It’s currently pretty glorious outside here in the UK, but this weekend will see me going from one delight to another from the stuffy, lonely heat of indoors. I find myself in the middle of several different games at the moment, squeezing ever closer towards that Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 100%, exploring the wonders of the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Donkey Kong Adventure DLC, and working my way through the adventure mode of Runbow.
Somehow, I’ll be trying to manage all these different tasks alongside a need to play some Fortnite, watching the World Cup and British F1 Grand Prix, and all those boring things like housework and acknowledging my loved ones.

This weekend will be about partying for me (I wish...) Anyway, there will be some competitive multiplayer going on in the form of Runbow and Ultra Space Battle Brawl. I don’t think I can stress enough how much I love Runbow, ever since I picked it up on a whim on the Wii U it quickly became a favourite for its frantic, varied game modes and the hilarious banter it generated. I was elated when I found out it was coming to Switch.
While the single-player platforming might not be as tight or fast as other titles, the amount of content available along with a really neat core mechanic will keep it on the party game rotation. Also, Ultra Space Battle Brawl is simple but ridiculously fun. Combining the pace and agility of a fighting game with a version of pong that’s drunk way too many energy drinks, USBB has a balance of accessibility and skill that I really like, and many a bracket will be formed (and friendships ended) whenever possible.

Went back to Skyrim, and I’m edging quite close to doing everything so I’ll probably put a few hours into that. Also just made it into the first division in FIFA 18 for the first time ever so I’ll no doubt play a few matches. Oh, and I’m stuck on Slippery Slope on Crash Bandicoot so I’ll probably give that a try and then rage quit in absolute disgust. I should really give Mario Tennis Aces a try too, seeing as it’s just sitting there in its plastic wrapping feeling sorry for itself. So. Many. Games!

I really fancy taking to the skies and testing my aerobatic skills this weekend, so I'll be swooping and loop-the-looping in the world of Air Mail. As someone who loves the Pilotwings series and is partial to some airborne adventures (hello, Skies of Fury DX), I'm looking forward to putting it through its aerial paces.
It's going to be another busy weekend in the Reseigh-Lincoln household, but hopefully, I'll find the time for a match or ten in, you guessed it, Paladins. Honestly, at this stage, I'm just obsessed. Someone needs to delete this game from my Switch before it consumes we whole.

So last week I purchased Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, but then was too busy to actually play the thing. I still haven’t but hopefully, I can get started this weekend if I can find a good chunk of free time. In other news I’ve been enjoying the Neo Geo Pocket-inspired Pocket Rumble and so will continue with a few fights of that in-between other things.
Currently, I favour going with a random pick as each character feels unique and is fun to play as, and the simple controls mean I don't have to memorise eight movesets. I have lost quite a few fights as Keiko however, so that may be my focus as I look to improve my fighting ability with her and her killer kitty.

After a brief stint in ARMS representing team Min-Min, I intend to spend a full three hours with the Octopath Traveler Prologue Demo. In case you’re wondering, I stopped playing Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA after discovering the upcoming 1.4 patch will bring in Japanese voice overs. I do not look forward to having two incredible JRPGs to play at the exact same time but can’t complain about these current times of plenty the Switch is living in. I do however have an itch I am unable to scratch… anyone else going absolutely bonkers with the lack of an official release date for Dark Souls: Remastered?

In Mike Piazza’s Strike Zone, you don’t hit normal home runs; you hit gargantuan, rocket-powered, stratospheric home runs! My wife and I have recorded a 978 footer in the Home Run Derby mode, and this weekend we’re determined to keep at it and learn if it’s possible to surpass 1,000 feet. That’s top priority in our lives. If we need breaks from crushing a baseball out to deep center, we’re going to, um... crush more baseballs out to deep center with the many other Nintendo 64 baseball games we own. We’re also on a Pokémon Puzzle League and Mario Golf kick, so those two will surely be in the rotation as well.

