Its amazing how the comments are so negative regarding the project. When I started learning programming I used to extract assets myself just for the fun of making my version of a game I loved. I know its DMCAble these days, but let the guy have his zelda vision for as long as it lasts. He is not earning money from this AFAIK.
@The_Pixel_King I am one year into marriage and was wondering if still had hope to play with my friends like I used to. I lost all hope with your comment.
@TotalHenshin Me too. Started in 2010 and killed the ender dragon around 2013, 2014 I belive. Someday I will have to go back to check out how much has changed.
@MetalMan My thoughts. I would understand if it was all human labor, but they are machined. I understand the guy had to draw them, but he did it once. I would rather draw it myself and pay someone to machine them for me.
@itslukec Maybe they would only use if needed. Like a point into the adventure where it gets frustrating for some reason, then just skip the battles. Better than buying the game and never finishing it.
@Expa0 I was talking on a broad way, not specifically about Chrono. Regarding the encounter rate, many JRPGs from Snes and early era had ultra high rates. First that comes to mind is Dragon Ball RPG for snes.
@itslukec To me random encounters are a chore, specially in old games where after a battle you can barely move a pixel and you are already on another battle. I don't mind turn based, though. Just let me see the monsters so I can avoid them if I want to.
Maybe by being too similar this game is actually different from all the other Zelda-Inspired games? I mean, it may be like getting a new zelda game for the Snes, and I like it.
@Spiders Also played the Red version back then. After that, I always desired to go back, but never did. Still, Arseus did not captivate me. Did not like the looks of the game. I am more interested in someday play the Lets Go games, purely for nostalgia reasons.
@Pikman I also don't feel the hype, and grew up playing Metroid 3 on SNES and then every others (except Primes). Maybe because to me the 2D Metroids had a higher sense of mistery. But I really enjoyed Metroid 2 Samus Returns on 3DS, so I think I will enjoy this one as soon as I start playing it.
@BloodNinja I think they should, indeed. I am not an US citizen, though. Here in Brazil the old white president faces were removed to give place to a fictional woman that represents the republic. Not perfect, but better than the old folks with dubious opinion.
@Zuljaras Name changing is not erasing history. It's just stopping honoring people that on day were thought as good. Never heard about streets that were named after racist guys back in the 1800s and recently had their names changed? It will not alone stop the abuse, sure, but is one step towards a better society.
@Zuljaras I replied to the first poster, who said: “Those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it.”. When you say nobody new the reason for the change, that means they did not know the history, and they would repeat it anyway. If people don't know history, it does not matter if the name has changed or not. So I say just change the name of the character that was clearly named as a homage to a bad person.
@Zuljaras When everything is stagnant, there is no history to be told. Changing the name, and remembering the reason for the change, is what makes this an important history lesson.
@nessisonett It really depends on the group you are playing. I was the GM of a group where a guy was always trying to score some girls. Always. I got tired and made some girls rob him and it was solved.

Re: DOOM Is Getting A New And Improved Definitive Release On Super Nintendo
This is really nice! Sad that the cart is not red. The first time I completed the game was on SNES many years ago.

Re: PC Port Of Zelda: Link's Awakening Offers HD Visuals And 120fps Scrolling
This is really nice! I like that it changes the way you experience the game but not the visuals gameplay. Its like playing a N64 game in HD.

Re: Review: Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - A Fair Port For Chrono Trigger's Follow-Up
@itslukec Well, as long as the options are there and more people are having fun, thanks to the options, what is the matter?

Re: Review: Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition - A Fair Port For Chrono Trigger's Follow-Up
Clearly not a great remaster. As I never played the original, but always wanted to do so, this is probably the best way to do so.
Re: You Can Get Lost In This Hand-Drawn Zelda Map From 1986
I really like TLoZ, but I still have to complete both I and II. My brother gave me a Zelda Game & Watch this christmas, I think now is the time.

Re: Review: Crysis Remastered Trilogy - A Slick FPS Package That Runs Fine On Switch
I am not sure. I have a PC and a Switch. Usually games that can be played with such better graphics on PC I skip the switch version.

Re: Mini Review: Subnautica: Below Zero - A Rather Cool Sequel
Three Subnautica reviews?! Subnautception. I am going to favorite only the pack review, in order to remember to buy it later.
Re: Mini Review: Subnautica - A Wondrous Trip Under The Sea
Two Subnautica reviews? My head hurts. But when I searched for the other review I noticed it was about a pack.
