Rising Star Games is bringing Ground Shatter's RICO to Switch later this year.
The title - which stands for the “Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations” Act, an actual US federal law relating to criminal organisations - sees you kicking down doors in a host of procedurally generated levels.
Here's some PR:
The game’s title stands for “Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations” Act, a United States federal law relating to criminal organisations. But forget that! Just kick down doors, shoot bad guys, and exploit the element of surprise to gain the upper hand against overwhelming odds, in this cooperative multiplayer first person shooter. Partner up with a friend in local couch co-op or online, to blast through an ever-changing series of procedurally generated levels. Come back every day for daily challenges and, as you play, unlock weapons, weapon customisations, and new “traits”– gameplay affecting rewards that modify, enhance and dramatically alter your characters’ abilities.
RICO is an arcade-style, first-person shooter inspired by modern action cinema. In the game you and a friend play as a pair of loose-cannon police partners, given twenty-four hours to crack a case as part of an elite organised crime taskforce. Planning is tactical rather than strategic, players must react in the moment to shootouts as they unfurl, with additional extra time to assess the situation if they are able to surprise their adversaries. Ammo and enemies are plentiful, and combat is punchy and impactful, supported by an extensive destruction system that ensures every shot looks and feels great.
Gameplay features:
• Online co-op and offline split-screen play
• "Daily play" with online leaderboards
• Randomly generated cases, operations, and environments
• Unlockable weapons, traits, and mission types
• Compete against the clock to solve a case in 24 hours
RICO launches on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC this fall.

I interested. Never enough coop games and this seems cool.
I can certainly get on board for some cel-shaded mayhem. I'll have to keep an eye on this title.
Ooo! Nice! Lovin' that art style! (..and the song in the trailer! )
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one!
Looks like bloody fun!
Splitscreen?! Sold!
I'm digging the XIII art style they got going here. I'll keep this on my radar.
Sign me up!
i'm interested in getting this.
This looks pretty good and would you believe it, it's not a port. @SLIGEACH_EIRE will be a happy man?
Seeing this i kinda want borderlands on switch now
@NintendoFan4Lyf I thought of XIII too as well as Red Steel. It looks pretty good, hated the "music". "Procedurally generated levels." Hhhmm? Rising Star Games are a good publisher, so I trust their interest in this. I'll keep an eye on it.
You're a loose cannon, RICO, but you're a damn good co-op!
Procedurally generated fps? Interesting...
This will do nicely until the next Borderlands.
I enjoyed that video way too much 😝 Want it!
I will be getting this.
Came here to see the response from that guy who hates violence in games. What a let down.
Might check this out, seem like a Borderland kind of game.
This looks amazing. Depending on how it runs on switch, I'll probably get it.
Actually looks pretty dope. The name doesn't do it for me right off the bat tho..
Looks like a bit of fun. That animation is janky as hell though. What way are everyone's legs moving?
Looks great , will keep an eye oot
Not a fan of anything that glorifies Violent Police officers....but this looks like a wicked fun FPS.
I'm not a fan of rising star games, but this look good, need more offline split screen shooters for Switch
Great!
Now I wonder if UbiSoft would make a Red Steel 3 for Switch for no reason
Looks like school shooter training to me. Thumbs way down.
Yup, this is for me.
looks cool, very cool. Couple of things that worry me: the AI intelligence doesn't seem to be all there, could be just the trailer. Also small rooms with 5 AI's in it doesn't mean it'll be a good co-op as much as a who rambos in first. I guess for those with other consoles it'll be all about the price point. I want to see more!
Nice, finally a Switch FPS with splitscreen, day one purchase just for that.
It was really stupid not to include splitscreen in Payday 2.
The visuals also reminded me of XIII, but the gameplay here looks like it's a lot more fun.
If it doesn't get a physical release, most likely a pass for me; I'll wait for reviews, just in case it's amazing.
They had me at "split screen". :9
