Splatterbot actually looks like a lot of fun

I could probably pick it up alongside silksong if it's cheap to play with my kids, especially because they're little and probably won't be too interested in silksong

@jfp hollow Knight's the type of game where it keeps getting better the more you go on

The beginning is really slow and kinda drab, and you probably have 1 too few movement abilities at the start, and it's hard to understand your character's motivation at the start (and there's an in-universe reason for this) but once the game opens up it's truly something to behold

That fight was so infuriating, after like the fourth or fifth loss I tried killing him but the game makes all your attacks miss because it's dark so you actually just have to spare him the intended way and get through all the maze sequences

Is there room for 2 of the joy con strap things in there?

Here's one: I bought Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair off the glowing review you guys gave it, but the load times were so excessive I put the game down after about two levels

That's not really a problem anymore, and now I'm having a great time with it.

The game looks pixely and low-res handheld now, but it's definitely a trade-off I'm willing to make

I don't understand the people saying 2015. Sure, it wasn't the greatest year but Mario Maker + Splatoon is way better than Pokken + Star Fox Zero. 2016 didn't even really have 3ds games come out. Just Pokemon, right?

I got the blood moon when I did Eventide. Fortunately, it was also thundering so I dispatched the last horde of monsters by Magnesis-ing my metal weapons over them.

I made a list of my top 10 GC games months ago, in order:

With an honorable mention in Melee which was great until everyone learned how to do physics exploits and took the fun out of it.

@Damo I had waited 4 minutes and didn't rack up any distance. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong? I have my player on 33+1/3. Should I have it on 45? I was worried it might go too fast and then I wouldn't get anything (like when you're driving).

I tried the record player the other day and again today upon reading this and I have to say, it doesn't work. People have suggested it but I don't think anyone has come out and said that it definitely works for them.
I even turned the app off and back on afterwards to see if it was updating weirdly but no dice. (And I'm not trying the ceiling fan.)

The woes of a busy collegiate student.

I still pull out RB1 for Wii occasionally when friends are over. And before the announcement, I had been mentioning to people how cool it'd be if RockBand or Guitar Hero were to be revived so this is really disappointing. Harmonix is dumb to think their audience isn't on Wii U. RockBand is a party game. Wii U has all the party games. I can't even think of any party games on XB1 or PS4 (Though I could be wrong.) so it might just be that they think they can sell more games if they make it online only or something like that. And more than half the fun of it is playing with other people there.

Next 3DS update: "We've removed the browser for system stability."

Although, aside from that step, I have everything else down.

I would love for Twitch Plays Pokemon to win. That wasn't just a meme or stupid video. It levels with well thought-out social commentary. Also, it spouted multiple funny memes on its own. So that's cool.

@Aneira Well, for some reason, many Smash players refuse to play a fun game unless they use a 13-year-old controller to do so. It's understandable on the competitive level where there's lots of wireless signals interfering with each other and input lag but. Other than that, I dunno.

My guess is Alph is just a costume for Olimar since:
1.) He didn't get a trailer like all the other officially announced newcomers thus far.
2.) He doesn't have his own character tab on smashbros.com

I've always wanted Stock Balls (like the kind from Subspace) to be a rare-spawning item, akin to the golden hammer. So I'm okay with what the item does.

It's just the fact that it's the Namco flag that bothers me.

Actually, I'm not so sure Chrom is in. He didn't get the splash image nor does he have a "Challenger Approaching" banner on the official Smash Bros. page. =

Not getting at least one of the new titles would be disappointing. I picked up AC4 recently on a whim as my first AC game to see what the big deal was and I'm really impressed so far. I would love to continue getting more AC games for my WiiU. (But not AC3 as I hear that it is the bad egg of the franchise's main series, regardless of what console it is on.)

Diddy was my Main last time around so this is great news for me!

I wanna get DKTF but I never played DKCReturns so I think i should do that first.

I'm not seeing ALttP in the eShop and it's scaring me.

I kinda liked being forced to use characters in Subspace. If not for that, I probably would have never figured out that I was really good with Diddy Kong.
