Re: Overwatch Producer Discusses The Possibility Of Bringing The Game To Switch

rowanposting

As someone who has about 500+ total hours put into Overwatch (estimated from my own personal experience), and has bought the game on the PS4 and PC, I would gladly buy the game again on the Switch, despite my dislike for FPS games on consoles. It would also be a smart idea, business-wise. The Switch is pretty big right now, and to be able to play the game in public without needing a laptop would be really cool. That idea alone would easily sell copies.

Re: Funimation Really Wants Goku To Join The Roster In Super Smash Bros

rowanposting

It'll never happen, but I would so be down for Goku appearing in Smash. He's appeared in more video games than most of the Smash roster, his inclusion would basically mean that anyone could get in allowing for way more potential than ever before, it would bring in a metric crapton of players, oh and to kill off the argument that "he'd be too OP"...by that logic, Mewtwo, Palutena, and Ike should be at the top of top tier and dominating the rest of the cast. The only issue I see with Goku getting in the game is licensing issues. Does Nintendo want to go through the hell of trying to convince Toei Animation (who actually has the rights to Goku and Dragon Ball, not Funimation, they only have rights to the dub) why he should be in Smash Bros.? Probably not.

Re: Feature: These Five Switch Accessories Are Too Stupid to be True

rowanposting

@MegaMari0 Well, either way, Damo is supposed to be a professional. But from what I've seen, he's acting more like a professional douchebag. If I'm wrong, feel free to tell me, but this was my point from the beginning. Do I agree with AlternateButtons' criticism? No, quite the opposite actually. But all Damo had to do from the beginning was say why he disagrees with Alternate's argument. Instead he immediately resorts to attacking his sub count which is something that a snobby celebrity/Youtuber would do if someone disagrees with them. If he focused on the argument at hand from the very beginning, I'm pretty sure most of this (if not all of this) could've been avoided.

Re: Feature: These Five Switch Accessories Are Too Stupid to be True

rowanposting

@Damo Outright dismissing someone's opinion because of their sub count on Youtube is one of the most immature and dumb ways to argue against anyone. Not exactly defending @AlternateButtons either, but imagine if they had 1 million subs and he said the exact same thing. What would your response be then? I'm pretty confident that it wouldn't be "lol who are you" and instead it would be actually trying to find a hole in their argument and using said holes against them. But nah mate, his argument is automatically irrelevant because of his sub count.

Re: Nintendo of America Issues Takedown Request on AM2R, Ending the Project

rowanposting

It's a damn shame, but Nintendo had every right to do this. There are still mirror sites and people with the game who are willing to give duplicate downloads to others, so if you want the game that badly, there are still ways to download it. AM2R definitely took effort to make, and it was in development for 10 Years as well, but I'm sure the developer knew of this outcome from the start. It's quite possible he had fun making and releasing AM2R to the masses. But again, Nintendo had the right to do this. It isn't just something Nintendo does, either. Look at Square Enix and Chrono Resurrection, for example.

Re: Gallery: Take a Closer Look at the Pokémon Sun and Moon Box Art and Starter Pokémon

rowanposting

Out of the Starters, as of the moment I only really like Litten. Hopefully when it comes time to announce who they are, the evolutions for Popplio and Rowlet look nice. But for now, Litten is currently my favorite looking starter.

As for the Legendaries, they look like Digimon. Not complaining, though. These are a bit weird looking, but they look kinda cool. I was going to get Moon, and while I prefer Sun's mascot legendary, I think I'll still get Moon.

Re: Reaction: Nintendo Shakes Up E3 With No NX and a Focus on Legend of Zelda

rowanposting

@Joestar- Yeah. Nintendo makes some really enjoyable games. I grew up with a GameCube and a PS2 and found myself enjoying the Gamecube's games more (PS2 has some fun games as well but that's besides the point). But Nintendo has screwed up enough times in my eyes and bad enough on many occasions to the point where it's no wonder that Sony and Microsoft keep destroying Nintendo year after year when it comes to sales.

Re: International Game Developers Association Issues Critical Statement Over Nintendo and Alison Rapp

rowanposting

@Utena-mobile Good point. However, it was still against company policy. Her second job was an erotic photo shoot, no less, and I'm pretty sure that was the kicker there. Nintendo nowadays tries to keep a family friendly image, for the most part. If they did catch wind that one of their higher ups was okay with child pornography, that already should've raised a lot of red flags. However, the fact that she not only violated company policy, she also did an erotic photo shoot, which involves rather lewd things, and generally not something that's family friendly...yeah, I feel like that was the kicker. Regardless of why she was fired, I'm still glad she is gone.

Re: International Game Developers Association Issues Critical Statement Over Nintendo and Alison Rapp

rowanposting

Just gonna leave my simple two cents here. No one probably cares, but it's worth a shot.

So, as we've seen, Ms. Rapp is indeed a supporter of child pornography. That alone is enough to make me okay with the fact that she was fired. She also had a second job, which is a violation of Nintendo's internal policy. So you decided to take a second job, despite knowing that if Nintendo finds out that you have a second job (which they did), you would get fired. Brilliant. Just brilliant. I would like to give Ms. Rapp a round of applause for being a sane and smart human being.

Re: Competitive Super Smash Bros. Scene in Spain Prepares to Ban Bayonetta

rowanposting

I must agree that what Bayonetta is capable of is stupid. However, I feel it's a little too early for a ban. Give it more time, 6 months in and everyone's stance on Bayonetta is the same? Then a ban would probably be necessary. Year in, definitely. However, it's only been 1-2 months since Bayonetta has been added to the game. Give the character more time.

Re: Debut Pokémon Sun and Moon Footage is Expected on 3rd April

rowanposting

@Megumi I don't know either! But still, why have a fake trailer when you have 10 SECONDS of fake footage!

Real talk tho, most likely not gonna even bother if viewable outside of Japan because it'll most likely just be 10 seconds of footage again along with some insane commercials and the show itself. I really hope I'm wrong, but sadly that's how it looks, going by past events.

Re: Nintendo Warns It'll Block Rule Breaker's Access to Super Mario Maker's Online Features

rowanposting

Rule 1 would be fine. Keyword: would. I don't see a problem with asking a few times for stars. But when it gets to harassing other users for stars or something like that, that's when it should be bannable.
Rule 2 is straight up BS. Nintendo might as well say "Hey kiddies, guess what, if you accidentally discover a glitch, your copy of Super Mario Maker is now pretty much screwed! F*** you, we have your money!" This will also affect speedrunners as well, as others have said, because much of the speedrunning community exploits glitches. Also, Nintendo, if you hate people using glitches so much, then why don'tcha, y'know...try and fix them? I dunno...just an idea.
Rule 3 is understandable, though.

Re: Konami and Capcom Are Bringing Some SNES Classics to New 3DS

rowanposting

I would like to see the 2 FE games on NA/EU VC. Even if Genealogy of the Holy War would definitely get censored, and Mystery of The Emblem would likely be censored (dunno much about that game - I've only played like 10 minutes of that), I'd still buy them if I had money.

Fire Emblem aside, I would love to also have Super Street Fighter II. Although, that's a likely release on NA/EU VC because at this point, Street Fighter is basically modern Capcom's biggest main franchise.
