@flapjackashley2 I did as well. A lot of them are used and/or displayed proudly. I had such high hopes for MyNintendo and they were dashed so very quickly.
MyNintendo is a horrible replacement for Club Nintendo. Club Nintendo for all its detractors actually offered decent stuff, including physical. Yeah codes were cumbersome but I don't even bother logging onto MyNintendo anymore though I keep hoping something decent comes along.
I'm getting one for my daughter for Christmas and after a fiasco with Gamestop regarding the Dual Pack I'm only going to get one of them. Which one is better, Sun or Moon?
I'm missing three; NSMB, Paper Mario, and NFS. I love this console though. I've got 65 retail games with another 25-30 on my want list. Nintendo may be done but I'm not.
Along with the SNES and Wii U it's my favorite console. Chibi-Robo and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy are missing though and they are two of my favorite games. I also went with Pikmin 1/2, Fire Emblem, and Luigi's Mansion but it's like picking a favorite child, extremely hard to do. For Japanese games Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Kuru Kuru Kururin are also very, very good. Lots of great games on this system.
Seriously though some of these look great, Shantae, Stardew Valley, and Hollow Knight. I'm mostly interested in the Wii U stuff, likely my last home based console, but might pick up a 3DS game or two, Gurumin.
Mostly though I want an announcement for a US based Nindies Nintendo Selects retail line.
I'm not buying anything, trip to WDW coming, but AA and Jotun sound great. I also just bought an external HD for my Wii so that's my gaming spend for the week.
Since used prices dropped recently to below the price of the Selects I picked Up Luigi's Mansion 2 and Lego City Undercover. I'm still looking for a used Wind Waker, I like the original artwork better.
Given a choice between the $450 Analog NT or $180 Nintendo AVS for essentially the came functionality it's really easy to see which is the better option. Add in a $60 NES Classic and I'm good to go.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE it's not even the same kind of fighter. This is more like a Tekken or Virtua Fighter being in 3D. Smash is a 2D fighter. Short of comparing roster sizes and bonuses there is nothing similar about them.
Edit - and I just saw your last comment which makes a lot more sense.
I haven't bought an EA game since the GameCube and those were the ones that featured Mario characters, SSX and NBA Street 3, plus Fight Night with Super Punch-Out.
As for current EA, they can in the immortal words of The Rock, take their game library, shine it up so it's nice and pretty, turn it sideways, and stick it straight up their candy asses.
@supercreeps stop them from doing what exactly? As long as they don't call it an NES or use any NES logos can do whatever they want. As mentioned the NES patents have run out and it's now open to doing exactly this sort of thing. I'm thankful a quality company who cares about the NES and its users was the one to market and sell this instead of someone just out to make money.
I'll be getting this. Four player and HDMI out of the box plus a permanent home for my Everdrive makes this a win. Even if it is about $35 more then I hoped to spend on it.
Star Wars Pinball for me but where are the rest of the tables on sale like the UK got? Why is it we sell more consoles but they get better things like Fatal Frame, 2 waves of Selects, SteamWorld and Fast Racing Neo on disc, and now all of these pinball sales. Grr...
I played 2.0 and it was all wonky and buggy. We put it away after not figuring out how to make things work properly and haven't touched it since. It's a shame since I love Disney characters but Marvel and Star Wars did nothing for me.
@StuOhQ it looks like a great piece of tech. I'm really excited about the four-player out of the box so I can play with my kids and don't need to hunt down a Satellite or Four Score. Plus they've already confirmed it plays great with the Everdrive, or Power Pak if you're so inclined. It's shaping up to be what people were wishing the NES mini was.
Also, I've heard from many people today who haven't touched a Nintendo console in a long time and are stoked to get this. This is being targeted towards those people. An impulse buy for those who had a NES as a kid and want to play it again. As well as the Nintedo collectors.
I'm still getting it. It'll likely be something less then $60 and the kids can play this. My only complaint is that we aren't getting more of their first party stuff.
@Bryon15 securing the licensed rights for those games would take this out of most people's price range. As it sits it's a fairly cheap prospect and a good Christmas/holiday gift. It's not perfect but it'll sell at the price point it's at now.
@Kirk - you mean more like the AVS that retroUSB is brining out this summer? New form factor, four player out of the box, HDMI, accepts all NES carts and flash carts.
This is not that and I'm ok with it since I'm getting that anyway. This will be great for my kids.
Yes, like everything else I'm sure it can and will be used by the criminal element, and already has. Parents be mindful of what your children are doing and where they are. Sure they could put a message on it but most will ignore it. Use common sense like in any other situation and 99 times out of 100 you'll be just fine.
A public service announcement is fine and this can be used to teach kids about dangers and what to do. However to label the app dangerous is disingenuous at best.
The health benefits are obvious. Anything that gets someone outside and socializing in a healthy productive way is a good thing. My daughter and I walked over 2 miles yesterday.
On the other hand the glitching and freezing plus the effect this game has on my phone's battery is not healthy for my mental attitude.
I'm surprised to hear people actually use the 3D. I never have it on so that doesn't bother me in the least. Game play people, game play. It should always be more important then 3D or a visual, unless it's horrible, and it sounds like this has it in spades.
@ArcadeLove exactly, all one needs to do is look at something like Game Informer to realize this is true. I don't Iike that magazine since they have a clear bias and want for Nintendo to fail. If challenged on it they'll say some nice fluffy words but then they're back on the attack again. Or read IGN or any other mainstream video game site. The bias is clear and has been for a very long time. They didn't want to support the Wii but had to when so many consoles were sold. Most of them didn't like the GameCube or N64 either going back even farther. If one didn't know better you'd think a media conglomerate with an axe to gore owned all of the media sites.
I liked Trace Memory more then Hotel Dusk but both were/are great. I haven't gotten to play the sequels yet but would like to at some point. I'm now looking forward to this.
Just tried going into the eShop so I could buy it and it's gone. I feel horrible for you sir and I hope you can fix whatever the problem is and bring it back.
Thankfully my daughters are not the COD/GTA type, nor would I let them be. They are kids and I don't need them being young adults at 13 and 9. They enjoy playing Nintendogs, Animal Crossing, Mario games, Smash Bros., etc... We're a DC, Nintendo, and Disney family and that works for us.
@RantingThespian ha, lol Thank you for the laugh. I want one of those!
No one truly knows what's coming or what to expect. All we can do right now is sit back and enjoy the previews, and lack of info, before the main event starts.
I picked up the SE yesterday and I'm not sure when I'll get to it but I wasn't going to pass, especially since it goes well with my Fates SE. I'm excited to dig into this and I like the fresh approach to both series.
I've got the Special Edition of TMS pre-ordered so as long as the new GameStop manager doesn't screw me over, he gave people's pre-ordered copies to others last time, I should be ok. After this purchase I'm boycotting the store since he drove all the great employees away.
There is too much I want coming or just released on retail in the past week to get anything on the eShop right now, nothing great there anyway.

