I want to know where House of the Dead is! We got 2 and 3, but they skipped the original. 4 would be nice, too, but If they came out with a House of the Dead 1 and 4 Return, that would be weird. I welcome another Overkill, though
@JesusSaves No, it doesn't automatically force you to use it. In NSMBW, if you die a certain number of times, a "!" box shows up, which prompts the Super Guide. I don't understand the "controversy". if you don't want to use it, then don't. I think it's a fantastic idea. Especially for people who aren't very good at games, like little kids or new gamers, this can be very useful.
Oh, goodie, the Wii version is cel-shaded... Theres a difference between art-style and laziness, and far too often developers use cel-shading these days as the easy way out on the Wii.
I could never stand this game when it came out (the original, that is), but, for some reason, I was able to get through RE0, and I loved it. Maybe if I go back and try this one again now I'll like it.
I'll hold out for the Zelda 25th Anniversary Edition. I think I may just have to spring for the money for an extra Wii if that one ever happens, and hope it comes to America.
I agree with calpurnio. While I'd give it an 8, the controls were pretty bad. Spellcasting was especially annoying, and the action got really repetitive. On the other hand I thought the story in this game was really good, and I liked how unique many of the elements in this game were. That said, it still got old after a while. It didn't take long for me to get annoyed by constantly losing my sanity in the game.
Super Sweet! I've never heard the music in this game, but you can't beat free. and that's yet another game soundtrack to add to my collection. I think that makes it #116
When I first saw this I thought it was raising money for the development of the game, and I thought "Doesn't Nintendo have a few [dozen] Giant's Wallets full of Rupees already?"
I didn't even realize there are only 3 on-rails levels until I read this, because there is a large amount of flying, though I guess most of it is in all-range mode
Whoa! I forgot about this game... Sounds like another Duke Nukem Forever, to me: "We're doing stuff, we promise. We'll give you another update soon telling you we're still doing stuff" That's what I got from that quote.
Eh, maybe this review is a bit harsh, but its criticisms are not unwarranted. What I don't understand is the Adventures hate. That was a great game. If you were expecting a traditional Star Fox game going into it, you must have something wrong with your head. That was a great adventure game, Star Fox or not.
I think I'm one of the few people who thought Eternal Darkness was just "okay". I was kind of disappointed by it, especially its gameplay. The story was pretty good, but the gameplay was mostly annoying and repetitive.
haha, bro2dagrons, I don't think they gave Raimi NEARLY enough personality to be featured in any other games. The main characters of that story were really the Volks family, in my opinion. That's what I loved about Geist--it had a great story and some exciting elements that make it much more than your average FPS
Wow, I never thought I'd see a sequel to this game. And I still doubt we will, but I'd definitely welcome one. The first game was fantastic, and a welcome break from the normal, boring FPSs of today.
I don't know why they changed it either. I think I had heard that before, but I didn't realize it until I read this review. At first I thought it was a typo, or a nickname. There are people in the US named Wally, but I've never heard of anyone named Waldo, so I don't know why it was changed.
Then go for it, no one's stopping you. I didn't say it was bad. I just said it was nerdy. I think buying one of those things is definitely nerdier than being on a Nintendo news site, but there's no denying everyone here is a nerd.
I was wondering what happened to this. I heard about its announcement, and then it just disappeared. I've been waiting for this one. I always loved these games in the arcades.
Wow, I never knew that. I can't imagine the world of gaming today without Goldeneye. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. It seems 80% of today's games are shooters of some kind.
I'm not sure I'd pick this up even if I wasn't a musician; If I wanted to learn the piano, I'd at least try to get some kind of software that required me to press more than one key at a time.
As far as I know, High Voltage hasn't made anything amazing, but they do make some pretty solid games, so hopefully we'll see some good releases from them when the time comes.
A new Mario Paint would be awesome! And PLEASE give us an update to the composing software that was on Mario Paint. As a musician and a video game fan, that would be a dream come true. Also, I'd like to see if this would work for games not made for the tablet. Max and the Magic Marker in particular
Meh. That's why I have a Wii. I don't care about voice chat, and, frankly, I don't care about online. I'd much rather play splitscreen with my friends any day. Let's hope that holds up
@TrevorTheChan What? No, I'm not saying either of those. I'm saying the obvious strategy is to dumb everything down, add the light gun element, and probably make the game on rails to make it even easier to manage.
I remember playing this game when it first came out. I didn't think it was THAT bad. Of course, I was only 6, so I probably liked anything you gave me to play, no matter how bad.

I knew someone was going to say that.
Re: Review: Monopoly Streets (Wii)
I love Monopoly, but I already have Star Wars monopoly. It doesn't get much cooler than that.

I hope, if we do get a Zelda wii, it's green, instead of gold

Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion (GameCube)
I still haven't had a chance to really play this. That $15 used price tag is still a turn-off.
Re: The First Nintendo Console to Play DVDs was the NES
Wow, those directions on that site really were terrible
Re: Review: Goosebumps HorrorLand (Wii)
I loved the choose your own dare book in Horrorland. I reread that more times than I can count. Too bad they can't make a game that can capture that.

I wish they'd keep it simple. I'm really not a fan of today's online FPS craze. Or online in general, but it seems all FPSs are the same these days.
Re: Suda51 Talks About No More Heroes 3, 3DS Game Ideas and More
Suda 51 always brings unique things I've never expected to see out of a video game. I REALLY hope No More Heroes 3 is going to happen soon.

I don't really care about online. At all. But it doesn't seem like they're trying very hard to sell this thing on Wii.
Re: Even a Wii Remote or a DS Stylus Can Be a Sonic Device
Seriously? That's the nerdiest thing I've seen in a very long time.

How is that a "different strategy"? That's the obvious strategy for all war game Wii ports.
