I refuse to believe that in all of play testing, nobody tried to hold items while in the air. That means, apparently, that attempting to hold items in the air was kept in the games. How does that make sense? Haha. I would patch the ability to "hold" items in the air to get rid of this particular duplication glitch because that's easiest, and it didn't make sense in the first place anyway. The bow and arrow glitch and weapon/shield/bow glitch would obviously take more work to do.
Come to think of it, I trust NintendoLife. The comment section though? Sorry, can't believe that just occurred to me. I'll be reading NintendoLife articles still, but the comment sections? Nope, not until I've played the game. See you all on the other side.
@sanderev I pre-ordered TotK initially, then I saw vouchers advertised. But I knew for it to be worth it I would need a second ga-- holy *****, Pikmin 4 is eligible too?! So I cancelled my pre-order, got the vouchers, and pre-ordered both with vouchers!
@MrMichaelJames you might like the Nintendo Online vouchers if you have a subscription. $100 for two vouchers, and Tears of the Kingdom is one of the games you can get with one of the vouchers, effectively making it $50. I personally put my other voucher towards Pikmin 4. As of now, Pikmin is forecast to be $60. So I saved $30 with the vouchers
@FelixSandwichez just bookmark your YouTube subscription page instead of the YouTube homepage. Now you'll only see videos you trust won't spoil the game. Skip the homepage.
Can we maybe have a guide on how to "mute" stuff on the internet? I'm not that knowledgable how to do that. I'm on a MacBook using Safari if that helps.
@YoshiF2 Replace Link with another character in BotW as well as all the other enemies, bosses, and some weapons that are copyrighted, and it would still be a fun game. It is just a radical departure from the Zelda formula. I like it, but it's understandable that some people didn't like it; but I bet some would magically like the gameplay if it wasn't a Zelda game.
BotW was Nintendo's first attempt at an open world Zelda, and I can't wait to see how they improved upon it in the sequel because admittedly the open world was a bit bare and I did miss dungeons.
@FishyS Traitor! Haha. I’m a water main ever since the first generation and so I’m going to be picking the doofy looking duck
I was uncomfortable with Let’s Go, but I picked Eevee because well I figured I could get a water starter via Vaporeon; then I learned I couldn’t evolve it…
@MrPinguy it could be the whole landmass of Spain and Portugal, but it’s clearly based on Spain based on what others have said on the architecture in the game already.
@MrPinguy I thought it was Spain based on the starter names alone. You can make a case for Portuguese with Sprigatito, but the same can be said for Spanish and Italian. However, Fuecoco is clearly from Spanish.
It has to be either Spain or Italy. The starter names are a dead giveaway. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly. I’m unsure about the last one, but the first one is a rendering of gatto (italian) or gato (spanish), and Fuecoco is a rendering of fuoco (italian) or fuego (spanish). I can’t figure out Quaxly though.
@NoLife It might be similar to Sword and Shield, not Legends. We haven’t seen evidence to go either way yet. The only thing we’ve seen is roaming Pokémon, and that is in both Sword/Shield and Legends.
@P-Man I think they don’t want to break the tradition of releasing new generations every three years, and since the last one was 2019, we’re due for a new one.
Nintendo may like fan projects like this, but unfortunately they have to shut off ALL fan projects, not just the ones they don't like. Otherwise fan projects that pornographize Nintendo IPs can just cry it's unfair when other fan projects aren't shut down but theirs is.
This is going to hurt Nintendo's third-party sales. Most, if not all, third-party games are OLD and can be found on Steam. Meaning if you already own a steam deck but not a Switch, the only incentive to buy a Switch is for their first-party games. I hope this motivates Nintendo to step up their first-party games and stop relying heavily on third-party software ports.
If this doesn't have that annoying stamina bar that Stardew Valley has, count me in. I know Stardew Valley is really well liked generally, but the stamina bar turned me off from the game.
The important thing is that the fan released it first. So who cares who was developing it first? The fan beat Nintendo to the punch, that's all; and Nintendo is simply being a baby about it.
I keep seeing comments like "omg scalpers" but the pre-order button for the UK store is still up. Plus, Super Mario 3D All Stars has been up for several hours in the US now, and Amazon and Best Buy still have their pre-order buttons available. Either they're not restricting their pre-orders like they're supposed to in limited runs, or Nintendo made more than we thought (haha, yeah right).
Edit: Or a third option, scalpers don't care about either product. Is that actually possible?

@Captain-N It's Japan. LOL
Re: Round Up: Here Are The First "Hands On" Impressions Of Pikmin 4
Why did you crop the picture? It made me almost believe that winged Pikmin wouldn't be in this game. I'm glad I searched for the original picture.
Edit: Now I can see that a tiny part of winged Pikmin bodies appear in the upper right corner of your cropped picture. My bad.

The Y+B glitch is better and it's not hard to pull off.

Was Link Between Worlds a remake or a new game? If a new game, why wasn't it mentioned since it has the Master Sword in it?
Re: Random: Nintendo's New Zelda Video Asks "When Did You First Wield The Master Sword?"
First was Ocarina of Time. Favorite is Wind Waker; I thought it was cool we had to progressively unlock its' power.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet Announced, Releasing Worldwide In "Late 2022"
@Saf01 Nor Grey, Eclipse, or Gun (kidding on the last one, but it’s what the community said). They stopped after the 4th gen and that’s a shame.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet Announced, Releasing Worldwide In "Late 2022"
@Xaessya I wish they would go back to THREE games per generation. The third installment in every generation was always fun.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet Announced, Releasing Worldwide In "Late 2022"
I almost always go for the second version, so I’m team Violet until convinced otherwise.

Damn, that grass starter looks cute. But I’ve been a water main ever since the first gen and I’m not about to break my tradition.

@HenHiro “gameplay footage is not final.” We can only hope