Re: Poll: A Retro Quest - Were You Able to Buy a Super NES Classic Edition / SNES Mini?
I got three, one from three different stores. I kept one, sold one to a friend at cost, and I've offered the third to another friend at cost.
Re: Playtonic Gives Update On Yooka-Laylee For Switch
No, I'm not waiting for the Switch version. I'm waiting on the Wii U version. I'll apparently be waiting long after I'm dead.
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th May (North America)
@gortsi - any idea where one can get/pre-order Axiom Verge for the Wii U?
As for this week I'm getting Darksiders, FE plus Amiibo, and I'll download the FE DLC. I'm sad that I missed out on the LE version.
Re: Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Confirmed For May 23rd Release On Wii U
I'm very excited this is still happening. Thank you Nordic.
Does anyone think this will be a release to pre-order type situation?
Re: Retro-Bit Bringing Capcom-Themed Controllers And Jaleco Multi-Carts To Market This Year
I'm interested in those multi-carts and maybe even that Mega Man Controller, if it actually works on the SNES.

Re: Guide: The Top Nintendo Black Friday 2016 Deals in the US
I got Lego Jurassic World for $10 and a Sega Nomad for $75. I'm set for a while. Most BF sales did nothing for me though.

Re: Retro-Bit Generations Game List Contains Capcom, Irem And Data East Classics
Nah, between the NES Classic mini, the Nintendo AVS, and an Everdrive I'm set.
I owned an Anguna cart once upon a time. It's a homebrew but it's also a fun little Link to the Past like game.
Re: Out Now: Eight More Games Join the Nintendo Selects Range in North America

Re: Random: Nintendo Acknowledges Virtual Boy After Decades of Passive Denial
If These games come out on the 3DS I'm buying them all, immediately. It's the one Nintendo system I don't own so that would be welcomed.
Re: Nintendo Acquires Japanese Company JESNET To Gain Control Of Product Distribution
It's a potentially good use of the cash from the Mariners sale for the Japan business and might allow them to create additional leverage elsewhere.
If they're going to add any new subsidiaries I'd like to see them add Level-5 or Platinum Games.

That's too bad. I was really pulling for this to be a solid game. I'll pick it up if it ever gets a large sale.
Re: Review: Futuridium EP Deluxe (Wii U eShop)
I don't know if it's a must get since I'm sure it'll frustrate me but everything I've read about it screams that it's something I need to try out.
