunner - A Slow And Steady Off-Road Trucker
Re: Nintendo Acknowledges Blue Switch Lite Colour Argument With Handy Comparison Video
Re: Review: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - RPG Action That Really Shows Its Age
Re: Review: Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - RPG Action That Really Shows Its Age
Re: Immortals Fenyx Rising Looks Like It's Getting A Demo, And It Might Be Coming To The Switch eShop
One accessibility feature
the game does is scaling your inventory menu from handheld to docked mode. It makes your icons larger in handheld.
The more I play it, the less I compare it to BotW. It's in the same ballpark as BotW, just different field. If you like ARPGs or action/adventure games.. try the demo.
Re: Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Is Coming To Switch With DLC Included
One of my favorite games from last generation! Now all they need to port over is MUA 1+2 and I'll be a happy camper after Diablo and Torchlight. Maybe sprinkle in some LotR War in the North and Sacred.
Re: EA Is Considering Bringing EA Play And "More Great Experiences" To Switch
Re: UK News Outlet Calls Animal Crossing's Nature Day "A Farce", Says It "Teaches Kids Toxic Lessons"
Re: You Can't Access Seasonal Events In Animal Crossing: New Horizons By Time Travelling
Re: Hey Nintendo, Can The Next Switch Update Look Something Like This Please?
Folders would be nice, a good way to separate favorites or better define digital and physical games at a quick glance. Xbox has a really good tiling system for groups. I do like how PS4 opens more info below when you go on a game.
Re: Poll: What Other Wii U Games Do You Want To See On Switch?
My hopes/dreams and picks would be: Wind Waker HD (really hoping!), Super Mario 3D World and Deus X: Human Revolution. While I'd thoroughly enjoy Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch.. and it's a type of game that would prosper on Switch, they're already bringing 1 over. I don't think they'd bring both over the same year.
Re: House Of The Dead 1 And 2 Are Coming To Switch
Try Mad Bullets (rail shooter) on Switch. It's simple and fun once you get the hang of it. We definitely need more on-rail games for Switch like the Wii days.
Re: You'll Be Able To Transfer Save Files Between Switch And Switch Lite, Eventually
Re: Darksiders Genesis Seemingly Leaked For Nintendo Switch
Re: Video: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 X-Men Trailer Reveals New Characters
Re: Review: Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package - The Next Best Thing To Grand Theft Auto On Switch?
Re: Review: Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package - The Next Best Thing To Grand Theft Auto On Switch?
Re: Check Out The Cosmic Protector Captain Marvel In The Latest Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Clip
Re: Nintendo Confirms It Has Unannounced Titles Set To Launch This Year, Delays Not Anticipated
Nintendo is terrible with news.. they're like a little kid with a secret. Stop teasing us with previews and just be direct with us.
Re: Review: DreamWorks Dragons: Dawn Of New Riders - A Light-Hearted Romp That's Perfect For Younger Players
Re: Review: Mages of Mystralia - A Colourful Spellcasting Adventure That Just Falls Short
Re: Success Of Nintendo's Mini Systems Made It "Perfect Timing" For SNK To Release Its Own Device
Re: It Turns Out Blizzard Won't Actually Be Adding Cross-Platform Play To Diablo III
Re: NES Games On Switch Playable For Up To Seven Days Without Internet Connection
Re: NES Games On Switch Playable For Up To Seven Days Without Internet Connection
Re: Zelda-Inspired Action Adventure Sikanda Is Making Its Way To The Switch
It looks promising. Very few things I dislike about this!
Re: Pokémon GO Had The Most Active Users In May Since Summer 2016
tbh, I haven't played this game since it's release back in 2016.. until like a week ago. Partially due to the upcoming Pokemon game, but also got a phone with a better battery. It's actually kind of fun. whowouldathunkit
Re: Nintendo Bans Online Services For Prominent Hacker's Switch Console
@SpaceboyScreams there's probably reasons why Nintendo has yet to give some things off the bat. Things take time to develop or have a check list of things that need to be accomplished prior. I don't trust hackers, because their egos make them sloppy. I'd much rather get updates from people that have been working on the console for years, than moonlight hackers. I find it ironic that a hacker gets blocked on a device. Nintendo knows more about the Switch than these hackers do.
Re: Nintendo Says 3DS Will Keep Being Sold Unless Switch Becomes A "One-Per-Person System"
Re: Nintendo Switch Version 5.0.2 Is Now Live
This firmware update DOES more than you think! I can now use my Mayflash F500 arcade fight stick in handheld/table top mode. Alls you need is a USB dongle and you're good to go.. docking not needed anymore.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
I think I'm wither going to continue playing Kirby SA or dust off Zeldy BotW. I've fallen back in love with Zeldy. Despite so many PS4, Xbone, Switch and 3DS games.. I keep it in rotation.
Re: Feature: It's Time to Vote for Your 2017 Nintendo Life Game of the Year Awards
You're missing Fire Emblem Warriors on the 3DS. It's such a fantastic game on either console!
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The Triumphant(?) Return
Re: Video: Here's How The Switch And New 3DS Versions Of Fire Emblem Warriors Compare To Each Other
Nintendo Switch version looks fantastic, but the New 3DS version is endearing in it's adorable cartoonish flavor. For that alone, I may get both versions!