Rabbids DK and KIrby with the kids and maybe some Doom for daddy.
arms!
Wolfenstein 2 and Crash N.Sane Trilogy. I'm almost done with Warped. I'm actually playing both on PS4 though, not Switch.
Pocket Rumble, Wolfenstein and Splatoon 2.
I'm gonna focus on The wonderful 101... I need to have better ratings because I'd like to have everything in pure platinum as I did with Bayonetta 2 !
Mario and Rabbids main game
I’m traveling to France this week, so I’m mostly going to finish the side quests in Breath of the Wild that I haven’t completed (yes, I know I’m late) and also play some Splatoon 2 if the internet connection works there.
@G-Boy
Where exactly in France ?
@Cobalt Cannes.
@G-Boy
Lucky you are ! Good weather, beautiful landscapes and GREAT FOOD ! Bon voyage !
Just purchased Wolfenstein but realised I didn't really play Doom so I re-started it last night. Same thing happened with Hyrule/Fire Emblem Warriors. I've played 70 hours of FEW since HW came out (and only around 2 prior to that)
Same thing I do every weekend: try to take over the world. The world being Alrest. And by taking over I mean doing innumerable sidequests and incidentally progressing the main story in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Somewhere near the end of Chapter 8, so I'm getting closer...
Hollow Knight, Splatoon 2 and ARMs.
Hollow Knight, Splatoon 2, which I've just started and boy, it's even better than the first one on Wii U. My son was playing ARMS again yesterday, after a bit of a break from it, and it looked really fun.
At a wedding in the sunny countryside but will keep puzzling in Piczle lines dx on the train in between 50+ hours now - so much value
It’s coming home
ISS64 on the N64 four player heaven with boys before today’s England match, maybe get a bit of FIFA in there on the PS4 too.
@Splatmaster
FRANCE VS BELGIUM and ENGLAND VS CROATIA !
then
FRANCE VS ENGLAND for the final match ! Mark my words !
Not sure what's going on with the poll there, but I just remembered there's an ARMS Party Crash this weekend, so I'll be playing that as well as continuing some older games I've been playing including Fire Emblem (GBA) and Ace Attorney: Trials & Tribulations.
Fifa 18 on Switch because World Cup.
New Leaf on 3ds.
AC Origins on PS4...and it is gorgeous.
@Krull Epic game. And it only gets better as you progress.
Probably Minecraft mainly with some Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion thrown in. Oh; and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (but the superior Wii U version.)
@Cobalt Merci!
I’m coming back to Stardew Valley, and maybe some MK8 this weekend
Got sushi srrikers and it's great! An underrated gem. So that and hyrule warriors 91% on the twilight map!
Aside from mowing and tending to my muscadines, I’ll be hitting up Fortnite (only need 4 more tiers to get then next battle pass paid for), then maybe I’ll fight the digger machine again in Samus Returns. Probably delve into Star Fox Zero as well.
Gonna play some Runbow. Got it because my gurl Shantae is in it
Not a lot of time for games this weekend, but I'll definitely dip into Paladins as I just unlocked ranked play, and I'll try to check into the ARMS Party Crash and maybe visit Dragon Quest Builders and Darkest Dungeon.
I'm currently holidaying in a rather sunny France so I'm having to pick games to finish off that you can see in direct sunlight (and whilst under the influence of beer), so odyssey, stardew valley and golf story so far
Having just finished the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC, I'm shifting my attention to the Octo Expansion for Splatoon 2. It's a stiff challenge at times, but quite fun nonetheless.
Planning on getting back to Wolf 2, after a 6 hour binge last week. Maybe some Pocket Rumble if I can get to the store to pick up a card. Otherwise I'll be messing with linux, and playing some steam games. Mainly Slay the Spire and Golden Krone Hotel. Might squeeze in some Paladins too.
1. ARMS
Party Crasher event. I will use Pink White Kid Cobra.
2. Mario Tennis Aces
Continue the Adventure mode. But, i still stuck on Reflection Room. Pretty Hard Challenge.
3. Dillon's Dead-Heat Breakers 3DS
Try to continue Next Mission. Kinda Tough, because i stuck on low cash condition + another Mission at the same time. I think i should lend some money from Strange guy at Bar.
Hollow Knight
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and possibly some Celeste and Splatoon 2.
Donkey Kong Adventure DLC, Mario Tennis ACES, and finally beating Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn (which has been pretty fun and quite hilarious)
Mario Kart 8, as my toddler demands it. Nothing else, completely, permanently skint. Someone take pity and buy me Super Mario Odyssey?! 😂
