Re: Saucy Tower Defence Title Duel Princess Marches To Switch Next Month

@Savage_Joe I appreciate your well thought out reply. Certainly with any movement, especially one as wide as what would be considered by many as “wokeism”, there will be a multitude of bad agents. I am not defending that. Being woke to me, for example, is the assertion of being actively anti-racist vs. just not being a racist.

Think about it this way: After 9/11 Muslims were being depicted as violent and a threat, not just to certain men, but everyone, when in reality the VAST majority are peacefully practicing people, like you or I. The vast majority of people we might consider “woke” are not about straight up male bashing, or absurd hyperbolic or conflated responses. They just believe for example in the ACTUAL (not whatever many media channels are pumping) dictionary definition of feminism for example.

Re: Nintendo FAQ Confirms That Switch OLED Joy-Cons Are The Same As Existing Controllers

Dang ppl are bashing this upgrade pretty hard. For me it took a really long time for the drift monsters to finally attack, and while bummed a little, for whatever reason it hasn’t tainted my love for the switch.

Maybe I’m one of those guys in a different reality that wouldn’t mind taking my DeLorean to the shop due to its poor build quality b/c I love the car so damn much 🤷‍♂️

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure, Called Sonic Rangers

Just a fun aside - It’s not just about games, it’s about how ppl prefer to play them. Many people now get just as excited for indies (which are typically on all major consoles) as first party games. My two most anticipated titles are HK Silksong and Cuphead DLC. The form and function of the Switch is no gimmick, it’s a massive selling point (as we all know), which is why many multisystem owners (including me) often prefer to purchase for Switch over another console. In brief, the Switch imho is hands down the best console I’ve ever played (been gaming for 30 years).

Nintendo leveraging its marquee character to emotionally manipulate its own buyer base is pretty gross. That said it’s not the end of the world. And honestly, in the grand scheme of things, doesn’t matter all that much. Welcome to capitalism folks.

On the video games front, indies have superseded Nintendo’s main IPs for quite some time now (with the exception of Breath of the Wild, of course).

When I think about the games that have truly reached epic levels of my appreciation, that will never be stained or tarnished by such aforementioned practices, there are 2 that come to mind: Cuphead and Hollow Knight. You know a game has fully embedded its way into your gamer heart when you want, and are genuinely excited, to do every single thing it has to offer : ).

Re: Review: Super Meat Boy Forever - A New Formula That Takes Away More Than It Adds

I’ve been having fun with it. Within level check points are generous, which helps because of course this game can be hard as balls (but you already knew that). I’m honestly surprised so many players seemed decently bummed, but then again I love platformers and runners so this one’s right up my alley. I feel a lot of effort was put into this game, so if you’re curious at all look it up on YouTube and see if it jives with you.

P.S. This was a really well-written review! Happy holidays all!
