Re: Review: Mother Russia Bleeds - A Tepid Beat 'Em Up That's Big On Gore But Low On Gratification

pizzanuggs

Coming from someone who found Double Dragon Neo & Wulverblade to both be very boring and regretful purchases.....I absolutely LOVE Mother Russia Bleeds. Love the boss fights.

I only play single player I'll mention (none of my friends like beat em ups!)

I found the combat to be very satisfying and really appreciate the arena levels (I find many beat em ups don't offer other modes beyond the main game so its a nice addition)

If you dig jumping into violent video games just for sake of grotesque and absurd HotLine Miami esque gore, this will certainly scratch an itch as well.

Re: Soapbox: Don't Listen To The Pokémon: Let’s Go Haters - The Game Has Definitely Found Its Audience

pizzanuggs

It can be fun to hate things, but i don't get why folks get so aggressive. I was among those disappointed that the new pokemon game this year was a thing I'm not interested in but...that's it. Disappointed subsided. Besides Nintendo already said they're making a traditional pokemon installment anyway. Making Pokemon Ranger and Pokemon Dash didn't ruin the franchise....

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

pizzanuggs

@Ludovsky yeah!

I mean...whats the difference between a 4.5 and 6?

Is one really better? Maybe if I like the genre more the 4.5 will be better...

Scored reviews in most readers minds seems to break down like this:
0-6.0 Not reccommend
7.0 Bad game
8.0 Dissappointing but Fine
9.0 Really good Game
10.0 Greatest game of all time or another damn GTA

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

pizzanuggs

Scores end up being too confusing and mostly just become ammo for the worst of comment ready review complainers.

I dig when sites do a simple "Reccommended", "Avoid", " Buy it now!"

Then read the article to see why they came to that conclusion.

Too often i see reviewers give drastically different review scores for games that they spoke on almost exactly the same way

Re: Crazy Justice Brings Battle Royale Warfare To Switch On 13th June

pizzanuggs

@Pablo17 I checked out the summary info in the Youtube Video.

"Who's going to #e3 ? Hands up! 😱 #CrazyJustice Cross-
Play feature will be playable on #E32018 at #TheMIX on
June 13😍"
The game isn't releasing on June 13th. It is playable at this "The Mix" thing at E3, which are the logos at the end of the video.
NintendoLife didn't really check the validity of this article.

Hope that clears up the confusion!

Re: Review: Happy Birthdays (Switch)

pizzanuggs

Been very excited for this game. Evolution themed games will always grab my attention and I was digging the demo. I do get the feeling that this is one of those niche games that will likely drop in price swiftly over the next month or two so I'll probably wait for that to happen.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?

pizzanuggs

Skyrim Switch. Wanna finally get them last two Aetherium Shards. 150 hours in on my Switch version, and that's after playing a total of 120 hours on xbox360 version. This is the first time i'm doing this particular quest.
This game is so huge and has so much value it's no wonder they keep releasing it.

Re: Soapbox: Let's Give Nintendo Switch Online A Chance Before We Throw It To The Wolves

Stixming point is starting off with 20 nes for 20 bucks is pretty groovy. I want them. Dont need em but thatll be gran all the same.

Dont get the conplaints. Dont know why people expect Nintendo to ever do anything comparatively to Sony and Microsoft.

A constant slew of nes games is cool.

As far as voice chat goes im really glad Nintendo makes this so hard tp use. I cant stand playing any online game that encourages chat. Nothing but racists playing online and always make that clear. That made me stop plugging in my headphones when playing COD on xbox360.

Re: Reaction: What are Your Thoughts on Nintendo Switch Online?

pizzanuggs

In a bitter sweet way im glad VC is dead. That whole shebang would stand in the way of all the recent indie success on the Switch. Why spend $15 on the indie dev take on a retro game style when you can pay $8 for the real deal?

Besides. Nintendos language still keeps the door open for stand alone retro releases/updates. Lookin at you gamecube.

Re: Review: Jotun: Valhalla Edition (Switch eShop)

pizzanuggs

I bought this game for the Wii U when that was new.

It's mediocre at best.
The graphics, look better in stills than in motion, it just as often looks like a cheap unity game the way some things animate.

And I found the combat and exploration to be beyond tedium.

Re: Death Road To Canada Delayed Following The Recent Attack In Toronto

@JHDK i agree America needs to mind its own business on a lot of global policies.
I certainly fail to see how the Paris Agreement penalizes America so harshly or why we should do the least possible in adressing climate issues

As far as reffering to ilegal immigrents as criminals i think folks like me get away from calli f them illegals cause it dehumanizes them. I get there are some bad folks out there that you legit have problems comin in but thats isnt the majority. I mean ive been called an illegal and forbidden from applying to an apartment cause i have a spanish name.
Normalizing trump style "tough talk" is complacency in that kinda racism.

I agree folks shouldnt exactly kick speakers out of town but if a community dont want you coming to them they have just as much freedom of speech to say I dont want you here.

Thanks for the exchange. Good luck in the elections to come.

Re: Review: Devious Dungeon (Switch eShop)

pizzanuggs

I loved this game on mobile.

I would actually enjoy having this on Switch, but I'd wait for a sale. Wouldn't wanna pay more than 2.99 for it.

This game was made by the same folks who made League of Evil which is a stellar Mobile Platformer...also now a switch title.

and to weirdos saying it is not a roguelike.....uhh Yeah it's pretty much a roguelike.

If you mean it in the same since like " New Found Glory isn't a Punk Rock Band" maybe I get you...but uh....come on now.

Re: The Zelda-Esque Decay Of Logos Is Headed For Switch This Autumn

pizzanuggs

cool trailer. But that's how I felt bout Mulaka when that was first announced for switch, which did not meet my expectations. This leaves me feeling similar.

Also from my perspective, If this article didn't tell me this was a Zelda style game I wouldn't have immediately thought that. Especially when there seemed to be no Puzzle displayed in that trailer...unless I missed it.

Re: The Flame In The Flood Is Getting A Physical Release On Switch

pizzanuggs

@SCAssassin yeah but if you print out your own cover and slap it on your shelf....itll be....1 of a kind.
Collect that business to!

But seriously yeah i getcha. If i had that kinda extra dough to throw around id consider some of these limited releases.
Id just expect the package to appear a little more premium at that price...like a manual!

Re: Smash-Style Brawler Rivals of Aether Is Headed To Switch

pizzanuggs

Whats the reasoning for Game Maker not being supported?
Is that a decision resulting from needing some sorta contract on its use?
What does the Switch need to actually do to support that engine?

Cause every Nintendo Gamer would clearly want all of the Game Maker games listed here...its kind of a no-brainer unless Nintendo wants the Vita to be the only place to play those games on the go...

Re: Review: Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King (Switch eShop)

pizzanuggs

Granted all views will be subjective and multiple writers do these reviews BUUT!

I always find it funny when a site reviews a game lauding it for something like "Cloning a Classic Game style" (Tiny Metal) then reviews another game and uses the same argument to suggest the game ain't doing enough to move the genre forward (this game now!)

Ya'll silly but I like ya all the same
