Hey, I loved The Phantom Menace. Oh, and you guys need to change the name in the article. It's "Pearl Harbor" not "Pearl Harbour" While you Brits may spell the word "harbor" differently, Pearl Harbor is a proper noun.
bro2dragons is right. Sometimes the third may be the best in the series, which also makes me hesitant to buy, because I feel like I need to buy the first two before I play it, and I don't have the money to buy three games. Especially if I'm taking a gamble on games I've never played before.
I'm with Twilight Crow here. Those guys are awesome, but when I get back into the groove, I can pull of some crazy stuff on Super Mario World, which this seems to resemble.
I could swear someone posted this in the forums a few months ago...anyway, I'll say now what I did then: if this is the final version of this game, that's horrible. I'll be one of the first to say graphics don't matter, but sometimes you can go too far, when it looks like a PC game from 1999
actually, Stuffgamer, the "change of names" they're talking about is near the midpoint of the game, and when you're talking to one of the NPCs there's a serious typo for just one phrase, during which they get his name wrong in the quote. It's not a problem, but it's noticeable. The translation is a little funny, but it's not too hard to understand. The only problem is when you are asked a question, the answers are almost always "yes" or "no" and sometimes it's a little hard to figure out. It's kind of like "how is your day? yes or no"
7/10 is a pretty legitimate score for a game that has as many little quirks and flaws as this one, but to some (like me) that's what gives the game its personality and draws one into its unique world. For those who haven't played this game, it requires a certain degree of patience, but if you persevere, the end is a most rewarding outcome.
I'm with you there chunky_droid. And I am exploding with joy inside right now. I'm really glad he's not another one of those who hates his fans enough to jump ship just to find a bigger audience.
@bro2dragons I'm with you there. I have NO idea what's going on in this video either. I can't even tell what's happening most of the time, let alone its purpose.
@jpfan1989 I agree. I love the SNES controller, and the CC feels right, too. I use the Gamecube controller for N64 VC games, and all the games that don't feel right with the CC.
I was never too excited about this, but after seeing this video I really want this game. CURSE YOOOOUUUUU! That's another game to add to the ever-growing list.
True, Lady Gryphon, it didn't look nearly as bad as most minigame collections, but just the fact that it has 30 minigames makes me question its quality. 30 minigames is A LOT, which makes me think there are about 5 worth playing in the collection. The onscreen prompt that said "shaketh" made me laugh, though.
Okay, buffalobob, I agree with slapshot82. Obviously to you, games aren't art, because you obviously hate the ones that are very artistic, but games are art. The definition of art is very broad. I don't know what kinds of games you play but they're probably all on the bargain rack. As for Cammie, I find her to be extremely annoying and just difficult to listen to. I feel like she's giving a lecture to a five-year-old every time she's up there at E3.
If anyone here besides me has ever opened their controllers, for ALL of Nintendo's controllers, the inside looks the same. They have the same D-pad, the same-looking buttons and the same rubber...thingies underneath. crazy
That's true, Token Girl. i mean, at some point console sales have gotta drop because everyone already has the console. Seriously it seems like EVERYONE does. Girls I'd never expect are gamers have a Wii. At some point it's going to stop and at that point Nintendo needs to focus on giving us more good games like Super Smash Bros., rather than shoveling out party games and casual crap.
@JTCPingas09, YES. I will buy this the second it comes out on VC. I've been waiting for this. Nothing beats Super Mario World IMO, but this fully deserves the 10/10
I liked the structure of the city and everything else in NMH. I'm with Popyman and Machu. I like things like that. As annoying as it was that you had to do part-time jobs to make money to go to the next fight, it's a very old-school style of gaming. The balance between annoying crap and its payoff was perfect, and it brought me to actually start to like the annoying bits.
This game is perfect for the Wii. I just feel if you are going to move it to another system you're going to have to change the game's personality, or no one is going to buy it. I just think the games on each system have a personality, and to me this feels like Wii (teehee). Therefore, the people who are PS3 people or 360 people, probably wont even pay attention to this game unless the developers do something to "ruin" its original content. Also, this is kind of stupid to me: If it's the third in the series that they're continuing, they're expecting people to own more than one system in order to have played the previous two and to continue to play the upcoming titles, which is an ignorant pretense.
Just bought this game, and I only partly regret it (only because I should be saving money for this school year). The Wii controls for this game work great!

"The wait is over" is certainly right!
Re: We Pray - Coming To A Console Near You?
I REALLY hope no one actually thinks this is real. There's no way. Lonnie2Hottie is right. I noticed that too. There is no start button.

Re: Review: Chibi-Robo (GameCube)
I've wanted this for a while now, but it's kind of rare and a little expensive for a used game.

Holy crap, how many of these are they going to make? Nintendo knows how to milk its fans.

I liked this game a lot better than the original. I don't know why people didn't like it.

As soon as they announced FF was coming to VC, I knew that was the one.

Well, what I want to know is if the story makes any sense whatsoever in this one.
Re: Review: 1080° Avalanche (GameCube)
Wow, coincidentally, I had just bought this game two days ago, and it really deserves the rating.
Re: Review: Happy Holidays: Halloween (WiiWare)
Wow, I was expecting this one to get a 3 or something, but it's even worse than I thought. Good review. I like the unabashed sarcastic tone.
Re: Review: Final Fantasy (Virtual Console / NES)
Nice. I hope this is evidence of more FF games to be released soon on VC. And just in time for me to snag my free NES title.

Anyway, I think those colors are hideous. If I had any money, I'd have a black DSi
Re: Rare: Fate Was Against Us With Goldeneye
That's disappointing, but, seriously...who doesn't own the original game anyway?

Awesome. This site is definitely good enough that I was willing to put up with the periodic delays, but this makes something great even greater

This would work very well for Onslaught, methinks. But that price is quite a bit overkill...