Some DKC:TF, Mario Tennis Aces, Wolfenstein II and Yoku's Island Express, I guess.
Next weekend I will be playing Octopath Traveler and Captain Toad.
Probably Kirby All Star Allies and Bayonetta. I might throw in some Mario Kart 8. Then some games on PS4.
In order: Crash Bandicoot, Hollow Knight, Mega Man Legacy
DK Tropical Freeze and Earthlock
I recently picked up mgs: snake eater 3D for my 3ds and a circle pad pro, so I’ll be blundering around a jungle this weekend. Aside from that, I still need to play the octopath prelude demo and Hollow Knight. Perhaps I’ll even finish my placements in Overwatch
Going to mess about on myabandonware. Going to see if I can get some mid nineties games running on my sortof gaming laptop. Hoping to get Civilization 2, Command and Conquer, Mechwarrior 2, Red Alert 2, the Sims, and Battlefield 1942 running.
If there was a way to pay for easy access to these I would, but this looks like the only way to get these going. already bought all the other classics from my youth on goodoldgames.
Arms (Min Min for the Win Win) and hopefully a little bit of Sonic Spinball (the final bastion of my 13-year assault on Sonic Mega Collection)
Working on Contractor stuff on TF2 still, messing around with Atari Vault that I picked up during Steam Sale, Legacy of the Elder Star, maybe some Paper Mario: Color Splash (trying to get it finished, but so hard to get past the card combat that is more annoying than fun), and maybe Yoshi's Woolly World.
If all that fails me, maybe some panGEMic, or some other game in my Steam pile of shame.
I think I finally caught the Fortnite bug. I’ve played it quite a bit over the past three days and I can’t stop thinking about it. Between Battle Royales, I’m making my way through the second Crash Bandicoot game and attempting to level up enough in the ARMS Party Crash to get some limited edition badges.
My thingers hurt from all the crash but I am only midway through the second...
More XB1, after finding out Breakout is still in the rotation for Halo 5 matchmaking I'll be playing a lot of Halo 5 multiplayer. Will probably also play some other XB1 games like Master Chief Collection.
Don't want my Switch to get the cracking issue mentioned a few days ago so I'm limiting my Switch usage during the heatwave.
Splatoon 2 for me. I'm really getting into it and have been getting into the multiplayer matches more & more. I'm on the 4th area in hero mode, and just finished Towering Heights. I'm also trying out the stages with different weapons from time to time, but still missing a few unlockable weapons to fully complete stages with all weapons.
Windows Phone:
Total Conquest
What in the World?
Hitman GO
As the weather here in my corner of the lower Midwest is NOT burning hot and humid for a change, I'll be spending a lot of time doing some essential yardwork this weekend. I don't expect to fit in a lot of gaming, but I will be spending more time with Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on my Wii U when I do get the chance. I recently nabbed the third star.
I'm giving my 3DS's cartridge slot a brief break after finally finishing Ever Oasis (excellent game), so I've been trying my hand at Twilight Princess Picross. I'm new to picross, and so far it isn't bad!
Dk Mario rabbids expansion has been great so far , as well as Wolfenstein 2( just got done with the mechanical panzer level, so fun lol). But paladanis , paladins paladins , gotta level up , so impressed with this game , a solid 60 fps in handheld online shooter , yes please . Oh yes and a nice 2 and a half hour session of , mow that lawn.
Was playing Crash until I finally got fed up with it this morning. I'll probably play a bit of Rocket League later today and/or tomorrow.
Demons Are Crazy.
Golf Story and maybe some Witcher 3: Wild Hunt later.
I am going to be playing the Octopath demo and then it is back to Xenoblade 2
@Tyranexx
Question about Ever Oasis.
How do i level up quickly during Beginning part ?
The snakes at desert can kill me easily.
That's why i had neglected my Ever Oasis for 1 year due to lost my hype to continue.
YS VIII, New Leaf, Pokémon Ultra Moon and Pokémon Crystal.
Miles and Kilo, Stardew Valley, and Hyrule Warriors.
Me playing Pocket Rumble and Third Strikes this weekend but I just heard that Skullgirls: 2nd Encore had been announced for Switch so this got me excited. Yay for more 2D fighting games for Switch.
I recently picked up Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for 20 bucks on Switch so I imagine most of my weekend will be spent playing that along with some Fortnite.
Rabbids DK and Hollow Knight
Crash and PixelJunk Monsters 2
I'll be home this weekend so Sticking with Yakuza 0.
Switch taking a break till Shining Resonance on the 10th.
