@BTB20 That was only because they couldn't get away with calling it Legacy Edition when, in name only, it's the first version of the game. Now they can do what they did before and just update kits, squads and menu graphics and fart out a Legacy Edtion.
I used to love going into Game even just to look around. I remember the day the GBA released, me and a mate went down to the Game in Enfield town to buy one and a couple of games each.
Now, as people have said above, it's just merch, toys and other junk with very few physical games all at full RRP. Last time I was at Lakeside, I went in for old time's sake and it was just sad. It's a pretty big shop that used to be filled with physical games and other gaming products, now what little stuff they have is very spaced out.
@BIG3 No but I do change my region to buy games cheaper from other eShops, maybe that's it. Didn't do that until last year which may explain why I got the stats in 2021. Still don't understand why that might cause me to have no stats, I always change my region back to UK after purchasing so 99% of my play time would be on that.
For the second year in a row mine says: Unable to display content. Oh no! We don't see enough play data on this Nintendo Account to continue this experience.
Not sure why this is happening on my account. I played just as much this year and last year as I did 2 years ago when it showed the stats.
The user ratings of most of these games is quite low considering this is a 'Best Football Games' list! Doesn't say much for Super Soccer Blast and its extremely minor update that was sold as a whole new (ball)game that it couldn't even get on here! I bought the original when it came out and while it was a little fun at first, I got bored of it very quickly.
@JayJ I think it should be there too, it's almost certainly because they haven't reviewed it. I've only played the demo but I enjoyed it quite a bit. I see it's now on sale so I may have to pick it up.
@Lord That's exactly what I thought. They couldn't call the first game in what is in-name-only a new series Legacy Edition, but they now have the one that can be called Legacy Edition next year!
Even though I'm at work so won't be able to play it until later tonight after the kids are in bed, I can't help but keep refreshing the DPD Follow My Parcel page every 5 minutes to see the delivery progress!
I still have every console and game I ever bought. Even my old BBC Micro and Commodore Amiga with all the games are still boxed up in my parents loft, along with the inexplicably large boxes of loads of late 90s/early 00s PC games.
@epicgamner Similar to me, I knew the Pikmin games existed and that was about it. When I heard they were realtime strategy, I became even less interested. Then the Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo came out so I though 'what the hell, I'll give it a try'. I absolutely loved it and immediately bought the full game and played it until it was 100% complete. I'm looking forward to my pre-order of Pikmin 4 from Currys being delivered on Friday morning!
Looks like a lot of people aren't even reading the article with their "bit late to ask this" comments. The article does say that it's probably Nintendo gauging how it can approach the game's advertising to appeal to as many people in order to "actually sell" it.
@Anti-Matter Your should try the free demo of Pikmin 3 (which I think is still available). I had never played a Pikmin game (nor any other realtime strategy game) before Pikmin 3 came out. The demo was great at easing you into the game and I enjoyed it so much I immediately bought the full game and played it until it was 100% complete.
Dig was pretty good but Dig 2 was great, Heist I absolutely loved (I even chose a Heist sequel in their Twitter poll a while back asking what we'd like to see next). I was never interested in Quest as those types of games have always looked really boring to me but I picked it up in a sale and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Something new in the Steamworld universe would be great but I'd really love a sequel to Heist.
I stopped playing about 6 months ago when I finally completed the museum. Haven't loaded it up since, mostly because the amount of weeds all over the island now will stress me out.
@Spaghett Not sure saying Jennifer Hale is moving up in the world because she's now voicing Bayonetta is correct. She has nearly 500 VA credits to her name including several Star Wars projects and even Cinderella in Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Not sure this counts as a series seeing as there's only 2 games, but I played South Park: The Fractured But Whole first and thought it was great. Then I tried The Stick of Truth and it was clear early on that they'd made big improvements with FBW and it's definitely the superior game. I stopped played SOT about quarter way through.
@FishyS Same thing happens to me. I used to love playing FPS games then one day about 20 years ago I started feeling sick during a session on Kingpin Life of Crime, and since then I've not been able to play them. I tried again a few years later when Portal came out, trying short play sessions but that only worked for a bit.
That's the trailer for the first game (same name minus the 'America vs Europe' subtitle) that came out last June which I bought. It was ok if a little dull. Having checked out the actual trailer of the new one, it looks pretty much the same so as @gcunit says, it's probably just a cash grab in time for the Euros.
Loved this game back in the day, got it on launch day along with F-Zero. I was certain I was going to pick the EU cover without even needing to see the others but the AU/NZ is so much better.
@PlayedNSlayed I'm getting concerned about the length of the backlog, as well as the games I started but moved on before finishing but still intend to finish. BUT I think everything will have to move one place down the list now this is coming.
Keeping an eye on the live blog while I'm working, Monster Hunter: Yawn, Fitness Boxing: Yawn, Disgaea: Yawn, etc.
ORI: OMG!
Even though I thoroughly enjoyed the first one, I haven't bought Will Of The Wisps on Xbox One (mainly because the storage is full) and didn't expect to ever play it because Microsoft said it wouldn't be released on Switch. So I surprised myself at how excited I was to see the name pop up on the live bog.
@frabbit Completely agree. I have put it aside for now to play some other games and may go back to it if I run out of other games to play (which is unlikely!).
I had all 4 of the AKI/THQ games on N64 and loved them all. Being able to turn off TKO so you could continue doing Stone Cold Stunners to your half-dead opponent was great.
New Leaf was the first Animal Crossing game I played (properly, I tried Wild World briefly) and Space K.K. was the first K.K. Slider song I ever heard and to this day it's still my favourite.
@RupeeClock My thoughts exactly regarding the music. That's the kind of music they used to have in the old EA Fight Night games, not the kind of music to accompany a relaxing game of golf!

Yeah, it's only taken 6 and a half years. I wonder why they even bothered releasing it if people were going to lose interest so quickly!
