I recently discovered that I bought all seven of the Picross e games for 3DS a while back which I assume was in a drunken state, so I’ll be chipping away at the first one of those. I’m also going to unwrap Akai Katana Shin for Switch for the first time today. I just finished up Omori a couple of days ago, but I haven’t decided which RPG to get into next. I’m leaning towards either Atelier Sophie or Chrono Cross, but that could completely change to something a bit shorter like Aragami 2 or Kamiwaza.
@PinderSchloss It’s really easy once it’s set up, and you never really have to switch between accounts When you click on the eshop your icons with your regular account and Japanese account will pop up and you just have to choose one to access its respective eshop. You can still play the Japanese games with your regular account.
I had a good time with the first Blossom Tales, so I'll get this one too once it gets to a 50% discount. These Zelda homages are usually nice to knockout in a few play sessions.
@NeonPizza I found Kaze fun enough for what it is, but it was very cookie cutter. I had a Donkey Kong Country itch that it didn't quite fully scratch. It was also really short, so at least it didn't overstay its welcome.
@Teksetter Yes, it would change if you switched your system language to Japanese. If you ever see 英語 in the languages section of a game on the Japan eshop the game has English.
@antisumo haha Yeah, EA's a wild card for sure. I loved Power Pros on Wii too. I didn't play the DS one; I should try to find that. The Pro Yakyuu Famista series has had a couple of Switch releases in Japan as well, and I like those ones even more than Power Pros. Both of them have had a little RPG included with them too which were fun. That series is the original RBI Baseball before it became the abomination it is today. I'd love to see Bandai Namco do an MLB game in Famista style. They can call it something other than RBI Baseball. These are all just fantasies, but in a perfect world we'd have too many great baseball games than to know what to do with.
@antisumo Understandable. The Show wasn't enough to knock me off of Pro Baseball Spirits 2021. Especially when a free update for the 2022 NPB season was released.
The Japanese only release of Pro Baseball Spirits 2021/2022 is by far my favourite sports game on Switch. It would be nice to see Konami make an MLB game with the same engine because it plays much better than The Show 22. Both Pro Yakyuu Famista games are really good too.
I’m playing through Killer 7 on GameCube for the first time this weekend. I’m nearing the end of the second target and it’s fun so far. Other than that Professional Baseball Spirits 2022, 80’s Overdrive which I grabbed on a sale last night, and I’ll give the Mario Strikers test a go as well.
@swoose It's NPB licensed, but it also has a story mode. You can order the physical copy or get it on the Japanese eshop, but just know there will be absolutely no English in the game besides the word "eBaseball". I'm guessing it won't get a western release unless Konami attains the MLB license which I doubt will happen. It would sure be great if they did though! I'd also like to see Bandai Namco release Pro Yakyuu Famista (the original RBI Baseball series) with an MLB license.
@LinktotheFuture Yes, it's the same series. It just hasn't stopped in Japan; whereas, the west has only received it a few times.
Professional Baseball Spirits 2021, Chocobo GP and something else from the backlog I haven’t decided on yet once I finish Dodgeball Academia later on today. I’m thinking either Treasures of the Aegean or Atelier Escha and Logy.
I was going to get The Show, but then Konami went and gave a free update for the 2022 season in Pro Baseball Spirits 2021. Updated rosters/players, added Ichiro as a legendary player, and daily scenario challenges for every team are back. I'll just stick with that for this season.
@javiboy2 I get that. I just thought the board game was a unique thing. An art book for a game like this would be awesome. I really enjoyed my playthrough. Hopefully they have fixed the crashes. I had to learn the hard way to constantly save my progress.
I bought my pass through the Japanese eshop and it went live about an hour ago. I just played through everything and my favourite course has gotta be Ninja Hideaway because of all the alternate routes. It sure is nice to play some different tracks with the MK8 engine after all of these years.
Played through Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion yesterday. It’s fun but very short and quite easy.
Revisiting the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection today, specifically Σ2, and I like it so far.
I’ll probably get into some Super Castlevania IV at some point as well.
I started Justice for All for the first time yesterday, and I'm enjoying it after the first two trials. I'd like to see another collection with the other games come out for sure!

@thom1414 The Arcade Archives releases on this list are always a week behind for some reason.
Re: Talking Point: What Is The Most Frustrated You've Ever Been With A Video Game?
Spinch for Nintendo Switch. Precision platforming mixed with frame rate stuttering is not a good recipe. Cool game otherwise though.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Anime Games
I had a great time with Attack on Titan 2. Fairy Tail was also a lot of fun.

@mereel It’s available on the Japanese eshop. Playing it now.
Re: Video: What Was Your First Video Game Ever?
Seaquest for Atari 2600. It still holds up today, in my opinion.

The Klonoa demo has been available for weeks now.

Re: Little League World Series Baseball 2022 To Hit A A Home Run On Switch
@antisumo Yeah, also understandable. I’m kinda hoping EA gets the MLB License, so the team who made Super Mega Baseball can release an MLB game.
Re: The Best Cat Games On Nintendo Switch
Aqua Kitty UDX is missing! Fun little shoot em' up.

Looks like it could be a decent arcade baseball game.

Infernax, Andro Dunos II, Gal Gun Returns, and, as always, Pro Baseball Spirits 2021.