Finished up the DK DLC for Mario+Rabbids yesterday morning. I liked jumping back into that game, even if the dlc was only like 6.5 hrs
Having just finished Breath of Fire IV (it was really good - definitely a bit of an underplayed PS1 classic), I'm now focused on Kyle Hyde's last adventure, Last Window: The Secret of Cape West.
Finishing touches on Hollow Knight and the Octopath demo, diving into Pocket Rumble, and always Splatoon 2.
Was going to play Super Mario Galaxy 2 but think I'll go for Cave Story on Wiiware instead.
Pocket Rumble all the way!
Picked up Yooka-Laylee on sale last night so will boot that up this weekend. Also been going through my massive backlog as of late and close to beating Retro City Rampage (I love this game!).
Then all attention moves to Captain Toad
How is Hollow Knight not an option? Game is amazing.
Ys VIII.
Bought ROGUE ACES last week and I can't stop. Threw ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN on the 360. I find myself rebuying many 3rd party titles I own on GCN so I can play them on my 360 which is still hooked up to my HDTV... Small bit of shame with that one.
@Giygas_95 then what are you doing on Nintendo life?
playing shaq fu as dirty barry and more donkey kong tf
@ekwcll Because the question is what are you playing this weekend. Not what are you playing on a Nintendo system.
I finished I am Setsuna, finally, so I decided to work on Resident Evil Revelations. Trying to get this back log beat!
Switch: Lotta Kart with my sister; beat The Bridge; working my way through Cluster Truck; enjoying some puzzles in Chromagun later stages; progressing through Aces; and enjoying some Vs. Super Mario Bros.
Wii: Zelda II, Faxanadu, and Sonic 4: Eposode I.
I've been playing Pocket Rumble since it came out so I was playing that today. I also played Limbo today (so good!) so that's 2 games I'll be playing tomorrow too.
I also played a few hours of No Man's Sky on PS4. I haven't played that in so long.
So far I've played some Hollow Knight, Steamworld Dig, Fortnite and a lot of Football Manager.
Hollow Knight and Octopath are the ones I'm most interested in...
I'll be trying to go through a lot of the demos that are on my switch so that means getting through the octopath demos, dq builder demo, as well as the shining resonance demo
Once I'm done with those I'll finally start up Hollow Knight
Splatoon 2 and Overcoocked
God of war
Splatoon 2 is amazing
@Anti-Matter: Many of the enemies are weak against certain weapons. The snakes in particular are weak against spear attacks, which means a Drauk (a lizard-like race) is the way to go; the game gives you one very early on that has some bearing on the plot (Miura), and I've recruited some others.
As for leveling - beat up a lot of monsters, utilize the rolling mechanic when you need to, heal often (or go to a warp point as these also restore your party's health), and remember to return to the Oasis often as experience isn't applied to your party participants until you do so. Warp points become commonplace as you progress through the game, and there will be dungeons where you will have to return to do some character swapping due to needing a certain skill or trait in order to progress.
It's by no means a perfect game, but I enjoyed it enough to see it to the end credits! It's a shame that it probably flew under the radar for a lot of people as I think a full-blown series would have some potential.
I'm gonna purchase Pocket Rumble. See how that goes.
@Tyranexx I really like Ever Oasis too. I agree, it's too bad more people didn't play this game.
For the first time in over a year Splatoon 2 isn't on the list.
Ys VIII is way more fun than I expected!
Wolfenstein II and Attack on Titan 2 for me.
Hollow Knight, Overcooked, Mario Tennis Aces.
Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti
Well as there is a horrifically massive drought, I have nothing to play. Except of course more Splatoon 2 single player mode, and aim to get myself up to level 10 in turf war so I can take some names in ranking mode as well. There's no rush.
I just finished my first play through of INSIDE, which was great, and now I’m batting cleanup on the Rabbids Kong DLC to get ready for Octopath Traveler!
Fortnite and Octopath Traveler
Fortnite, Fortnite, Fortnite! I've got 90 hours into the game since it released on the Switch.
Me and my friends are coming to my house to play Mario Party 9, our agreed upon best Mario Party game, but on my own, probably Stardew Valley.
After finally getting around to seeing the Rampage movie this week I picked up a copy of Rampage: Total Destruction for the GameCube and have been playing it and nothing else all weekend. Awesome game, probably the best in the Rampage series.
Donkey Kong Baby!
