@NintendoWife Giving her a weak Side, was not a problem, but how it was presented and the point in the timeline. Imo it would have worked way better, if they had placed it before the first Metroid or immediately after.

From s gameplay I hate the linearity. Otherwise, if I ignore that it is a Metroid game, I think the game is good.

I loved the first one. I can't wait for the sequel.

Disclaimer, i would be fine with a cloud version for three. But for the older games, No way.

I got the same impression from the trailer. But technically it could also play between Firis und Lydie/Stelle. And I mean even totori and meruru appeared in rorona DX, so everything is possible;) I also would prefer a new setting, but I wouldn't mind a Fourth dusk game.

@Geobros what did you miss? In my opinion all open ends have been resolved in Firis/Lydie and Suelle?

I love atelier games and I really like Sophie. But i don't understand why this triology needs a fourth entry. The story was finished.

A new dusk game, a third ryza game or a completely new one would make way more sense to me.

Maybe they want to make up for the lackluster third game.

Well hopefully we will see Firis, she is my favorite character in that triology.

One of my biggest disappointment on switch. I don't know which problem i have with platinum games, but whenever i try one i get bored extremely fast.

I don't get the obsession with a switch pro. If Nintendo ever does one, it will only be marginally more powerful than the current one. Similar to the new Nintendo 3ds. I would prefer if they wait 1 or two years and release a true successor to the switch.

Still have to play this one.

I do not care for online play, but I'm looking forward to this remaster. I only played a little bit of the first one, but i enjoyed it greatly.

DLC is downloadable content. Like for example the new smash characters. But i doubt that crash will have that.

@Samwich90 Luckily the switch is region free again. I have multiple games from other regions which work fine. And importing with Amazon is s breeze, since they handle all the hassle.

The only possible problem is dlc, for dlc you would have to create a account in that region and download it using that (but it will work on the whole system, except account stuff like virtual currency ).

@Baobab I agree DLSS sounds extremely like an approach Nintendo would take. Iirc unteal engine also supports it natively now, which would also help Nintendo and partners to add it into upcoming games.

@NEStalgia Well, while a niche game, gravity rush is well liked by that niche. I kind of preferred the first part, but both were great. But i agree with your whole post.

I hope that the ps brand gets some small crash, similar to the early ps3 days to get Sony back on track.

Yeah the switch is currently stagnating, but at least for me it is still on track to become ny favorite console.

Luckily, many of the games which i enjoyed on ps are no longer exclusive and appear on pc (or switch) and without Sony censorship. And like you said Microsoft could make a move there, the early fail of the xbox one really propelled them forward.

@NEStalgia Yeah, games like gravity rush and the vast amount of Japanese mid tier games were the reason why i played so much on ps. With sonys current course i do not see much point in buying a ps5(if it were available).

I'd like to see more dlc. But I would prefer the announcement of a new game (or remake of the gc/wii fire emblems).

I'm surprised, I thought that Astral chain was already owned by Nintendo (at least partially). My guess would be that Nintendo would like to continue with the series while platinum does not have plans/time for that.

@Clyde_Radcliffe I think he is aware of that, but with random people, the game isn't really fun. This is also the reason why I wont get it.

One of my favorite switch games. I prefer it also to xbc1 and xbcx, but it had some dumb design decisions like the random blade system.

I have yet to play torna.

Liked the first one, will buy the second one, but probably not immediately.

But i second all the requests for tetris effects.

@HeadPirate yep you are completely right there. I also do not think that it is currently a viable option. But I'm hopeful that if the current atelier games and arland/dusk are selling well on switch and better than lydie & suelle it might happen.

A Shame that lydie & suelle was rather weak, I really liked the mysterious trilogy otherwise.

@JRRR92 I don't think so. The first fairly popular one in the west was Atelier Rorona 2010 for the ps3. Afterwards it has been basically a yearly release and the Atelier games gathered a niche audience. I think they are also not that popular in Japan, but at least fairly well known.

However, Ryza the protagonist of the current game(s) was extremely popular due to her design and the game itself was pretty good and easier to get into than the older titles. So Koei Tecmo got a whole lot of free advertisement due to Ryza's popularity.

@HeadPirate I have Lydie and Suelle on the Switch. And yes, the port is not great. I definitely wouldn't call it garbage, but I will agree that it extremely underwhelming.

However, take a look at Lulua and Ryza, both look and run substantially better. So I don't see why a Sophie or Firis port couldn't be done properly on the switch. And I think both are solid entries in the serie, and Sophie would be a good place to start.

@BenAV i think it would be nice if they port Sophie and firis to the switch. Especially Sophie is also quite beginner friendly in my opinion .

