My SNES collection (as a kid in the 90’s):
Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Yoshi’s Island, Mario All-Stars, Mario Paint, Mario RPG, DKC, DKC 2, DKC 3, Mickey Mouse Magical Quest, Mickey Mouse Circus Mystery, Lion King, Aladdin

I rented plenty of others. I miss those Disney games. My parents spent a lot of money on these, looking back on it.

I still haven’t bought it and don’t plan on it. I’m just going to get B/W and B/W2 and play some good Pokémon games instead. I can hold out for the “Eternal” versions of Sw/Sh next year or whenever. Gens 6-8 have been awful (in my opinion and based on watching footage of Gen8). I wish they’d go back to pixel art as the move to 3D has been very rough. Also, bring back Megas. They’re the only gimmick that’s worked well and was actually exciting.

The leakers helped me avoid this turd and saved me money and heartache. I appreciate them.

I want a game where I collect monsters, but instead of battling them, you are tasked with researching, studying, and photographing them along with their behavior, diet, habitat, etc. Maybe some breeding thrown in.

This is the game I’ve been waiting for since the Switch was announced. So close, yet so far away.

I love this game and want a sequel or expanded remake so very badly. Please.

I'd also accept DKCR3 or DKC 1-3 remakes. I just love me some DK.

I would love remakes of DKC 1-3 anytime, Nintendo.

@TheLightSpirit Red and Blue didn't hold my hand and had some pretty complex dungeons and puzzle solving. I beat the game multiple times and completed the dex sans Mew. Are kids just stupid these days?

@Anti-Matter What a high bar you’ve set for the biggest media franchise on the planet. This is part of why Gamefreak doesn’t put much effort in anymore.

Just give me MK9, Nintendo. I’m ready.

I think I’m just going to sit this game out and wait for “Eternal” Sword and Sheild. I’ll get Luigi instead.

@Mr_Muscle I don’t know - I’ve kind of just been spinning in place for a while now. This is a deep and difficult rut to climb out of. I’m having a hard time finding joy in anything anymore. But enough about me... Pokémon, huh?

@Mr_Muscle I run three hobby-based small businesses by myself (photo booth/photography/Etsy) so that takes up most of my time. I was pretty into rare plants (collecting/selling) for a while, but even that’s starting to lose its spark. Maybe I’m the problem. Everything is kind of depressing.

@Dragonslacker1 I’ve been on the edge of leaving the hobby for a while now. I’m just not happy with the way the industry is headed (especially Pokémon). There are still games here and there that give me some joy, but very few hold my attention more than an hour. Maybe I’m getting old. Maybe I’m really depressed. This Pokémon disappointment isn’t helping either way.

It pains me to say it, but I’m getting closer and closer to being done with the Pokémon franchise and when that happens I think I’m pretty much done with gaming for good. This is all just beyond disappointing.

Just what I can get for free with Mario Kart Tour for me.

I hope these characters come to the next console Mario Kart. I want character costume customization to be a thing in future releases. I also love the "Turbo" and "Reverse" type versions of the tracks. And the online weekly cups. I'm ready for MK9, already. Doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

I’m ready to be disappointed again. It’s like a tradition to be disappointed by Pokémon at this point. I absolutely hated Gen VII, especially. I hope these are at least better than those. It’s the hand-holding and incredibly tedious story. Ditch those and just let me have some freedom to explore and train.

I don’t understand why these rewards still exist.

Just give me the SNES Disney games, Capcom!

@ClassSonicSatAm It's not the same game. That's the point. The SNES one is the one I grew up with and have memories of. I am aware of Capcom's involvement.

Woah - we are only 45 days from Pokémon (I really hope it doesn’t disappoint like Sun/Moon did for me).

Also getting A Hat in Time and Super Lucky’s Tale this holiday season.

@YoshiAngemon I’d kill to play those Mickey Mouse Magical Quest SNES games again. All of these Capcom Disney games, really. Magical Quest 2 is one of my favorite platformers on the system (maybe just a tad behind DKC2 and Yoshi’s Island).

I prefer the SNES version of Aladdin and it’s super disappointing to not have it included here. Probably my biggest gaming letdown of the year.

I’ve barely noticed it, really. It’s definitely not as bad as some make it out to be in my opinion. I’m just enjoying it for what it is and I feel lucky to be living in a time when such a charming Zelda game is recreated.

@Skalgrim I’m just saying it obviously isn’t on the same level as a console game. This is something you waste time on your phone with when you have nothing better to play/do. I’m happy to have a fun little free (if you want it to be) MK game on my phone to keep me occupied now and then.

I don’t get the complainers. The game is easy to control and fun. It’s not meant to be MK9... it’s a mobile time waster.

Patiently waiting for Nintendo to send me back my joycons... pretty sure it’s been over 2 weeks now... I guess I should contact them.

I want the Oracle games remade next, personally.

I wish Nintendo would get my Joycons back to me soon... I want to play Zelda and Goose Game.

Now I want a Mario-themed Cooking Mana spin-off.

I love the GameCube and regret selling all my GameCube stuff nearly every single day. One of my biggest mistakes in life. I just want to play TTYD and Jungle Beat again. Long live the DK Bongos!

I’m glad it’s an actual game and not just a fitness experience like Wii Fit. Seems kind of fun, but I have neither the time nor space for such a thing at this time and I don’t want to but another gimmick controller.

If they are removing soft resetting it pretty much breaks the game for me and will likely be the final straw that breaks the camel’s back with my support for this franchise. Shiny hunting is my favorite part of all of Pokémon - especially soft resetting for shiny starters and legends. Incredibly disappointing if true.

I was burned by Labo.
I was burned by the Balance Board.
I was burned by the Wii Zapper.
Hell, I was even burned way back in the 80’s when I bought a ROB and it ended up utilizing 2 whole games. I still have it.

I’m not buying any more “unconventional” controllers. I appreciate the out-of-the-box thinking, but no thanks.

The only “unconventional” controllers I absolutely love? DK Bongos. Bring back my Bongos, Nintendo!

Edit to add that these peripherals just aren’t my thing. I think they are almost always half-baked and leave a sour taste in my mouth. If you like them, great. More power to ya.

All I want is Metal Gear Solid 1-4 on Switch so I can experience them portably. Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie HD would also be acceptable.

I’d also sell a kidney for a new Diddy Kong Racing, if we aren’t getting MK9 anytime soon.

I hope they bring the special items back for MK9 as well. I’m really wanting MK9 soon.
