Anyone know if 2K20 is as stingy about requiring a constant internet connection as 19? I absolutely loved 19’s gameplay and put a ton of hours into it, but if your connection cuts out for even a millisecond during a MyCareer game, you lose all your progress and have to start the entire game over again. You can’t even go in to sleep mode either. Very frustrating since I like to play 12 minute quarters to keep the stats realistic, but it’s always a bit of a gamble if you like to play on the go and your wi-fi isn’t absolutely perfect.

Want, but it’s Ubisoft, so it’ll be on sale before too long.

It’s great game. Just make sure you turn off all the assists (traction control, stability control, automatic steering/braking) otherwise the handling is horrible out of the box. Once you do that, you can drift like a champ. @spoondriver

People that take offense to this obviously don’t know much about Harada. I mean, c’mon, the guy wears a shirt that says “Don’t ask me for shit!”. He’s a modern day badass, plain and simple.

Just put all your resources into making a proper Marvel vs. Capcom to make up for that abomination you released a couple years ago.

Anyone who thinks this is going to play like Tony Hawk is going to be very disappointed. Yes, it’s a skateboarding game, but that’s pretty much where the similarities end. It’s much more realistic, and therefore much more similar to EA’s Skate series.

...and I’m very happy this is the case.

I really wish it had turn-based combat like the 2nd one does.

Honestly they’ve been doing this for awhile now. I called them a couple months ago since one of my joycons was drifting really bad, to the point that it wouldn’t even calibrate. I got my Switch for Christmas so I thought it was still under warranty, but the customer service rep told me the joycons only have a 90 day warranty and it would cost $45 to fix it. I barely had time to respond, and he quickly offered to give me 50% off the repair price. Again, I started to respond, but then he said that they valued me as a customer and wanted me to keep playing my Switch as much as possible, and that they’d just waive the repair fee and I only had to pay shipping. So Nintendo is being really cool about this.

Why didn’t they just give us the new Dead or Alive fighting game instead? I would’ve gladly paid $60 for that. This tho? No way.

A piece of crap? Good luck trying to play a fighting game with the directional buttons on a standard joycon. They are the real crappy thing in this discussion.

The d-pad is awesome. I use it on a daily basis for Street Fighter, BlazBlue, etc. so I don’t know why some people are saying the d-pad is not great quality because it truly is as fighting games are absolutely the best way to really put it to the test. Also, this is the ideal way to play the classic NES games of course.

A must-have for those who love playing classic fighting games and platformers on-the-go.

Yesterday I looked up youtube videos of Trials HD from 2009, and 10 years later it actually looks better in many ways than the Switch version of Trials Rising. Go check out the videos for yourself. The textures, lighting, shadows, etc. all look better in the game that came out a decade ago. Kinda sad.

In a lot of ways, Trials HD had better graphics than this switch port, better looking textures, lighting effects, and shadow quality for example...and that game came out 10 years ago in 2009...look up some old videos to see for yourself.

Meanwhile you guys already reviewed it and gave an 8/10. Gotta be honest, this doesn’t really inspire confidence in the reliability of your reviews...

I’m also a big SF fan and I’d recommend going for BlazBlue Central Fiction instead of this. It’s a more technical/complex and feels more like SF than this, plus has some of the best single player content I’ve seen in a fighting game (the Grim of Abyss mode is amazing).

Oddly, this site hasn’t review Central Fiction yet, but there are some other great reviews for the Switch version if you google it.

It’s a great game. I think it would’ve sold much better if they hadn’t tried to tack on the toy gimmick because the gameplay itself is quite fun.

Watched some gameplay on Youtube. Defintiely looks like the best MX game the Switch has seen by quite a margin. I’m certainly interested, but I’ll probably wait for it to go on sale.

If the gameplay is fun and fairly smooth, then the loading times won’t bother me as much. The gameplay is my main concern. Glad to hear it’s a nice improvement over the first.

This game has a 9/10 on Steam user reviews and is rather highly regarded so I’d take this review with a grain of salt.

Ape Out looks pretty gnarly.

Tried the demo and thought about buying it, but realized I might as well be playing ARMS since it’s actually fun and I get plenty of exercise playing that. Fitness boxing needs an actual boxing mode imo. Shadow boxing just isn’t worth the price tag to me, but I’m glad others are benefiting from it. I’ll reconsider if it ever gets a massive price drop tho.

Cautiously optimistic. Really want another good racing game on switch, but dunno if this is the dev team to make that happen. A Dirt Rally port would be preferable, but maybe these guys will come through. Time will tell.
