Mario kart

There's nothing quite like getting all your friends and family over for a good Mario Kart session in front of the big screen, especially if you throw some lovely snacks into the mix, but what do you do if you run out of places to sit? The answer: use a baseball stadium.

The footage below captures the moment when some players took the phrase "big screen" to a whole new level, hosting their very own Mario Kart game on the big screen at Kansas City Royals' Kauffman Stadium. We wouldn't be surprised if this is the largest display on which the game has even been played, and certainly serves as a great way to use the park during MLB's offseason.

Initially, many assumed that the game was set up by stadium staff members as a laugh, but the Kansas City Royals soon revealed that it was actually part of a Royals Associates fundraiser.

Still, if you're looking for a way to spice up your next Twitch stream, renting out an entire stadium could definitely be the way to go. Alternatively, we'd love to see fans getting to play the odd game or two for half time entertainment - we'd end up buying a ticket just to play on that screen!
