@Dave_Frear "having previously released on Wii and Wii U in its slower 50Hz edition - is now available on the handheld in its US 60Hz form. Hooray for correct speed gaming!"
Yes, but, as we have now the US version, there's no more the different EU translations included (french or other) so it's a good for a bad !
@riChchestM @MitchVogel
Easy : if you want Action-RPG : buy RF4, if you want Turn Based Fight-RPG, buy RTP:ASOS
Also, farming is a very big part of the game in RF4 (50% fighting, 50% farming) while its no more than 20 or 25% farming in Popolocrois.
I prefer Popolocrois because of its story like a tale while in RF4 the story is not that important.
You want to play RF4 because of its farming/crafting/fighting gameplay and you want to play Popolocrois because of its story (which is very well told by the way)and discovering its world.
To resume : RF4 is more a simulation game and Popolocrois is more a RPG.
@BakaKnight Yes, I totally agree with you. And I tend to buy too many games just to see my children enjoy playing with these new games or to play new experiences in coop with them (ie Affordable space adventures).
I bought 3 copies of this game last thursday and I can tell you that the controls have been very well adapted to the 3DS (see my comment in the forum for détails). I play in multiplayer with my 2 daughters and we already spent a lot of time playing it this week-end instead of Xenoblade X or Steamworld Heist !!!
It's a long time we've got some Renegade Kid games in EU so it would not be a big loss. I don't expect very much from Renegade Kid since they left EU behind...
@shani I said that I wanted to know if my daughter could play with this game so I just wanted to know if there was an option to change it to english.
By the way I started it yesterday and it's ok for me but I saw that a lot of puzzles (at least during the first half hour) could have had some french version or other language. I'm sure that with a little work they could have made it in other language.
@Sligeach Sorry to be french and not like you english people lucky to have your language chosen as international language (fortunately because I'm sure a lot of english people would be too lazy to learn another one)
@thesilverbrick @TimLatshaw @Ryu_Niiyama I do not agree because some people like me that are not english speaking native trust more Nintendolife than other game related website (written in our native language or not). And as we read review to buy games not only for us but for family, we'd like to know if our children will be able to play these kind of game.
Particularly this one that my daughter enjoy a lot but that I help finding words to build.
Do someone know if Year Walk will be released with multi langage translation (french) ? Because I tried it on PC but the english was too complex to understand for me.
Fortunately, we have PC emulator and all the roms we want ! Some "dump team" was right saying they must dump roms to make old game something everybody could access.
@Cypronia I agree with Josh_K, there could be a stamina bar which is depleted when you walk, work, etc... and which would fill in only when you sleep. And yes we need door and ladder ! Yeah, I really looking forward to playing with my children in this local multiplayer mode ! Hope it will be released soon !
@Cypronia Bought it and tried it 2 hours yesterday.
My impressions are : it's a really good surprise even if there are bugs to fix. Sounds and ambiance are well made. I'm really looking forward to playing it tonight. My advice is : keep improving it but stay in something enough different than minecraft. Put it your style !
Here are my request for now :
Even on "low", the "look speed" parameter is too fast for me. What about a bar to set it up like every other game. Or better, could we use the gyroscope like in Splatoon in the future ?
Some blocks are too easy to destroy bare hand (sand, leaves).
I think the distance at which you can break block is a little too long.
That all for now.
Thanks for this game and keep up the good work !
P.S : you should go to the forum to see some other impressions on your game and bugs that are found.
@Dawn-Shade Most of the game is in 2D. There is a 3D mode to unlock where you can explore your city in 3D but I haven't unlocked yet. I'm almost sure this mode use the stereoscopic 3D.
@CanisWolfred : No, I completed it without walkthrough and I was a child. I think it was because I didn't speak english by that time so as there was no dialog in Solstice, it was easier to complete than Battle of Olympus where a lot of hints was in the dialogs !
@CanisWolfred : He had me at "Also inspired by Soltice" But he lost me at "inspired by Battle of Olympus" I like both games but Battle of Olympus was way too difficult and It was one of few game I needed some walkthrough to finish it.
It's Reyn time ! Have it and 10H playthrough but I've only just arrived at Bionis Leg (with almost all of colony 9 side-quests and collectopaedia completed obviously).
@Varoennauraa But I wouldn't call Dwarf Fortress a roguelike. The main reason is that, in roguelikes like nethack, all of the time you need to think before doing something like a puzzle, you must choose a correct action among a lot of choice. So if it's realtime, you don't have time to think and it becomes more a "hack and slash" or gauntletlike where it's more to do with the skill than the reflexion !
Like Pahvi said, I wouldn't call that a roguelike as well.
The main feature of a roguelike is its turn-based actions/fights and another important feature is the many actions you can do at each turn.
I disagree with this review. I've just downloaded it and it's a clever enjoyable game. I'm having lot of fun in thinking how to do to pass every puzzle !
This "Super stable 3D" solved the biggest problem I had when I played in bus with my old system. That's really effective ! I love 3D so it's a big improvement for me. Congratulation M. Miyamoto !

@rjejr But you can't play in 4 players mode in these clones and there's apparently no survival mode in this one.
