@Shiryu No, sir, it was not! I still marvel at home comfortable a SNES controller was after years of NES and Master System controller use. Or those horrible cheap joysticks with a ZX Spectrum.

As it should be! All firing is ZR, or RT on Xbox or R2 on PS4, you know, the trigger buttons?

@DrJoson I've got a feeling (well, hope?) that with the now filming Det. Pikachu movie that we will now see more of him. I mean, this game was from 2016 in Japan and now only gets a release, maybe as filler, or as a set up and tie in for the film

I'm really intrigued to see what the Pokemon Switch RPG will be like...

@DrJoson Just my two cents, sir. That's two games in two years, not like the monthly (or so) hits on Switch or the earlier years of the 3DS.

@QwertyQwerty I certainly hope not! I can't stand mobile gaming other than the odd bus journey finger games. Nothing beats traditional controls.

@XCWarrior Lol, I've been Nintendo since '87. I've owned a 3DS since launch, but since the Wii U was in decline and Switch was on the horizon, it was easy to see Nintendo was pulling resources internally to develop for that rather than the dial-it-in games released. I do get however that there has been some good games, just not consistently like the previous five years of it's lifespan.

But what do I know, not being a fan... ; )

A shame, but haven't most people moved on to the Switch now? I know I have, the 3DS has been a bit devoid of good games for the last couple of years.

This will be great to find new hidden gems.

@LUIGITORNADO Hey, I’d say that the overall quality and quantity of games for the Switch is great. No real shovelware, well except Troll and I.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE So... by your reckoning, indie games aren’t games? Or shouldn’t count as games as they are published digitally? 404 games is majorly impressive by any count, especially in the console’s first year.

As an aside, do you own a Switch? Or even like Nintendo, as all your comments are always negative, which is rather bizarre for a Nintendo site.
