Euro version wins by a large margin. The US cover is not terrible but lacks something while the JP cover looks something out a rejected movie poster.

They all look terrible in my opinion but having to select one my vote goes for the Japanese version since it's more elaborated overall.

Europe, no doubt. The US cover is bad in every aspect, beginning with the art assets used and ending with that idiotic title.

My vote goes for the European cover even though the art is terrible. Overall it's more composed than the Japanese version and more nostalgic to me as well. The US cover is plain rubbish and a clear work of laziness.

This time the EU cover art takes the cake! Yet... I kinda like the JP version, it's a weird but oddly amusing art style.

@darkswabber Marvel VS Capcom 2 on PS2 is currently priced at around 67€ (average) for the NTSC-U version and 35€ for PAL. Not really an expensive game compared to these values. Personally I don't own any of those games on the list (PAL territory here) but I happen to have Mega Man X2 on SNES which can fetch a nice 535€, more than the NTSC-U version.

As much as I like the European cover for its simplicity, my vote goes for the Japanese version.

NA wins this round for me. Uses the same artwork as Rondo of Blood on PCE and that's fine. The JP/EU artwork is too anime'ish for my liking.

Honestly this game looks like crap but being a Valken fan all around, I'll give it a shot when the price is right.

None of them are good but my vote goes to the European cover for nostalgia mostly.

Japan. I never liked the "angry" Kirby that is used in the US releases. I'd voted for the EU cover if it wasn't for that ugly bar in the bottom.

Even though I have a soft spot for the EU cover since that's the version I own, the US cover is by far the best of the three. The amount of action in that cover is outstanding and pretty much sums up what to expect of the game. The JP cover is... atrocious and funny at the same time.

Clear win for the US cover this time. The Japanese cover is interesting but it's lacking something while the PAL cover is terrible, that guy and that awkward pose just doesn't fit there. Oddly enough, some parts of Europe had the same exact cover art as the US and the name was Shadow Warriors - Ninja Gaiden.

Europe wins this round for me but I really enjoy the japanese title logo.

@aaronsullivan yes it's actually shinny and these Konami styled boxes stand out quite a bit among other games. I guess it was a good marketing choice back in the day so people could easily identify Konami (Palcom/Ultra Games) releases.

Definitely the US cover wins this round. The silver border is a hallmark of Konami covers back in those days and it doesn't look good but overall it's nostalgic.

Japan by a mile away! The western art is memorable for the 90's typical macho cheesyness present in almost all sorts of media from that era. The US cover is the worst of the bunch, they didn't even attempt to use the original logo opting for some common font.

Come on guys, there are better examples of boxart to compare than this.

I'm pretty sure "it still looks drab in places" as well.

All of them look like crap but my vote goes for Karnaaj Rally. Not only the name is stupid but the artwork, even if we're allowed to call it artwork, is baffling lazy and bad.

For a game that doesn't even has any Metal Gear in it, it's surprising to have one on the cover.

In this case, Europe, hands down.

I've stopped playing on PS4 after getting a crash on a bookshelf and I'm still waiting on the patch the supposedly fixes that among other bugs. It's a shame, I was enjoying it quite a lot and the game is quite good. I also hope that the Switch version gets fixed as well, it's mind numbingly how they botched it up so bad.

Europe, no question. I kinda like the PAL Wii version/PS2 variants as well.

I've lost more platinum points that I can remember...

So the Wii version is still the best. It was a missed opportunity here on the Switch.

So many awesome games on GB! Operation C, Mario Land 2, Link's Awakening, Belmont's Revenge, Final Fantasy Adventure, Wario Land, just to list a few... there are so many it's hard to come up with a fair list.