Nice to hear, I think I prefer the first Hyrule warriors, but age of calamity is pretty good as well.

@Diddy64 they were not a big deal, but on the other hand we have an overpriced lackluster compilation, so I can understand that people are annoyed.

@Einherjar i agree completely, the dlc route could be a win win for both Nintendo and the pokemon fans, if done correctly. But this first attempt was rather meh.

That is perfect, i have no idea what those games are about but i usually like sudas games. So i can try them before deciding if i want no more heroes 3.

@RR529 In my opinion it is the weakest in a long time. Not a bad game, but one with many problems.

However, all atelier games have a lot of character cutscenes, which I personally consider a strength of the series. However, lydie and suelle main story also had a bad pacing. Furthermore, it was the end of a triology, which means it had a lot of characters which most people knew and cared for, if you start with that i can imagine that this is more annoying.

@ShiroiTaka Start with the first ryza. It is pretty easy and pretty good. If you like it, feel free to dive in the older games. Rorona or dusk are both good. But most of them have a time limit system, which is not for everyone. Dusk has a darker setting.

If you have a ps4, Sophie is also nice for beginners.

I hope it does include the characters from the previous Hyrule Warriors for post game stuff. Otherwise it would have a pretty small cast for a warriors game.

Thanks for mentioning that feature. I have pretty bad eyes and I was not aware of that.

This problem also plagues other console I do not understand why.

The best one for me is generations, which unfortunately did not make it to a nintendo system. After that colors.

I still don't get the hype for adventure 2.while the sonic and shadow stages were great the other two third of the game were meh at best.

@Octane I had problems with the mission yesterday and found that information online after I was having trouble controlling the pink one (and being too slow with the others). I tried it and got both time shines on first try afterwards with the green one. Of course I didn't measure the speed, but I did not notice a speed difference between pink and green holding forward.

They have the same max speed. The pink one is always max speed. While for the green you have to press forward. So you can easily get all 3 shines with the green blooper.

@Agramonte To be fair being a sports fan is in general a bad idea while EA is in charge The offerings on other platforms are just less atrocious.

Never owned a GameCube, so I will start with sunshine. However, I would have preferred a proper remake of one of the three game instead of that port collection.

While 2020 is the weakest switch year for me ( I'm not into animals crossing) at least for now we still have half a year left.

I would vote for basically every wii u year. With the exceptions of some pearls, my wii u was a basically a dust collector, while the switch put my ps4 on the reserve bank.

Ryza was great but i do not like that she is the main character again. I'm still looking forward to it. Lulua and ryza were a step in the right direction after the previous atelier games were not so great.

@gcunit Maybe, but it is also entirely possible that he just wanted to do something different.

I nearly back one project every month on KS and I can say, that at least for the boardgame sector, it is fine to do so.

And basically every project clearly communicates if it is EU-, UK, USA, etc shipping friendly. So, if here unexpected VAT costs were applied, that means either:
1) It wasn't communicated by the campaing
2) The shipping company messed up
3) The project leader did some shady stuff, to save on VAT. (maybe not on purpose)

You may like or dislike KS as a platform, and especially for video games I have grown especially wary on them. But this is not the fault of the platform (or of the backer unless it was clearly stated on the campaign page)

@ALinkttPresent really? Lol. As a kid mario 2 was the only one i could beat. I found it to be way easier than 1 or three. Shows how different people are.

@Moroboshi876 not only the missing map. Those corridors looks so damn identical. It aged really badly. But it spawned a great series. Luckily we have zero mission.

@Heavyarms55 yes. That is one of the reason i was angry. I'm still running a 500 gb ps4. Since I prefer niche games which are usually on the small side.

@Severian yes that sounds very similar. I think it was only done on a small scale (or many people had that promotion option disabled). Still i hope that this stays an exception. I would have no problem with an occasional pop-up asking if I want to try something. But clocking my disk space and bandwidth w/o asking is a no go.

@Heavyarms55 the ps4 has an option (or had,) to enable promotions. It is on per default (or at least was). One day i had a copy of destiny 2 on my ps4. It turned out to be a demo auto pushed as a promotion due to this option, after some quick research. But my first instinct was that something did go wrong with my account. Not a big deal and easy to turn off. But that is some kind of marketing I despise. Most interesting, i had the ps4 multiple years at that point, and that was the first time it happened (and to the people i found online who had the same problem).

@Heavyarms55 i'm curious about that too. I would guess they can, but Nintendo has every right to delete it.

I hope ut can stay since i find it quite a cool idea. And it ssn't offensive since the user has to deliberately visit that island.

Not like the auto download bs Sony has done on the ps4.
