@Darlinfan The point stands, I believe. Of course apartheid was heinous (I'm from South Africa), but the concept applies, if you so argue. It could be said that not preserving these titles is unethical, but that there currently is no lawful way of doing so.

Also - what if, say, you have a physical copy of Super Fire Pro Wrestling, but want to play it on your laptop via emulation. How is that different from ripping a CD that you own?

Of course, providing it to the market outside creates all kinds of issues. But my point is, it is not nearly as black and white as some would have us believe.

People keep on conflating what is lawful and what is ethical. Apartheid was law, but sure as hell wasn't ethical. Is this?

@sleepinglion After playing both demos, that is exactly how I felt. I was so excited for it. It certainly looked the parted, but didn't feel it.

My biggest gripe with Smash is the price. It is way more expensive than other new releases.

Ja. So I live in South Africa. Internet is iffy at best. This is a first world future. It also means subscription, in stead of owning.

Not a fan, but not suprised. At least for something like Fifa this would make a lot of sense, because apart from roster updates, most year on year games are the mostly the same.

This is more of an ethics issue then. Legality does not equal ethical, and vice versa.

I lost all will to try this after last year's version broke me. I don't want The Journey, or graphical parity. But is a revamp of career mode and a slicker engine too much to ask for?

Really conflicted about this. I love football games, but last year's was a letdown compared to other versions. I am not too bothered about stuff like Ultimate Team (as long as I can play seasons, or career mode, I'm happy). But bloody hell, the game felt so much different than the other console versions.

Traded it in for Splatoon 2. Best decision ever. Seems this year I'll be picking up Pokémon Let's Go instead of this steaming tur...key.

I swear Nintendo could cure cancer and peeps would complain about it.
